Howdy! I am sure that by now you’ve all heard
about the new Bourjois Cream Blushes (£7.99). These beauties were released a couple of
months ago as Bourjois have decided to re-invent they infamous ‘Little Round
Pot’ as part of their 150 anniversary. Since the day these came out I
desperately wanted to have some of these in my collection. I love Bourjois and
I love cream blushes so they were a must-try. When I finally managed to get my
mitts on 01 Nude Velvet I was super
excited to try it and I am happy to announce that it didn’t disappoint and I am
in love with it.
The first thing I
noticed when the blush arrived was the packaging. It is much slimmer and
sleeker than the typical rounded pots that Bourjois’ powder blushes come in. The
pot has a clasp opening and a mirror inside, which can come in handy when you
are on the go, even though I have to point out that the mirror is tiny. I like
that each shade comes in differently colored pot, which represents the actual
blush shade. I always love products like this because it’s so much easier to spot
the product I’m looking for when I’m in a hurry. The only downside to the
packaging is that the label has started to rub off (as you can see on the picture
above), which slightly annoys me but oh well…
The Bourjois Cream Blushes come in four
beautiful shades and the one I got was 01
Nude Velvet. I chose this one as I have enough pinks and I loved the looks
of this light peachy shade. It is a gorgeous fit for all us pale ladies out
there so definitely go swatch it if you’re a fellow fair skinned gal. As much
as I love this shade, I must say that I don’t think it would suit people with
darker skin. I feel like it won’t show up on you as the blush is actually quite
light. Fear not though – I’m sure you’ll be able to find your match among the
rest of the colors. I adore Nude Velvet because it compliments my skin tone
beautifully and brightens up my complexion. It adds a lovely flush of color and
I love how natural it looks on. It’s perfect to wear with a smokey eye and a
nude lip. <3
The formula of this blush is brilliant as
well! It has a lovely velvet-y texture and a cream-to-powder finish. This is
perfect for those of you who don’t particularly like the whole ‘dewy cheeks’
look that most cream blushes offer. However, the blush is not in the slightest
cakey or flakey! The blush is nicely pigmented and could be build up or down. These
cream blushes are very long-lasting, which honestly I didn’t expect. Nude Velvet stays on me for some good
7-8 hours, which for me is a lot! This
blush applies easily and I usually just pick some of the product up with my
fingertips and just dab it on the apples of my cheeks. Simples. If I have more time and I feel more fancy I usually opt
for my trusty Stippling brush from Real Techniques or even their contour brush.
They both give this airbrushed finish I love without disturbing the base
underneath.
Overall, I think it’s safe to say that this
little pot has become a staple in my makeup collection. It not only has a
beautiful and wearable peachy color, which adds a nice glow to my skin but it
also has an outstanding formula! If you still haven’t tried this range what on
Earth are you waiting for? For the price, I can assure you – you don’t have
anything to loose and I’m sure you’ll become a fan! As for me, I will certainly
go and get me the rest of the shades as they all seem gorgeous and I just can’t
say no to a brilliant cream blush! :)

I never tried these because they're cream to powder and I feel like the whole point of cream products is that they are cream so they look dewy! But I have heard they are good.

This looks gorgeous! I have a Bourjois UNE cream blush from their natural cosmetics range - by the sounds of it the texture and pigmentation is really similar!

I keep seeing reviews of these blushes popping up and they look so beautiful! I'll have to see if any of the SDM's around me carry Bourjois. :)
