Hello beauties! How
are you, I really hope everything’s well! I am SO excited that June is now here
because I have a few really exciting things going on this month and not to
mention that hot summer days will hopefully start to kick in. Having said that,
I literally have no idea where did May go, I feel like I say this every month
but seriously – May just slipped away so quickly! During May I wasn’t feeling
like wearing much eye makeup and I was concentering mostly on my face and lips
so these are the majority of the products that I was in-love with! Hope you
enjoy! :)
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua
Foundation ($45 /£32)
I’m going to start
with the most exciting product for me this month – the oh-so-famous Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation. I
used to use this all the time but for some reason when I ran out I didn’t
repurchase it and started using the Revlon Colorstay instead. But since it’s getting
warmer now I needed something lighter and so I went ahead and got a new bottle of
the Chanel. When I applied it I instantly rediscovered it and loved it all over
again! It is SO lightweight, it gives a lovely medium coverage and most
importantly it makes my skin look so healthy and glowy (def not shiny though).
It applies like charm and feels super luxurious and soft on the skin. I am so
happy that I started using it again and I highly recommend checking it out! I
know that it is on the pricier side but it’s totally worth it in my opinion
because it really is a fantastic product. <3
Too Faced
Primed & Poreless Powder ($30)
Continuing with the
face basics, for the second month in a row I have been obsessed with the Too Faced Pimed & Poreless Translucent Powder. This
stuff is just a.m.a.z.i.n.g!! I won’t go into much details cuz I have a full
review on it but I love how finely milled and light it is. It adjusts to my
skin tone and minimizes the appearance of pores, which is really important for
me. It mattifyes the skin without making it look powdery or cakey and sets my
makeup for hours! LOVE it and can’t recommend it enough for, especially for the
summertime!
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil
Bronzer in Milk Chocolate ($30)
Over the past few
months I’ve grown up to be a total bronzer girl. I’ve always used a little bit
in the hollows of my cheeks but now I love to sculpture my entire face and to
give it a nice healthier look. My best friend in this has been the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in Milk
Chocolate. This little gem it completely matte, which is my first
requirement for an everyday bronzer (who likes looking like a disco ball during
the day anyway) and it doesn’t look muddy or orang-y at all! It applies really
easily and a huge bonus for all of you chocolate lovers out there – it smells
like real cocoa nom nom! <3 The only thing I am not too sure about this is
the shade. I got the light one because as you know I am super pale and it works
fine now but I am afraid that as I start getting tanner for the summer it will
not show up anymore cuz it’s really light.
So if you have darker skin I definitely think that you should get the darker
version and I even consider getting it myself for the warmer months. :)
Rimmel London Apocalips Lip
Lacquer in Nova (£5,99)
As for the lips, I
have been wearing a lot my Rimmel Apocalipsin Nova. It is such a gorgeous shade, which is the perfect pink for my
lips. It is a nice cooler toned Barbie pink, which compliments my skin tone
beautifully (or at least I hope so haha). I am a massive fan of the whole
Apocalips range because their formula is outstanding. Being lip lacquers they
are a nice mixture of lipstick and lip gloss and they feel super lovely on the
lips. They are not drying and the color pay off is insane! Oh they are also
pretty long lasting and stay on for ages! If you’d like to see me wearing Nova click
here. (:
Essie – Fiji ($8 / £7,99)
May was a month when I feel like I was changing my nail polish
ever other day, which is usually not typical for me. This time though I was
going crazy, there were so many fab shades that I wanted to wear but I think
the highlight of the month has to be Essie – Fiji. Every time I wore it I got
tons of compliments on how classy and sophisticated it looked! And I personally
couldn’t agree more - it is such a beautiful and feminine shade that I feel
like every woman has to have in her collection. It is a really pretty milky pale
pink color with no shimmer of glitter in it and I think it would look gorgeous
on any skin tone and will also make you feel super tanned! <3
Overall, May was a really lovely month beauty wise and I hope
you enjoyed my favorites. I definitely recommend checking them all out now let
the summer days roll in! <3 Have a fab week and I’ll see you soon!
Have you
tried any of these products before? What product have you been loving lately?
:)
Lots of love,
Hey!

I was thinking of purchasing the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation but I usually just wear a BB cream. What kind of brush do you apply it with?
ReplyDeleteI usually apply it either with my fingers or with my favorite foundation brush - Sigma F80 :) Which BB Cream do you use? I want to try something new? xxx

Ooowww that essie nailpolish!! It's incredible. I really have to try bright nailpolishes... =O
ReplyDelete(The comment you left on my blog was so sweet <3 Thank you!)
I love Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation and Essie's Fiji looks like a very pretty color! Can you do a post on how you take such great pictures? (the camera you use, how you get such great natural lightning [what time of the day, where you take your pictures]) I have a great camera but I find that my pictures don't turn out nearly as great as yours do (a lot times I find it's the lighting) so maybe a post like that would help? :)
ReplyDeleteahemitsemme.blogspot.com
Actually I have been thinking about doing a post on how I take my photos so I will probably do one soon! I will let know know when it's up! :) xx
DeleteThat sounds great! I can't wait! :)

The bronzer looks great, if you're looking for another matte one, I'd recommend Benefit's Hoola. That was in fact my first bronzer and I was equally blown away by it as you are with yours. It doesn't have a great smell, though, but I love it anyways, it's not an overly dark shade, either.

That foundation has been on my "to investigate and probably buy" list for a while now! It sounds amazing! I am in LURVE with my Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, too! I love everything about it. I am typically NW20 but I bought the darker version because it wasn't that much darker than the Milk Chocolate and I figured I'd just use a light hand. It works great - perfectly natural sun-kissed glow! As a fellow pale chick, I definitely think you could rock the darker shade throughout the summer! Great favorites post! :D
ReplyDeleteGoing to buy these now, great post!
