Hello beautiful ladies! How is your weekend going? I’ve been blessed with really lovely weather where I live and I have been sunbathing and working on the blog pretty much all weekend! (: The pretty blossomed trees and the happy sunshine have inspired me to try and create a whimsical pastel spring makeup look and that is what I’m going to be showing you today! Hope you enjoy and let me know in the comments if you like wearing more color on your eyes or are fonder of more natural eye shadows? <3

Products Used:

Face:

Pupa Professionals Smoothing Fundation Primer in #1 Transperent
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in 22 Beige Rose
YSL Touche Éclat in Number 1
Too Faced Primed & Poreless Powder
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil in Milk Chocolate
Essence Silky Touch Blush in 10 Adorable
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Blonde

Brows:

Urban Decay NAKED Palette in the shade Naked 2

Eyes:

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease eye Shadow Primer
Essence Silky Touch Blush in 10 Adorable
Inglot Eye Shadow Rainbow Palette in the color 104R
Urban Decay NAKED Palette in Naked 2
Urban Decay NAKED Palette in Venus
Benefit They’re Real Mascara
Too Faced Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Perfect Black

Lips:

EOS Lip Balm in Sweet Mint
Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer in 102 Nova

I really like how this makeup look turned out because it incorporates some color without it being too much, I feel like. If you want to know how I achieved it please follow the step-by-step tutorial below! :) I just wanted to mention that even though I used quite a few products, the entire look took me no more than 20 minutes to do, so it’s pretty easy! ((:

Step 1: The first thing I did was to cleanse and moisturize my face. Once the moisturizer was completely sunken into my skin I went ahead and applied Pupa’s foundation primer. It helps your makeup to stay in place all day and also makes an even, smooth canvas for your foundation. Next, using my favorite foundation brush (Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki brush) I applied my Chanel Vita Lumiere Foundation all over my face and down my neck. I love this foundation because it’s really lightweight but at the same time gives a lovely medium coverage.

Step 2: The next thing I usually do after my foundation is nicely buffed into my skin, is to conceal my under eye circles. I love using YSL Touche Éclat highlighting pen because it really covers up my dark circles and makes me look really fresh and awake.

Step 3: To set my foundation and concealer I used the Too Faced Primed and Poreless translucent powder. This has been my go-to powder recently and it really helps my foundation & concealer to stay in place, plus it’s really light so it doesn’t feel cakey or flakey. What I do is I just take some product onto my Real Techniques buffing brush and gently pad it in the areas I need.

Step 4: Since this is a spring – inspired look, I wanted my face to look a bit more shaped and to give a nice sun-kessed glow. To do so I used one of my favorite bronzers by Too Faced – Chocolate Soleil in Milk Chocolate. I applied it in the hollows of my cheeks, on the top of my forehead, around my hairline and down my neck. I like to use the Contour Brush from Real Techniques because it makes the bronzer application really easy and I like the precision it gives.

Step 5: As for cheeks, I decided to use the Silky Touch Blush in 10 Adorable from Essence. It gives a really pretty flush of color, which brightens up by complexion beautifully without being too obvious. I feel like this shade is the perfect one for this look because it is really settle and doesn’t distract from the colorful eyes. For highlighter I applied some of my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Blonde on the top of my check, down my nose and a bit on my cupid’s bow, using just my fingertips. :)

Step 6: Using my Too Faced angled brush and the color Naked 2 from the NAKED palette I filled in my eyebrows. I love giving them a nicer shape and making them look more dense and full! :))

Step 7: Now for the exciting part, the eyes, I started out by applying my favorite eye shadow primer by Too Faced. I ran it all over my lids. This helps for the shadows to stay in place without creasing and also makes the colors more vibrant. Yay!

Step 8: For the actual coloring, weirdly I decided to use my Essence blush as a base color. It is a really pretty pastel peachy color and I feel like it goes beautifully with the mint green. I applied it all over my lids with a regular shader brush. To add a bit of definition to the look, I applied some of the color Naked 2 from the UD NAKED palette just on the outer corner of my eyes and into the crease. It is a really lovely light brown-grayish color, which fits perfectly into this look in my opinion. :) I then applied some of the color Venus from the NAKED palette onto my brow bone for a bit of uplifting effect. (:

Step 9: For the gorgeous hint of mint I chose to use the shade 104R from the Inglot Rainbow Eye shadow palette. It has three colors in it and I went for the lightest because I think it’s the prettiest haha. In my MAC 219 Pencil brush I picked up some products and carefully pad it in the inner corner of my eyes, around the tear ducts. At first the color was too bright so I dust out a bit with a fluffy brush until I got the desired color intensity. I really like how all colors compliment each other and I how natural, yet colorful my eyes look! <3

Step 10: Now that we are done with the eye shadows it’s time to finish off the look with some mascara and eyeliner. For my lashes I decided to use the Benefit They’re Real mascara, which I absolutely love. It gives lovely volume and length to my lashes and I used it both on my upper and lower lashes. I applied some of the Too Faced Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner on my tight line and on my waterline. This gave a nice debt and definition to the look. (:

Step 11: Moving on to lips, firstly I put some of the EOS Lip Balm in Sweet Mint just to moisturize and prep my lippies. Then I chose to use the shade Nova from the Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquers. It is a lovely pink color, which goes on really nicely with the whole look, giving it a pretty spring-y vibe! (:

Aaand that’s the finished look! I really hope that you enjoyed it and please let me know if you decide to recreate it yourself! Have a lovely week ahead! <3

Lots of love,
Andrea
