Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo: Review

Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo

Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo

Hello my lovelies! I don’t know about you but I have been in a really weird mood. I don’t seem to be able to concentrate in anything I do, which really annoys me cuz I am someone who always needs to have control over things and now I don’t! Hopefully this terrible feeling will go away soon and I will be able to fully enjoy the beautiful weather! (: Anyway, today I wanted to talk about one of my favorite products at the moment and it is Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo (3.3 oz. $9 / 33.8 oz. $48). If you fancy improving your hair condition and you are on a hunt for a new shampoo then keep reading! Hope you enjoy! :))

So I have always been really skeptical when it comes to shampoos. I never thought that a shampoo could dramatically improve your hair. This was maybe because I hadn’t found one that actually worked, so I never really bothered investing in a higher end shampoo. Until recently. If you saw my latest beauty haul then you know that I last month I picked up Macadamia’s Luxe Travel Set, which comes with five travel sized products including the Rejuvenating Shampoo. I was really excited to try it out but still the skeptic in me was telling me not to have high hopes. Well I couldn’t be more wrong because I immediately saw / felt the incredible result of this shampoo.

First let’s talk packaging shall we! I absolutely adore Macadamia’s packaging, they are always lovely and this shampoo is not exception! It is this beautiful brown color bottle with flowers all over and with lovely light green cap and lable. Absolutely to die for in my opinion and it’s always a pleasure seeing in in my bathroom! <3 The bottle itself is nice and sturdy and it is actually really easy to pour some shampoo out, unlike the conditioner of this line, which is quite a quest to use! I have the small, travel size (3.3 oz) and I’ve used it about ten times so far and I feel like I have a third of the product left. The scent of this product is amazing too! I can’t for the life of me describe it but it smells like some really expensive oils that they'd use on you in the spa salons! Love it personally so I urge you to go and sniff it, I’m sure you’ll love it too! <3

Now for the actual properties of this shampoo – well as I said I love it and it works miracles to my hair. From the very first use I could feel that I am using a really luxurious product on my hair, which is amazing! It feels so soft and smooth and the incredible scent works as aromatherapy of me haha. Just a little heads up – you will need to take a little time to lather the shampoo but it’s not that bad, I promise. When the shampoo is nicely foamed I like to really massage the product into my scalp so that the whole dirt and build up are gone. When doing this with the Rejuvenating Shampoo my scalp instantly feels clean and fresh, which I was so pleasantly surprised about! Then I just rinse well my hair and I can feel how much smoother and detangled it is! The biggest difference I notice, however, is when I go out of the shower and blow-dry my hair – it not only feels clean but it’s also really hydrated and silky! I also wanted to mention that this shampoo doesn’t weight down my hair (10 points for that) and I feel like it thickens and gave my hair more volume, which is incredible! According to Macadamia, the Rejuvenating Shampoo is great for all hair types and works especially well on dry, damaged hair and it also build protection from harsh daily environmental elements. It is also color-safe (which is definitely true), sulfate-free and paraben-free.

I honestly cannot tell you enough how much I love this shampoo and how much it has changed my hair condition. My hair is now much more alive, voluminous and hydrated, which is so wonderful! I will definitely purchase the huge bottle when this one runs out and I most definitely recommend checking this shampoo out because it is really amazing and works wonders!

Have you tried this shampoo? What products from Macadamia you like?

Lots of love,

Too Faced Full Bloom Lip & Cheek Clem Color in Sweet Pea

Hello lovelies! How is your week going so far? The weather here is finally good and I can’t wait to go for a long walk in the park with my boyfriend and our puppy. Speaking of puppies I am going to take Marnie to the groomer in a little bit and I am a bit scared how he will look after the haircut! Crossing my fingers that he will still look like a yorkie haha! <3 On a different, more beauty note I have to share with you one of my current favorite products – Too Faced Full Bloom Lip & Cheek Crème Color in the shade Sweet Pea ($21). This little multi-purpose gem has been my savior on days when I don’t feel like wearing much makeup and I want just a luminous flush of color! :)

As you may know I am a massive Too Faced fan, I like their powder, their eye shadows, lip glosses, bronzers etc. Their products are always great quality and I am not going to lie their packaging is a huge turning point too haha! I love experimenting and trying out new things from them so when I saw this Cheek and Lip Crème Color I had to get me one. The shade I wanted (Prim & Poppy, which is a beautiful coral-y peach) was sold out so I went for Sweet Pea and loved it instantly on my cheeks. It is a beautiful medium toned berry color, which I feel like it would suit many different skin tones! It doesn’t have any shimmer or glitter in it and has a nice dewy finish. On my lips it shows as a lovely true pink, which kind of reminds me of Rimmel Apocalips in Nova, which I love! <3 Can we also please have a moment for the adorable packaging of this product? It is absolutely gorgeous and beautiful and it makes me really happy to just look at it! It is really slim and lightweight so you can easily carry it around with you! Oh it has a mirror at the back of the lid too, which is a huge bonus because it makes it easier to touch up during the day if you need to! (: Definitely a winner so bravo Too Faced!

