Dry Lips Solution - Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub: Review

Hello beauties! I don't know about you but I've always had a huuuge problem with my lips during winter time! They get super dry and chapped from the cold air, so I always seek for some good products to help me deal with this! For me there are two main products that can make my lips feel better and flake free - a great lip balm and a lip scrub. Today I'll be talking about my favorite lip exfoliant that I recently found at Lush and it's their Popcorn Lip Scrub. However, if you are looking for a nice scrub and you don't like the scent/taste of popcorn, Lush have some other great flavors to choose from. :))

If you are not familiar with Lush lip scrubs, basically, the idea behind their products is that you  scoop a small amount with your finger and you start exfoliating your lips until the dead skin is fully removed. Then you just lick off the excess and you are good to go. I like to apply the scrub on dry lips, because it works better in my opinion, but I know some people prefer to wet them first cuz it doesn't feel as harsh. I exfoliate my lips every night before I go to bed, as part of my skin care routine. Then, I apply a thick layer of my favorite lip balm and I'm set. In the morning I have super soft, smooth baby lips, ideally prepped for putting lipstick on! :))

Lush Popcorn Lip scrub

The Popcorn Lip Scrub comes in a nice sturdy glass container which is very nice for traveling, since it's not too big and it won't take too much room. The product is, of course, hand made, and consists of castor sugar, jojoba oil, sea salt and coconut oil. The exfoliating granules are very fine, which is great since they are not too abrasive on the lips, but at the same time they do the trick perfectly!

The thing I'm also super excited about is the flavor! The lip scrub tastes and smells divine and I can not tell you how amazing it is! It reminds me of salted caramel which is one of my all time favorite drinks and of course we cannot pass the popcorn flavor, too! The combination of sugar and sea salt works beautifully in this product and it's perfect for people who don't have major sweet tooth, like myself. :)) If you, however, don't fancy eating the scrub you can always rinse it off with water, this won't change the way the product works. <33

Lush Popcorn Lip scrub
Overall, I highly recommend trying Lush lip scrubs if you struggle with dry lips and there's no matter which flavor you choose, they all work amazing. :))

Also, the pot contains 25g. product which is Vegan and Not tested on animals!

Thank you so much for reading and please let me know how you deal with dry lips, I'd love to know! :)) Have an amazing week everyone! <3

XO,
Andrea

  25. Cool, didn't know lush had lip scrubs! I orignilly bought one at Nordstroms for $26, but decided to return it because I thought I could just make it myself with some brown sugar and oil. It didn't really make my lips as smooth and soft as I thought. I'll have to give this a try =)

  32. I had extremely dry lips this Christmas which I normally cured with Bee’s Wax balm but this would’t go away so I had a bit of an online search and found a website,http://drylips.org, which suggested it could be health related. I got a check up from my GP and low and behold, I had low blood Iron count!

  33. Thanks for the fantastic review, I personally make my own out of sugar, olive oil and then add an essencial oil to aid healing like aloe or menthol.
