Hello beauties! How
are you doing? I feel wonderful since all my exams and stress are finally over
and I can just relax and enjoy the summer (even though it’s pouring rain
outside as we speak)! :) If you follow me on Twitter you may know that recently
I’ve become really into skincare. It’s not that I haven’t taken care of my skin
before but I just recently started reading and be more passionate on the
subject. With that being said, last week I went shopping and instead of getting
any more makeup, which we all know I don’t need at the moment, I decided to
pick up some old loved skincare bits as well as some new goodies. I was also
sent some lovely products for consideration and I decided that I might as well
do a haul and show you everything I got. Hope you’ll enjoy! :)
Avene Thermal Spring Water
The first thing I
knew I wanted to get was Avene Thermal
Spring Water. I’ve been seeing rave reviews on this everywhere and I was
really tempted to try it out. Basically the Thermal Water is supposed to calm
and sooth irritated skin and to restore its natural balance while making it
super soft and even. I’ve seen people using it for load of different purposes though,
like as toner, makeup setting spray (I’m really curious to see how it will work)
or as a calming spray after shaving / epilation. It’s great for all skin types
and I can’t wait to use it. Oh, and the product was two for the price of one so
I couldn’t resist haha. :)
La Roche-Posay
Physiological Cleansing Gel
I am new to La Roche-Posay and I have never tried
any of their products but from what I’ve heard they really know what they are
doing. Being one of the leading French skincare brands I was super excited to
try some of their stuff so I went straight ahead to their counter. After a
quick chat with the lady she recommended me getting this Physiological Cleansing Gel. She explained that it’s great for
Normal to Combinational Sensitive skin and even though mine is not sensitive
really she said it would work wonders. The gel is great for cleansing,
purifying and refreshing the skin while ‘respecting its physiological balance’.
Well sounds good to me and since I was on a hunt for a new facial cleanser I
picked it up! :)
La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL
50+ Melt-In Cream
I think we should skip
the part where I explain you how vital sun protection is and just agree that we
HAVE to do it no matter what! Having this in mind I had a minor breakdown where
I realized that my absolutely favorite Diorsnow sunscreen is almost gone haha. I
immediately went searching for it in the store but apparently it’s not being
sold in my country (I got it from Spain last year) so I had to think fast and
get a different one. The one that caught my eye was this La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL 50+ Melt-In Cream (now that was
mouthful). I liked that it has SPF 50+, which is hard to find but it’s
definitely important to me cuz I like to be fully protected haha. The same
sunscreen comes both in liquid and cream version but I always prefer creams for
some reason. The product is supposed to be great for sensitive skin prone to
sun intolerance and they say that it prevents from pigment spots, which is
lovely! :) I used this yesterday and really liked the consistency, so far so
good!
Lush Ocean Salt Facial
Scrub
I have a full
review on the scrub if you are interested to know more about it (click here)
but I really love it and this is my 4th jar. I use it twice a week
as kind of deeper exfoliation and it works absolute miracles. My skin feels so
clean and soft to the touch it’s insane! I seriously recommend getting this,
unless you have sensitive skin, cuz it might be a bit too harsh for you. :)
Neutrogena Visibly Clear
Oil-Free Moisturizer
I’ve mentioned this
moisturizer before and I really like it so I decided to repurchase it. What I
love about it is that it is really lightweight and oil-free so it doesn’t feel
heavy on the skin like a lot of other moisturizers do. It absorbs really
quickly and hydrates me skin really well, leaving it smooth and soft! :) My
favorite thing about this though is that this product evens out my skin tone
and brightens it up so nicely and it actually looks really healthy and clean. I
definitely recommend having a peek at this because it works lovely plus it’s
quite affordable! :)
Bioderma Sensibio H2O
I feel like I’m
showing new bottle of Bioderma in every single haul I do but that’s purely
because I absolutely LOVE it and it works soooo well! <3 It cleanses my face
and removes my makeup like nothing else I’ve tried and it is so gentle and light!
I like to use it at night as makeup remover and then in the morning as toner.
