January Beauty Favorites

Hello lovelies! Today I woke up feeling super productive and so I decided to finally do my January Favorites post. I know I’m a bit late, but better late than never, right? :)) So without further ado, here is what I’ve been loving this past month! <3

 My January 2013 Beauty Favorites
1.The first thing is my moisturizer. I am quite picky with my moisturizers because they are the most important step in my skin care routine. If I don’t have nice, hydrated skin even my makeup looks terrible, so I am constantly trying to find a moisturizer that actually works well on my skin. The one I quite love is this Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer. I talked about it in my Winter Beauty Essentials post and I’m really impressed with it. It moisturizer really well, it evens out my skin tone and makes it really dewy. I usually don’t go for drugstore skincare products but this one had been recommended to me and I’m glad I tried it.

2. Next, I have been obsessed with the POREfessinal face primer by Benefit. This stuff is amazing! It minimizes the appearance of my pores and mattifies the skin by taking all the shine away. Plus, it definitely helps my makeup to stay longer and creates an even “canvas” on the face, prepping it nicely for foundation! I now have three mini travel sized bottles, but when I run out, I’ll be most certainly purchase the full size!! :)

3. I haven’t been wearing much foundation during January, since my skin was behaving well and I didn’t need much coverage. On days like this I love using BB Creams or Tinted Moisturizers cuz I like giving my skin a little rest from time to time. The one product that stood out to me the most has been the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream. I did a full on review on it and you can see it here, so I won’t go into much details but I quite like it. I think it’s a perfect replacement of your foundation during winter.

4. Next, we have this Buffing Bush from Real Techniques. It came in a set (core collection), which I showed you in my most recent haul (see here). I had heard so many amazing reviews on this particular brush online, so I had to try it myself! Well, let’s just say that it didn’t disappoint! :) Haha this brush is a miracle! I use it for foundation (even though in the set there is a specific foundation brush) and it gives the most amazing, flawless coverage! You just buff in your foundation/bb cream with slow circular motions and the skin looks so even and perfect! I highly, highly recommend checking Real Techniques brushes, because they work miracles and are SO soft and nice! <3 Even though I just recently tried this brush it had to be included in the Favorites, because it’s now a staple piece in my makeup bag! :)

5. Oh don’t my lips feel/look terrible during the colder months! I struggle enough with dry lips as it is, but it winter it’s just the worse! One thing that definitely helps with this issue has been Lush’s Lip Scrub in Popcorn. It exfoliates so well, removing all dead skin and leaving the lips super soft and smooth! It also tastes incredible on salted caramel - YUM! :) I have a full review on the scrub and you can check it out here if you’re interested!

6. For lips I also love this EOS Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet. This stuff smells soooo wonderful it’s not ever real! I want to eat it! It’s basically yumminess in an egg-shaped pot lol ! And if you didn’t know EOS actually stands for “Evolution Of Smooth” and I can see why. This lip balm is definitely a great lip moisturizer and I love it. It is also 95% organic, 100% natural and paraben-free. Thumbs up for that!

7. For nail polish, I adore this OPI We’ll always have Paris”. It’s a lovely, deep burgundy red color which I love for fall/winter time. It stays on the nails for days without chipping and it has a nice glossy finish. Also, can we please have a moment for its name! Ohh, I love Paris so much! <3

8. Last but certainly not least, I loved spraying all over myself the Miss Dior Chérie Eau de Perfume by Dior. This is my all time favorite winter scent and I cannot tell you how much I love it! It has some fruity notes and it actually screams “youth” to me. It’s a nice, classy and elegant fragrance that just makes me feel sophisticated and chic while making me dream about the Eiffel Tower and Champs-Élysées!! Did I mention that I LOVE Paris? <33 Hehe, you are not familiar with this fragrance, go give it a sniff, but bear in mind that it’s not everyone’s taste. Many of my girlfriends actually can’t stand it at all! The perfume reminds me a lot of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle; their scents are almost identical to me, so if you’ve tried that one, you know what I mean. :))

I also wanted to include a non-beauty favorite and it's my puppy! <3 I love him to pieces and during January he has been such a lovely, well-behaved dog and he made me really proud! Hahah! :))

That’s all for my January 2013 Favorites beauties! I hope you enjoyed this post and don’t forget to let me know what you’ve been loving in Janurary! :))

Andrea

And such great minds! Miss Dior Cherie has been my signature scent for years - it's so youthful and effeminate! And I'm also an ardent EOS lip balm fan ... though I think mine is melon flavour!
