Hello pretties and Happy November! I don’t know about you but I’ve been on a hunt for the perfect highlighter / illuminating powder for absolute ages. This is the one makeup item that I always struggle finding the perfect match for me. They are all either too glittery or just don’t suit my skin tone at all… When I was in London recently, I decided I would take some more time swathing and testing different highlighters in the hopes of finding one that I can actually use on a daily basis. I wanted something very subtle, which would just add light to my face without making me look too shiny. I was almost about to give up on my search when I saw the Soap & Glory Glow All Out Luminizing Face Powder (£11) in Boots. This little gem is everything I was looking for, and more! I am absolutely smitten by this products and I am glad to announce that I finally found my Holy Grail radiance powder! <3
First off, I have to talk about the packaging! Soap & Glory never fail to make a statement with their designs, do they? Once again, I love the packaging! It has a nice vintage-y feel to it, it’s fun and quirky and I adore the colors. I love the gorgeous white cardboard packaging and even though at first I was concerned it would break or loose its shape, luckily it’s proven itself to be quite sturdy. The packaging has a magnetic clasp opening and a mirror inside, which always comes in handy. The beautiful Soap & Glory logo is emblazoned across the powder, which is a nice touch.
In the pan Glow All Out is a stunning peachy pink shade, which I’d say is pretty neutral. As you can see from the swatch though, the product adds a very slight tinge of color and the color payoff is not very intense. The powder just glows on the skin, which makes it perfect for all skin types. What I adore the most about Glow All Out is that the powder is really finely milled and it is almost impossible to detect any shimmer or glitter particles, which makes the look super pretty and natural. Glow All Out is great to use both during the day and at night. It adds gorgeous healthy sheen without making you look overdone or like a disco ball. I love that it lights up my face and enhances my natural features. According to Soap & Glory you can use the powder to lift up your cheekbones or dust it all over your face for a ‘moonlit’ look. My favorite way to use it is as a highlighter on top of the highest points of my face like my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and underneath my brow bone. Sometimes, when my skin is a bit dull and lifeless, I like to pop Glow All Out over my blush and up my cheekbones to make my face glowing and fresh. Obviously, you can use the powder all over your face to add radiant luminosity to your complexion. I did that once to see how it would look and it was okay initially but after a while it felt a bit overdone and almost too glow-y for my liking. The product definitely makes the skin dewy and adds lights to it without making you look greasy, so if you’re after that kind of finish this might be perfect for you.
I know many people would think Glow All Out is a highlighter bit it is actually branded as a luminizing face powder because of its amazing formula. It is so unique as the product is really fine and not glittery at all. Glow All Out is featuring LIGHTSCRAMBLE™ (whatever this means?) ‘lumisphere pigment pearls, an ultra-fine creamy powder finish and extended wear silicone technology’. Apparently, thanks to the silicone in the product it is supposed to wear really well. And I agree – it stays on my face throughout the whole day without fading, which is impressive. Also, Glow All Out has an amazing silky texture and it applies like charm. A little goes a long day and the product blends so effortlessly into the skin. It doesn’t cake or flake and doesn’t accentuate pores or imperfections, which I love.
What can I say in conclusion – I am head over heels for Glow All Out and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a product that will add light to your face without making you look like a glitterball. Sounds like a miracle worker? Yes it does, and the best part is that it actually is that good! Once again, I am very impressed with the Soap & Glory cosmetic range and I will be definitely trying the powders they offer.
Have you tried Glow All Out before? Do you love it as much as I do? Which is your favorite Soap & Glory face powder?
