NOTD: Easter Edition

easter nail art pastel nail polish

Hello loves and Happy Easter to those of you celebrating! I, unfortunately, am not since in my country Easter is in May. I am, however, really excited because Easter is one of my favorite holidays! :) With that being said, I decided to do a little Easter inspired ‘nail art’, which I will be sure to wear when the holiday comes where I live! If you celebrate today and you are still not sure what kind of mani to rock, I hope that this mine can give you some ideas! ((:

When I think ‘Easter’, pretty pastel colors pop out in my head, so I knew that I want to go for a cute mixture of my favorite pastel nail polishes! I am terrible at nail art, so I went for something easy to make, yet cute-looking. You will only need a dotting tool and three (I used three, but you can only use two if you don’t want the manicure to be as colorful) pretty nail polishes! <3

I started by applying Sally Hansen’s nail polish in the color 416 Green Tea on all my nails. You can of course use a base coat, but with Sally Hansen’s nail polishes I really don’t feel the need to. Green Tea is a really pretty light minty green color, which has a beautiful cream finish. I did a full review on it, so you can see it here, but it’s one of my all time favorite mint nail polishes!

After the base color was completely dry I got some of my Essie nail polish in the shade FrenchAffair and put some drops of it on a white sheet of paper. Then, using my dotting tool, I just created different size of polka dots on my ring and middle fingers and let them dry. :) I chose French Affair cuz I think that the two colors compliment each other beautifully! <3

Then I did exactly the same thing for my thumbnail, but this time I was using Models Own nail polish in Lemon Meringue. It’s a lovely milky yellow color and I love it so much for spring and summer! Plus, I love the contrast between the mint and the yellow; it’s really pretty and fresh! When I let Lemon Meringue dry – Voila! My manicure was done and to be honest I quite like how it turned out! It’s something fresh and different and I hope you all enjoy it as well! :))

Let me know in the comments what you think and it the meantime Happy Easter and I hope that you are having a great day! <33

Easter Inspired: EOS Lip Balms Review

eos lip balms

Hello loves! Since Easter is right around the corner for some of you, I decided that I want to do a special “Easter Inspired” type post. I was wondering what exactly should it be on and then BAAM, it hit me – EOS Lip Butters! They are not only super delicious (Easter sweets anyone? YUM) but they also look just like mini Easter Eggs, so what better time to talk about them then now?! :))

EOS Lip Balms is Strawberry Sorbet, Summer Fruit, Sweet Mint and Honeysuckle Honeydew
A couple of months back I was obsessed with the idea of getting one of the EOS Smooth Sphere Lip Balms, but since they are only sold in stores in the US and Canada I had to order them online from Amazon. I wasn’t really keen on the idea to pay +$5 for shipping but I wanted to try them so badly, so I eventually caved and it was totally worth it. I got the Strawberry Sorbet one and the second I opened it I smelled the yummiest scent in the word – non-artificial ‘strawberries with whipped cream’ kind of scent! I was pretty much sold based just on that haha! But then I applied it and I have to say I was a bit disappointed – it was feeling a bit stiff and not moisturizing at all! BUT then the balm started to melt on my lips and it transformed into a nice smooth, hydration lip balm! I LOVED IT! <3

I’ve been obsessed with the Strawberry Sorbet (the pink one) one, but I really wanted to try some new flavors. I ordered Summer Fruit (the red), Sweet Mint (the blue) and Honeysuckle Honeydew (the green).  As I said Strawberry Sorbet has a lovely strawberry scent (and flavor) to it, which is really sweet and yummy and I think it’s my favorite out of all four I have. Summer Fruit has a strong, distinct fruity scent which is really nice and it’s not at all overpowering. Sweet Mint, as its name suggests, has a lovely minty flavor and because of the mint it also feels a bit tingly on the lips, which I absolutely love! Honeysuckle is the perfect flavor if you are someone who likes settle honey scents! :))

In case you didn’t know ‘EOS’ stand for ‘Evolution of Smooth’ and the mission of the brand is to produce high quality of moisturizing and nourishing products. This is definitely the case with the EOS Lip Balms – they hydrate and nourish the lips nicely and also make them so soft and smooth! Some of their key ingredients consist of – jojoba oil (gives long-lasting hydration), Shea butter (moisturizes and softens) and Vitamin E (antioxidant protection, soothes and heals). What I also love about the EOS Lip Balms is that they are 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free!! Just great! :)

Since the EOS Lip Balms are quite moisturizing and they make the lips super smooth, they are the perfect lipstick primer in my opinion. I always apply some under my lipstick and I absolutely love the result – it applies much easier and it doesn’t dry out the lips as much! :) I forgot to mention that the lip balms are completely sheer and have semi-matte finish!

In a nutshell, I highly recommend checking these cute little spheres out if you are looking for a new delicious, yet moisturizing lip balm! The only problem I find with them is their availability but it’s nothing that Amazon.com can’t solve! :))

Please let me know if you’ve tried the EOS lip balms and if yes, what do you think about them?! Have a lovely Easter holiday to those of you who are celebrating and I will talk to you really soon! <33

I’ve Fallen In Love with Tangle Teezer: Review

The Original Tangle Teezer hair brush in bubblegum pink
The Original Tangle Teezer in Bubblebum Pink :)
Hello lovelies! I have an announcement to make: I have fallen in love! With a brush! But not in any brush, but in the oh-so-famous Tangle Teezer! I kid you not – this is the BEST hair brush that I’ve ever used on my hair and I am completely obsessed with it!

