Hello my beautiful ladies and Happy Saturday! Definitely let me know if you have any special plans for the weekend, I personally still don’t know what am I going to do but I hope that something exciting will pop out. I definitely could use a nice fun distraction right now. :) For today though I wanted to do a quick little post about an eye product that I’ve been absolutely loving recently and it is the oh-so-famous MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study.

So the sunshine has finally decided to make us happy with its constant presence recently and the hot humid days have officially kicked in where I live. Having that in mind, I needed to dig into my makeup collection and find some products suited for this dreadfully hot weather. I don’t know about you but when it’s warmer outside I don’t really tend to wear much makeup, so the only eye shadow I could feasibly put on my eyelids when I’m all hot could be this Paint Pot in Bare Study from MAC. <3

If you are into makeup as much as I am, then without a doubt you have heard about this little guy many many times before. It is one of the most famous MAC products and there is a solid reason for this. It is incredible! Bare Study is this gorgeous light champagne-y color, which has really finely milled shimmer in it and has nice pearly / frosty finish, which I love. It is a nice cream eye shadow, which can be used on its own or as a base / primer underneath your eye shadows. For the summer I tend to use Bare Study with nothing on top because it feels much lighter and it is hustle-free, which is a must in the hot days. I love how the light catches its beautiful sparkly particles, which makes your eyes pop and you look as if you had some good 10 hours beauty sleep! :) My most recent go-to summer look has consisted of a little bit of Bare Study placed all over the lid, some mascara, blush and a hot, bright lipstick! Pretty easy and effortless. <3

What I adore about the MAC Paint Pots is that they are super creamy and very easy to apply. I usually use my finger and just swipe across some product on my entire lid and then blend out the edges and I am good to go. These brilliant cream shadows have never creased on me and they stay on seriously all day long! If you decide to wear Bare Study as a primer though then you’ll love how much brighter and more vibrant it makes your eye shadows stay on top. It definitely makes the colors more intense and deep, which I really like when I am going for a more dramatic look. Also, Bare Study is quite pigmented and definitely could be build up a lot.

If you have never tried any of the MAC Paint Pots I highly recommend you go and dip your finger in one and swatch it because they are seriously amazing! Bare Study is not only a fab shade, which you can wear on its own to get a nice healthy sheen to your eye makeup bit you can use it as a base so that your eye shadows look more vibrant. This little gem has never creased on my lids and it stays on all day, even on the hottest summer days. Definitely a winner! <3

Have you tried Bare Study? Which is your favorite MAC Paint Pot? :)

Lots of love,

  12. This is a perfect one-and-done color! I still have to use primer underneath because it does crease on my oilier lids after about 6 hrs, but I *always* have to wear primer so it's no biggie. This is such a great shade and just makes you look well rested. Happy Saturday, chica! :)

    1. Yes, I really like them even though I find them a bit more drying then the Paint Pots. I have a few but I still haven't gotten the champagne-y one; it is next on my wish list though :) I adore On and on Bronze, it's gorgeous! <3 xxx

  22. I do like the Mac paintpots but I have it in 'Chilled on Ice' and it seems alot more glittery than this one so its harder to wear. Is this as glittery as the 'chilled on ice?'.

    1. Ooh I haven't tried Chilled on Ice before but from the swatches I just saw it definitely looks more glittery than this. Bare Study has a very subtle and finely miles shimmer, which actually looks quite natural and it's very wearable in my opinion :) xx

  32. I've actually never owned nor tried a paintpot from MAC. I have a couple of Benefit ones and since the Maybelline ones have such good reviews I think if I expand my cream base collection i'm likely to go for Maybelline. Beautiful shade range though!xx

  33. i've been wanting this forever! need to get it asap!

  34. This looks super cool! Do you mind me asking if you have oily or normal eyelids? Mine are quite oily and I'd love to wear this on its own without a base or anything but I'm always rather carefully with such measures due to massive creasing.
