Monthly Favorites / August

Good morning cupcakes! How are you? I had a lovely weekend here on the seaside with my boyfriend; we went for a drive around the coast and it was amazing and so beautiful. Sadly though, we will be going home in two days but still, we had an incredible holiday and I finally managed to have proper sleep! :) With the end of my holiday though here came the end of August too. Being a beauty blogger this means only one thing – time for my Monthly Favorites! I managed to narrow them down to five, as I haven’t been using too many products but let me tell you something – the once I did use are definitely amazing and totally worth checking out! <3

Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Awakening Blush

I recently did a full on review of this product so I won’t be getting into too much details but I think it’s safe to say that Dior Rosy Glow has become my all time favorite blush. If you are not familiar with its concept – it is basically a blush that adapts to your skin and enhances the natural color of your cheeks. It matches anyone beautifully so don’t be sacred of the bright pink shade in the pan. What I also love about this gem is that it actually makes me look really healthy and fresh. It brightens up my complexion and gives me a gorgeous glow! <3 I seriously cannot recommend checking this out enough, so if you’re willing to pay a bit more on a blush, definitely start with this one.

Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop

Revlon seems to do great since their Lip Butters have been showing up in a Favorites post for a second month in a roll. Last time it was Tutti Frutti and for the month of August it is Lollipop. Ever since I got my hands on this beautiful lip product, I knew it’s going to become an addiction. Lollipop is this stunning cool-toned bright fuchsia pink shade, which has fine fuchsia and silver simmer running through it. It compliments my skin tone so well and makes my teeth look whiter. Being a Revlon Lip Butter, you’ll expect it to be very hydrating, creamy and opaque, I am right? Well you are absolutely correct and Lollipop doesn’t disappoint in this department – it has a fab formula. It’s an overall winner so go swatch it if you’re into shades like this! :)

TooFaced Eyeshadow in Magic Mushroom

You may know that TooFaced is on of my favorite makeup brands and their eye shadows are not an exception. They reformulated them a while ago and they are incredible quality. They are really buttery and creamy and so easy to work with. They are also very pigmented and stay on all day without any fallout. Magic Mushroom is my favorite shade of the bunch and I’ve been wearing it loads this past month. It is a very unique shade because in the pan the shadow looks pink with very little golden shimmer in it but once you apply it the color transforms into this gorgeous rose gold shade, which brightens up the look really beautifully. I’ve been wearing Magic Mushroom all over the lid, without any other eye shadow on and it looks fab. It makes my green eyes pop and opens up the look amazingly.

Benefit It’s Potent Eye Cream

Keeping with the eye area theme, I decided to finally introduce you to my newest favorite eye cream by Benefit – It’s Potent. I’ve had this for a while but it was just in August when I decided to start using it. Why do I always postpone trying out the best products *sigh*?! This eye cream is one of the best ones I’ve ever tried! I know that many would disagree but I personally really like it. It is supposed to fade dark circles but luckily I don’t have that many so I can’t comment on that. However, I feel like it does brighten up my under eye area a bit. Also, the cream is really hydrating and it moisturizes my skin extremely well, which honestly is exactly what I look for in an eye cream. It is really lightweight, absorbs quickly and looks great with concealer on top. Plus, you get a huge size so it will last ages! :)

Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment

Since I’ve been away for quite a few days in August, I had to betray my full size Moroccan Oil and to start using up my travel size bottle of Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment. I actually really, really liked it and it was a fresh change. I definitely notice a massive difference when using this little babe. It tames down the frizz (we all know how vital this is when being on a summer holiday), it doesn’t leave a greasy residue in my hair, and it adds shine and helps with split ends. It makes my hair soft and smooth and it’s much more manageable and healthy-looking. If this appeals to you then definitely give it a go because it’s a miracle worker in a bottle! <3

Overall, I could honestly say that it’s been a great month beauty wise and I am absolutely LOVING all of these products and I can’t recommend them enough. Now let’s just jump right into the new month and hope that it will bring us loads of reasons to smile! Have a fantastic day everyone!

Lots of love,
