The Benefits of Benefit Concealers

Benefit Erase Paste and Boi-Ing Concealers

Benefit Fakeup Concealer

Dark circles, spots and hyperpigmentation? Not a cute look. Luckily, here is where Benefit come to the rescue with their amazing concealer range. They’ve got me covered when I want to be imperfection-free and help me achieve flawless base.  These three concealers work absolute wonders and each and every one of them has a special place in my heart. Kiss the discolored skin goodbye and welcome my favorite confidence boosters!

Boi-Ing Concealer in 01 Light

Meet my best friend when it comes to covering spots! This medium-to-full coverage concealer covers every spot or scar I might be having and the best part is that it looks very natural. It doesn’t irritate my skin and feels very lightweight on. Just worm it up between your fingers and dab it onto the desired area. The warmth of your fingertips will help it melt and blend into the skin perfectly. Boi-Ing glides on like charm and it does not crease or fade. It stays put for the whole day, ensuring that everything will stay concealed and you don’t have to worry that something unwanted will start peeking in the middle of the day. As a huge dry-under-eye-area sufferer, I’d say that Boi-Ing is not my best bet, as it tends to feel a bit drying. However, if you have more normal skin there – go for it – it will cover anything and it will not crease. It’s tried and tested.

Erase Paste in 02 Medium

This full-coverage gem keeps me the best company during summertime. When my skin is tanned, Erase Paste works perfectly in conjunction with my favorite Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation. After I have my foundation on, I pat the concealer on top of any imperfections and blend. On my good skin days, I just mix the two for fuller coverage and it looks flawless. Erase Paste is very creamy and smooth and feels lightweight. It applies wonderfully and blends effortlessly into the skin for the perfect natural finish. You can apply Erase Paste with your fingertips but I find that my Real Techniques Detailer Brush works the best, as it allows me more precision. This product provides the perfect coverage, which doesn’t look cake-y and completely eliminates all traces of hyperpigmentation or spots. As for under the eyes – Erase Paste works a treat! It brightens up the area beautifully and the peachy tones of the concealer counteract the blue-ish dark circles. Hello fresh and awake complexion!

Fakeup in Light

Say hello to the ultimate under eye brightener – Fakeup! This beauty eliminates the signs of fatigue like there is no tomorrow and makes me look so healthy and fresh. Its incredibly hydrating, crease-proof formula is everything I am looking for in a concealer, and more. Fakeup has two components – moisturizing outer ring with Vitamin E and apple seed extract and the center, which is the concealer itself. This double-duty gem may seem a bit greasy at first, but once blended and set with powder it looks matte and ensures long lasting wear. It’s love. I adore how well Fakeup takes care of those terrible dark circles and illuminates the under eye area. However, if you think that the amazing properties of this lipstick-looking gem end here – think twice. I love using Fakeup to sculpt my face, as highlighter. I just take it under my eyes all the way down my cheekbones in a V-shape, and then blend. Also, I pop it on my cupids bow and bring it down the bridge of my nose to make it look slimmer. It’s quick and easy and it actually works wonders. Now, I’d say that using Fakeup on blemishes is not the greatest idea as it’s a bit too emollient and does not offer full coverage. I’ll just stick to brightening up my face with it and enjoy my fresh and dewy skin. <3

Have you ever tried some of these concealers? Which is your favorite Benefit concealer?

Lots of love,

  7. I've only tried the Erase Paste and at first I didn't like it (when my undereyes were a bit drier). However, as time passed, I tried this one again, fairly recently and loveee it! Especially for my dark circle. The slightly pinky/salmony undertone it has cancels them out super well and a little goes a long way since it is so concentrated! I only have a sample pot but it looks almost completely full.

  13. This post has came at the best time. I've owned Erase Paste for months and couldn't get on with it. I tried patting it on with fingers or using the same brush you've shown here. I then tried the conceler brush with the Bare Minerals starter kit the other day and omg what a difference! xx

  27. I did like the Erase Paste but found it a little too creamy for my oily skin. I still have almost a full tub so might give it another go and see if I can work it better :) Wendy xx
