Pastel colors, colorful nails and bold, bright lips! Yes, March is right around the corner, which in my beauty-obsessed mind means spring trends and bye bye to the dark, deep shades! Let’s not get ahead of ourselves though – February is still here and I decided to make the most out of it by rocking my beloved vampy shades for the last time until fall. I think I also found my Holy Grail face cleanser, as well as dug out some new bits to help me achieve flawless base. It has been a good beauty month and if you want to hear all about my February most-loved, read on!
Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm
Note to self: ‘If you’ve read tons of positive reviews on a certain product, chances are – it is going to be as amazing as everyone says it is, so go get your mitts on it asap!’ Yes, if I’d known this earlier my skin would’ve been much happier then it was last year but who cares – the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm is finally mine and I love every last bit of it! Being an inseparable part of my Bedtime Routine, this cleanser completely transformed my skin over the past two months. It removes makeup like there is no tomorrow, leaving the skin feel incredible – soft, smooth and moisturized. The balm balances out my skin wonderfully and also minimizes the appearance of pores. Just scoop small amount out, add some warm water, rub it well between your palms and apply it all over your face and neck. Massage it in for a few minutes and remove with water or hot cloth for some extra exfoliation. Your skin will look so bright and even and the amazing Moringa vapors will add to the incredible spa-like experience! Brilliant stuff!
Chanel Les Beiges Face Powder
Meet the crème de la crème of all face powders – Chanel Les Beiges. It was love of first sight and when my boyfriend surprised me with this beauty for Christmas (and got the right shade *impressive*) I may have squealed a bit. I cannot talk about Les Beiges without mentioning the packaging – it is beautiful, classy and elegant – the perfect makeup bag accessory. Speaking Chanel, needless to say that the formula is spot on. The powder offers sheer coverage but adds beautiful healthy glow to the skin and doesn’t look cakey. I adore how radiant and luminous my complexion is after using this and the best part is that Les Beiges actually keeps the oils at bay as well. The powder has SPF 15 and the scent is to die for, which makes it that much more special.
Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer
When it comes to concealers, Benefit own my heart (read my full post here) but I love this MUFE one when my skin is a little bit dryer or if there is a super red and pesky spot that needs to be erased. Full Cover has such lovely lightweight formula and the full coverage it provides really does get rid of every last trace of spots or hyperpigmentation. This baby doesn’t look cakey and doesn’t budge throughout the day. The concealer is on the thicker side but blends effortlessly and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. You only need the tiniest amount and all your skin concerns will disappear as if they have never been there in the first place. Simples.
Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon in Plum Russian
Ohh Plum Russian (review and swatches here), you have no idea how much I’m gonna miss you during the warmer months! I love me a good deep red, plum- y lip and this gem has it all – the ideal shade and the perfect formula. The stunning plum could be build up or down but I love sporting it full on vampy. Plum Russian has gorgeous glossy finish but doesn’t feel sticky or greasy. It is insanely hydrating and I love that when the glossiness is gone (around the second hour) the crayon leaves beautiful stain on the lips. I love how juicy and full this crayon makes my lips, so now that the winter is nearly over, I think getting Peach on the Beach is in order. Roll on spring!
Essie Bahama Mama
Matching my lipstick with my nails has always been my forte and as boring as it may sound – I love it. That being said, the perfect nail polish to go with Plum Russian has been Essie’s Bahama Mama (review and swatches here). It is the most beautiful deep berry plum shade I own and I love its stunning purple undertones. This is what makes the polish unique and a stand out in my collection. Bahama Mama doesn’t have the best formula but it gets the job done so I am not complaining too much.
Have you tried any of these products? Do you love them as much as I do? Which is one product that you loved the most for the past month?
