Hello cupcakes! So the time has come – the
winter is right around the corner and it’s time for us to start taking better
care of our hair. As it is being exposed to numerous harsh weather conditions,
we need to step up our hair care game and try to maintain our beautiful,
luscious locks. Here are the products I swear by and which prevent my hair from
getting dry and brittle during the colder months. :)
Shampoo and Mask
Obviously, our hair care routine should
start under the shower. The combination of great shampoo and conditioner, or a mask
in my case, is absolutely essential for my hair. I love it to be as nourished
and conditioned as possible, as well as be very well cleansed and I’m happy to
announce that my trusty Macadamia products are doing the job perfectly. My
favorite hair duo consists of MacadamiaNatural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo (review here) and Macadamia NaturalOil Deep Repair Mask (full review here).
The shampoo completely restores my hair, making it very well hydrated and
shiny. It gets rid of all the dirt and product build up and I am left with
lovely silky, voluminous locks. As the shampoo is specially made to bring back
moisture into the hair and to protect it from the harsh
environmental conditions, I think it is perfect for the colder days when my
hair gets ridiculously dry and lifeless. :) Next, we have the Deep Repair Mask,
which I am sure you’ve all heard about before. This cult beauty product
definitely stands for its name and does absolutely wonders to my hair. It is
the one product I always have at home
and if I can urge to go buy one thing – this would be it! The mask is enriched
with Macadamia and Argan oils, which are known for their miraculous properties
for the hair. The product brings life back to the hair and nourishes it deeply.
It makes my locks look so healthy and my ends less frazzled. Also, when I use
this mask my hair is SO soft and silky, it doesn’t tangle as much and the
annoying frizz is long gone. Absolutely winner and if you have dry, damaged
hair like myself this would totally save your life. <3
Hair Oils
Three words – absolute must have! I can
ramble on and on for the incredible things that hair oils can do to your hair
but then this post would be endless! Let’s just say that they are essential if
you want to improve the overall condition of your hair and take great care of
it. Since I’ve started using hair oils (about two years now), my hair has
become so much healthier, shinier and generally better. It is now less brittle,
it’s silky, the tangles are a lot more manageable and what’s more – my hair has
grown SO much that it’s not ever real! The two products I have to thank for that
are Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment (review
here) and Morrocaloil Treatment. They are pretty identical in the way they
work for me and they are incredible. The only difference I’ve noticed is the
scent (love them both btw) and maybe
the fact that Morrocanoil is a little bit better as far as detangling goes. Apart
from that, they both deeply nourish and rejuvenate the hair and inject moisture
into it. They make it silky soft, prevent it from getting all tangle-y and tame
it down while getting rid of the frizz (which is vital for my hair during the
rainy months). I absolutely love that the oils make my ends look so well
maintained and not at all frazzled or brittle. If this is not enough to
convince you that you need to invest in
good hair oil, let me tell you that it helps the hair dry a little bit faster
as well! Brilliant! Oh, forgot to
mention that neither of these two oils weight the hair down, so if you struggle
with the volume of your locks – fear not! :)
Additional Care
Two additional steps I always try to
incorporate into my hair care regime, especially during the chilly days are using
leave-in conditioner and heat protectant. I know, I know – it is
essential to protect the hair from the heat and I always preach that, but
sometimes I just forget… When fall and winter roll in though, I get extra
cautious with this step, as I don’t want any more moisture to leave my hair. It
sounds ridiculous but I even made a sticky note reminder, which I put in the
mirror of my vanity, so every time I’d use heat, I would remember protect my
hair beforehand haha. Now that I am back on track, the protectant I’m using and
loving, is L’Oreal Elnette Heat StylingSpray for volume. I have heard loads of great things about this and I am
happy to tell you - it’s all rue! This gem protects my locks brilliantly,
without feeling heavy or weighing down the hair. It also adds some volume so
it’s a win-win situation! <3 Surprise surprise, next we have yet another Macadamia product and this time it is
their Nourishing Leave-In Cream.
This lovely product is enriched with special oils that tame down the hair and add
beautiful softness and shine to it. I love using the cream before I start brushing
through my wet hair and it makes the biggest difference. Also, the cream is
prefect for the colder months because it adds a lot of moisture to the hair,
which is fab for my dry locks.
So there you have it lovelies, my favorite
little saviors that help me battle the harsh weather conditions and help me
keep my hair look healthy and beautiful. I hope you enjoyed this post and I
really recommend all of these products as I’ve found massive difference when
using them! They are all amazing and definitely worth checking out! <3

ReplyDeleteOne question: how many times a week do you wash your hair? I think that more than 2-3 times is counter-productive, don't you?