The formula of this Cheek & Lip Crème Color is really lovely! I’ve been on a hunt for the perfect cream blush and this definitely won my heart! Its texture is amazing – it is SO creamy, soft and silky and it goes on really smoothly and has a nice satin finish and it doesn’t look or feel greasy at all! It glides on smoothly and blends easily without it boing blotchy, which is a big concern of mine with most cream blushes. It definitely feels lightweight on the skin and gives the most amazing radiant, dewy look. I love to wear this because it always makes me look so fresh and awake. It is pretty long lasting and stays on my face for some good 6 hours.

I am someone who definitely likes to match my lip with my cheek color so I am a sucker for such multi-purpose products. The truth is, however, that they rarely work well for both cheeks and lips. Usually they tend to be great for one of them (*cough* BenefitFine One One *cough *) so I’ve started wondering will I be able to get one that will work fab on both. Needless to say that I did and it is the Too Faced Cheek and Lip Crème Color. When you first apply it on the lips it feel really hydrating and creamy as if your are using a tinted lip balm, which was a pleasant surprise! It has a lovely glossy finish but when the gloss is gone the product leaves a nice tint of color on the lips. After a while though my surer dry lips start to feel a bit dry so I either reapply or put a bit lip balm on to so that they are nicely moisturized. :)

Have you noticed that I haven’t mentioned the pigmentation of this product yet? Well that’s because I don’t exactly know what I think about it. Don’t get me wrong - Sweet Pea IS pigmented! A lot! I never thought I’d say this but I think it’s a bit too pigmented! You only need a teeny tiny amount dabbed on top of your brush to get this product opaque. If you are not careful you risk looking like a clown! It happened to me a couple of times and I had to start my whole makeup from scratch. Not cool! If you, however, take your time with it you will look so beautifully glowing and natural! I like to use my favorite Real Techniques Stippling Brush to apply the blush with but you can use your fingers if you like too. Just make sure you are careful and you should be fine! :)

Too Faced Lip & Cheek Crème Color range comes in three different shades, which are all really beautiful and I can’t wait to get my hand on the other two. They retail for $21 which I find is quite reasonable having in mind that you actually use the product both on your cheeks and lips, plus the quality is fab too! This product has flower extracts in it, as well as avocado and Vitamin A to F which all help for health complexion. What I also love about these little babes is that they are vegan-friendly and paraben free!

In a nutshell, I can honestly say that this is a brilliant product and I highly recommend checking it out! The Crème Color is so smooth and silky and I love how it brightens up my complexion without making it look oily! It is also pretty long lasting and if you apply it with caution you will have the prettiest radiant flush of color! And if you are like me and love to match your cheeks and lips this stuff won’t disappoint and you’ll have fab looking lippies as well as cheeks! Definitely a winner! <3

Have you tried this product before? Which is your favorite cream blush?

Sigma Cleansing and Polishing Tool: Review

Sigma Cleansing and Polishing Tool

Sigma Cleansing and Polishing Tool

Sigma Cleansing and Polishing Tool

Sigma Cleansing and Polishing Tool

Hello my darlings! How have you been? I am really happy at the moment and wanted to take a second to thank you all for the amazing support that you’ve giving me for the past months! I hit 1400+ followers on GFC and 1000+ on Bloglovin and you seriously have no idea how thankful and happy I am! Thank you so much for following and commenting on my blog, this really means the world to me!! <3 Now for the actual post today I wanted to share one of my Holy Grail skincare tools, whish has made my skin SO much better. As you probably guessed it right from the title I am talking about Sigma’s Cleansingand Polish Tool ($43). This little pink baby is such a skin saver and definitely worth reviewing. Hope you’ll enjoy! (:

About a year and a half ago I was considering getting the oh-so-famous Clarisonic Mia ($119 – $235). I had nearly placed my order when suddenly I decided that I actually don’t need it at the moment and canceled the order (silly me, I know). Then a couple months later I started looking for reviews online and saw that many people actually say that Sigma’s tool is like a twin sister of the Clarisonic and that they actually work the same. I was really intrigued and immediately ordered me one. It seemed like a fab product and not to mention that the price difference is huge!

The Sigma Cleansing and Polishing Tool came in a really gorgeous pink box (gotta love Sigma’s packaging!) and when you open it up there is a really pretty plastic box with a pink transparent lid. Inside the box there are the actual device and three brush head attachments. Oh, there was also a leaflet with instructions but sadly I lost it somewhere. :( I absolutely ADORE the look of the plastic box, it is so pretty and it looks so lovely on top of my skincare cabinet! <3 The actual device is white with some pink (you can’t choose deferent color, pink is the only option) elements and it fits right into the palm. It is quite lightweight so don’t worry – it won’t exhaust your hand. :) The device is battery operated so you’ll need to get two AA batteries because they are not included in the kit. The Cleansing Tool has two speeds, which I love and it is also water resistant, not waterproof so don’t use it under running water! As I said The Polishing Tool comes with three head attachments and they actually rotate as you use the tool. According to Sigma they are:

1.Soft – Recommended for daily facial cleansing and polishing
2. Medium – Prefect for daily, all over, body exfoliation
3. Firm – Recommended for deeper body exfoliation or dry areas such as the elbows, knees and heels.