Before I actually start talking about the actual Tangle Teezer I want to rant a little bit about the terrible Customer Service of a website called BeautyBay.com! After reading hundreds reviews on the Tangle Teezer hair brush, I decided that I need one of these in my life. So I ordered one from the BeautyBay site 0n 28th of December.  Long story short, it took them TWO months! and substantial amount of e-mails from me to deliver the brush! They didn’t apologize once for the delay and they were extremely rude and unsupportive during the whole time! I would never order from their ridiculous website again and I would stick to using Feelunique.com!

The Original Tangle Teezer hair brush

Now onto the brush! As I said I love it! Tangle Teezer (I got the Original) is the most unique hair brush that I’ve used. I have relatively long hair and even though it’s fine I have a LOT of it! Which is nice, but it gets extremely tangly! Additionally, I’ve been dying my hair for years and recently I highlighted it, which only made the problem bigger. Now my hair is twice as tangled and matted and my hair needed some extra help. The Tangle Teezer, as its name suggests, is a detangling hairbrush designed specifically to use on “wet, vulnerable and color treated hair with no pulling, tugging or yanking”. It has two lengths of semi-rigid plastic teeth, which allows the Tangle Teezer to detangle any smaller or bigger knots. It’s super gentle and it really detangles the hair quickly and without any pulling or pain! The best thing for me is that it doesn’t break the hair whatsoever and leaves it look super smooth and voluminous (and not frizzy)!

The Tangle Teezer works really well on wet hair too. It slips through my hair so easily and removes any tangles I may have! I love to use it under the shower to dispense the conditioner or to leather my shampoo as well!

One thing that bothers me is that the Tangle Teezer doesn’t have a handle! Its shape is made to fit right into the palm which is okay, call me old-fashioned but I can’t see anything wrong with the good old handle! (: I feel like it gives much more control over the brushing process and it doesn’t slip through your hand that easily when you’re under the shower! This is definitely not a huge deal for me, though, because I love the results that it actually gives! <3

The Original Tangle Teezer comes in five different colors, but I love pink, so I got the Bubblegum Pink one! It retails for $12.99 / £10.20 which for the miracle worker that the Tangle Teezer is, I feel like is a deal! This hair brush is a complete lifesaver and I highly recommend it to anyone who struggles with tangly hair! ((:

YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in Lingerie Pink (7) Review

Hi beauties! If you’ve been following my blog for a while now then you know about my weakness for the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks. They are the best lippies that I’ve ever tried and I love them to pieces! Today I will be talking about one of my favorite spring shades from the line and it is #7 Lingerie Pink. (:

For starters, I just feel like I have to talk about the packaging. It’s the most beautiful, luxurious and gorgeous packaging that a lipstick can have in my opinion. The golden tube is so pretty and I also love that you can actually see the shade of the lipstick, instead of searching it by name. Well-thought, that’s for sure! <3

Lingerie Pink is a gorgeous frost pastel pink shade, which kind of reminds me of MAC’s Lady Gaga lipstick; only the YSL one is a bit lighter. I love wearing #7 during spring because I am all about the pastels for that season! Also the shade is great for spring and summer because I have more tan and the lipstick compliments my skin tone beautifully! It’s not like I don’t wear Lingerie Pink during fall and winter, I do but I feel like that the color washes me out a bit when I am paler. If you rather dark skin tone, though, I am not sure how this shade would suit you, but I definitely recommend switching it before buying it cuz this particular shade is a bit pretentious hehe!

Being YSL’s Best Sellers Rouge Volupte lipsticks have a lot to offer in the formula department. They are the most creamy, pigmented and moisturizing lipsticks that I have ever tried! I kid you not – the quality is impeccable! They have a light silky texture, which is sooo smooth on the lips! Rouge Volupte have a little bit ‘wetter’ formula, which pretty much guarantees you that you lips won’t dry out and will stay moisturized. And this comes from a person who has incredibly dry lips! :) The pigmentation is insane! I can only dab the lipstick lightly on the lips and they will be perfectly opaque! Lingerie Pink (as of course the other lipsticks from the Rouge Volupte line) has a beautiful glossy finish and you don’t have to wear lip-gloss on top of it! :) The lipstick also has a nice scent to it, but it’s not overwhelming in any way. One problem that many people seem to have with the Rouge Volupte lipsticks, however, is that they are not very long lasting. On me it wears for about 1-2 hours but it doesn’t bother me much tbh.

I feel like Lingerie Pink is a great shade to wear with a more dramatic smoky eye (because it will balance out the look) OR just with a simple, natural everyday makeup! :) Just make sure that you exfoliate your lips before applying the lippy in the morning cuz it tends to accentuate any imperfections. ((:

Even though I am absolutely loving Rouge Volupte lipsticks, I cannot pass that they are rather pricey! They retail for $34 or £24.50. However, I think that they are totally worth it, because, as I said, the quality is incredible!! If #7 Lingerie Pink in not your cup of tea color wise, YSL offer 28 more shades for you to choose from! :))

Have you ever tried any lipsticks from the Rouge Volupte line and if yes which is your favorite shade? I’d love to know cuz my wallet is really tempted to try get some new colors lol! <33
