Lush Grease Lightning Spot Treatment: Review

Hello everyone! In today’s post I want to share with you something that I have been loving for a couple of months now and I can honestly say that it helped my skin to get better and cleaner! I’m talking about Lush’s Grease Lightning Spot Treatment! This is my second bottle and I love it! <3

Lush Grease Lightning Spot Treatment
The concept behind this spot treatment is that basically when you have an active breakout you just put a little bit of the product on top of it and leave it sit for a couple of hours. It will dry out the spot (but not the skin around it) and will also sooth it. You may need to use it several times before the zit is completely gone but you can actually reapply as many times a day as you want. I’ve used other spot treatments in the past and I can say that this one works a little bit slower but it if you’re persistent, it will heal the pimple much better and you won’t end up with acne scaring.

Grease Lightning has a clear gel consistency and contains of natural ingredients. Some of them are: Tea Tree Oil and Seawater (have antiseptic properties), Aloe Vera (sooths and moisturizes), Grape Juice (cools and calms the skin), Thyme and Rosemary (antibacterial). As you can imagine the combination between those ingredients is a great prerequisite for the amazing properties of this product! :))

I can honestly say that this spot treatment works miracles on my occasional breakouts, but actually it does even more than that! The assistance lady that sold me Grease Lightning at Lush explained that the product could be use as toner, too! Basically what you do is you wash your face at night (once a week!) and then rub a bit of the product into your entire face. Then you just put on regular moisturizer and you are set. This will help to control the excess oils that you might have, especially in your T-zone and will also matify the skin! Tbh, I was quite skeptical about this step, thinking that the product will terribly dry out my face, but as long as you apply moisturizer on top everything is perfect. I highly recommend using Grease Lightning as toner, especially if you have oily / acne-prone skin!

This product also has a nice, subtle scent that reminds me of herbs! It’s very gentle on the skin and leaves a nice clean feel. Also it’s definitely not greasy, which I love!

Hope you found this review helpful and thank you so much for reading! :))

XO,
Andrea

  23. Hello I'm new here!
Thanks for your visit to my blog. Now I discover your blog, I will follow your posts.
Thanks for your review about this Lush product.
I love Lush products but sometimes I'm hesitant in buying because too often recount miraculous effects. I think it's important to read the views of the bloggers, and choose whether to buy it or not.

  24. I have to give Lush a try, it's just the price! Sounds like a miracle in a bottle! I've been using Neutrogena's Visibly Clear range which also seems to work pretty well, best thing about Neutrogena's range is that their best-selling products can now be picked up for a £1 here in the UK! Check out my blog post to find out where to buy and my opinions on the products! :)