So the first time I used the tool I didn’t read that you are supposed to use the tool for maximum a minute on the face. I used it for about 2 minutes because it felt really lovely on the skin and I was stupidly thinking that the more you rub it the best and I couldn’t be more wrong! After I finished my skin was hurting so badly and it was super red. I panicked and immediately read the leaflet and noticed that I should’ve stuck to the 1-minute rule. Anyway, I let my skin recover for about a week and gave the device another shot. This time I used it for under a minute and the result was remarkable! My skin was feeling so soft and smooth as it has never been! So far so good BUT as I was using is for about 5 days my skin started to breakout a lot, which is not something that I’m used to. I remembered that quite a few people had similar problem using Clarisonic or the Sigma Tool. I read online again and turner out that this is a common reaction of the skin and if I continue using the tool it will soon clear out. And it did! In two weeks time my skin was absolutely flawless, so soft and smooth! The question whether I should continue using this or not was a hard one but I am really happy that I didn’t stop because the Cleansing and Polishing Tool is now an absolute essential in my skincare routine!

The thing I love most about this miracle worker is that really cleanses my skin deeply and it unclogs my pores. I find it really difficult to achieve such results with just a regular face wash and a scrub. This stuff really exfoliates and removes the gunk like nothing else. It has also helped me massively (with the help of LushAqua Marina cleanser) with acne scaring and hyperpigmentation! After I use this, my skin is so unbelievably smooth and soft and I want to stroke it all day haha! I also find that it helps with the application of makeup as well just cuz the face is so even and smooth and the makeup goes on really easily! As for the body – I LOVE it too. Again, it removes the dead skin brilliantly and my skin is SO smooth and lovely! <33 Oh, forgot to mention that the brushes clean really easily too, which is definitely a plus! They eventually wear off a bit and need replacement but Sigma offers replacement brushes ($10 each) so don’t worry!

The thing with this Cleansing and Polishing Tool is that everyone needs to adjust and customize their own routine with it. Even though Sigma gives some basic guidelines every skin is different and requires different approaches. It took me a while to figure out what mine is but eventually I did and I am really pleased with the results. I like to use this at night after I removed my makeup, which is actually recommended by Sigma. I use my Bioderma and then I go under the shower. I put a little of my favorite Purity Cleansing Balm by REN on top of the soft brush head and on the first speed I start to gently massage it onto my skin. Then for a couple of seconds I turn the device on second speed and run it only through my T-zone. I then just rinse my face and the brush and follow up with toner and moisturizer. Once every two weeks I’d use the medium brush all over my face as kind of “deeper exfoliation” but if you have sensitive skin I don’t recommend doing this because the brush could be too harsh on you! For my body, I love using the tool every day or every other day with the medium brush and on second speed. I use my Soap & Glory Clean on Me Shower Gel and my skin feels soft like a baby bum hah! Also, once a week I use the firm head on the driest / firmest areas of my body like my elbows, my knees and heels and I really love how the dead skin is removed and the skin is super soft! I sometime use the firm one on my entire legs as well and I like how it not only makes my skin silky but it also improves my blood circulation! <3

Now like most products there are things I am not too fond about this Sigma Cleansing and Polishing Tool. The first thing is that it obviously broke me out really badly at the beginning but since my skin is good now I am willing to forgive this haha! Another thing I hate about this is that it is quite messy to use. When you turn it on it starts to spill foam all over the bathroom so I need to use it under the shower (away from the water, don’t worry)! Since I use it only in the shower the fact that it’s not waterproof makes me really scared and annoyed that it may broke!! It would’ve been also really nice if the tool had 1 minute timer so you don’t get carried away and use it for over a minute but oh well…

Overall, I really really LOVE this Sigma Cleansing and Polishing tool. Sure it has some flaws but for $43 I can’t really complaint. I absolutely adore how my skin looks and feels like when I use this and the fact that it’s so well cleansed makes me really happy to recommend it to you all! If you are looking for a good, cheaper version of the Clarisonic this device should be a great alternative. I haven’t used the Clarisonic yet but I am really curious to give it a try and compare them both! :) Until then, I am super pleased with the Sigma tool and I love the condition of my skin! <3 I really hope you enjoyed this review! Have a great week ahead loves! :))

Have you tried the Sigma Cleansing and Polishing Tool? What do you think of it? Do you own the Clarisonic and what are the differenced between the two? (:

Lots of love,
Andrea
