Hello my lovelies, I hope you are all well! <3 I’ve been feeling quite poorly recently (hence the lack of posts those couple of days) but I am finally starting to feel myself again. I am so excited for the beginning of October as it is one of my favorite months of the year and in my head it kind of kicks off the festive season. To make me feel all cozy and nice after I finish writing this post I will go make me some apple pie with loads of cinnamon. Yum! Anyway, as the fall is officially upon us, I’ve decided to introduce you to my favorite blush at the moment, which is absolutely perfect for the A/W season and it is the Sleek Rose Gold blush.
This is my second time getting this little beaut as I gave my first one to one of my friends and she absolutely adores it. I couldn’t stay without it for a long time though so I managed to get me a new one and oh my… Recently I just fell in love with it all over again and it is safe to say that it has become a firm staple in my autumn makeup bag. :) Rose Gold is this gorgeous warm peachy pink shade, which has beautiful finely milled golden shimmer running through it. A lot of people say that the blush is actually a dupe for the oh-so-famous NARS Orgasm and I can totally see why. The NARS one is a bit more pinkish but they are pretty identical once blended on the skin. Rose Gold gives such a lovely sun-kissed glow to my cheeks and thankfully it looks natural enough. I am not going to lie though – the shimmer in the blush is noticeable but not to the extend that it would make you look like a walking disco ball. If you don’t feel comfortable wearing shimmery blushes, then I am afraid that Rose Gold wouldn’t be a great option for you. What I love about it though is that the little particles catch the light beautifully and make me look really healthy and awake.
If you’ve tried any of the Sleek blushes before then you know that their quality is absolutely amazing! Rose Gold is definitely not an exception and I think it beats the quality of some of my high-end blushes. For starters, it is crazy pigmented. I need just to lightly dab my Real Techniques Blush Brush into the product and I am sorted. With this blush I’ve noticed that a little goes a long way and if I am not happy with the result I can always build it up. Rose Gold also applies like charm; it glides on so effortlessly onto my cheeks and never looks cakey or flaky, plus it is really easy to blend. As for the staying power of the blush, it stays on me for about six hours without fading. Brilliant. If I need to reapply throughout the day though, I can always throw Rose Gold into my purse and head out the door. The packaging of this blush is so lovely and well… sleek. It is relatively thin and not bulky, plus has a nice mirror at the back of the lid, which is great for tough-ups when you’re on the go.
In a nutshell, I will have to tell you that if you still don’t own this gem – you NEED to go get it or at least swatch it. It is such a beautiful shade, which not only gives a nice highlighting effect to the cheeks but also adds warmth to your complexion. If that is not enough, the blush is an outstanding quality and the pigmentation will blow your mind haha! <3 Moreover, for the price of £4.49 (Superdrug for those of you in the UK) you don’t have much to loose, do you? :)