It works incredible both ways and I’ve noticed huge improvement in my skin
condition since I started using it last year! :)
Bioderma Sensibio Eye
I am such a sucker
for eye creams! I have tons and I love them all but I am always on a hunt for a
new one haha! I actually saw my mum using the Bioderma Sensibio Eye Contour Gel last week so I decided to try it
and I absolutely loved it so I picked up one for myself! It moisturizes my eye
area really nicely and surprisingly enough it de-puffed my eyes a bit, which is
amazing! It is really light and absorbs quickly. I’ve also noticed that after
using concealer on top of the cream it doesn’t cake or crease and it actually
applies easier! Such a winner!
Botanical Choice Face Masks
While I was at the
drugstore I spotted these facemasks from Botanical Choice and I decided to pick
up two. The ones I got are the Purifying
Dead Sea Mud Mask and the Skin
Brightening Natural Pearl Mask. I am huge lover of facemasks for some
reason, even though they rarely do anything to my skin so we’ll see how it goes
with these two haha. I have never tried anything from Botanical Choice but from
what I’ve seen on other blogs they are lovely, so my hopes are high! :) I’ll
definitely update you on how I like them soon!
B.liv by Cellnique Skincare
Goodies
A couple of weeks
ago I was contacted by the lovely brand B.liv and they offered me to send me
some products to review. I immediately said yes, because I’ve seen reviews on
their product and they are always really great. They asked me to describe my
skin type and condition as detailed as possible so that they can send me the
product that will actually work for me. The first thing they sent me is Off With Those Heads Serum Gel, which
is great for battling blackheads and whiteheads, which is a big concern of mine.
I started using this last week so I still don’t have much of opinion on it bit
I’ll keep you posted. The next thing I got was the Shrink and Tighten large pores diminishing night complex. It is
described as “ This pore-diminishing night complex eliminates large pores,
while ensuring your skin’s firmness and brightness at all hours”. Now I don’t
know about the brightening but this stuff works absolute wonders to my pores;
they are actually not visible after using this. At all! I am super impressed
with this so far and I can’t wait to do a full review on it soon! And last but
not least I got two of B’liv’s Immerse
Me Japan Silk Masks. They are supposed to give instant hydration to the
deepest layers of the skin, which is actually sustainable. I already used the
first one and I quite like it; it definitely moisturized my skin and it was
feeling so soft and smooth the next day! <3 One thing I have to say though
is that the masks are quite messy to use and it takes forever for the product
to fully absorb! :)
So these were all
skincare bits that I recently got and I hope you enjoyed this post. I will do
full reviews on each of the products as soon as I form opinion on them, so keep
your eyes peeled! :) Have a great day everyone!
Have you tried any of these products? What
do you think of them?
Lots of love,
I've been wanting to get the Bioderma range since I heard of it about a month ago. I've heard really good things about it. I must see where I can get it cheapest though as I'm trying to save some money at the moment and not spend lots!

ReplyDeleteLove this post! I really like the Bioderma micellar water, I think it's amazing! I've been using it for more than 5 months now and I'm never going back to my old ways of using whatever toner I could find. It does a great job at removing my makeup aswell :) one bottle does it all I guess haha. I'd love to try something from Neutrogena for such a long time - we only have the hand creams over here!

The Avene Thermal Water is an essential for me - it really helped me when I was breaking out from overexfoliation :) I love it, will never be without it! And all your other products are enviable - French skincare is so so hard to find here in the Phils (and if we have them, they are EXPENSIVO!).
ReplyDeleteGreat haul! I really want to try La Roche-Posay Physiological Micellar Water, the Cleansing Gel sounds fab xx
ReplyDeleteI really want to try more face masks, I picked up one by St. Ives it says its a firming mask but at the age of 19 I don't think my skin is in need of any firming. c;

I haven't tried any of these, but now I'm dying for those face masks! Don't know why as I'm usually not a big face mask person, but those individual packets seem like such a better idea than a huge jar! I also love LUSH products even though I've never tried that particular scrub! Just bought a couple items today and I can't wait to try them out! Fantastic haul! x
