The Dupe List #1

Beauty Dupes

GlamGlow mask dupe Superfacialist Clay Mask

Dior Creme de Rose lip balm dupe

NARS Orgasm blush dupe Sleek Rose Gold

NARS Orgasm blush dupe Sleek Rose Gold Swatches

There is only one thing better than finding an incredible high-end beauty product that works wonders and leaves you absolutely smitten. And for me this very thing is definitely finding a cheaper alternative of this beloved product - only for a fraction of the prize! Having said that, recently I’ve found some brilliant ‘dupes’ for some of my more expensive beauty gems and thought I’d share them with you! So if you fancy getting amazing results but don’t want to splash out – keep on reading!

GlamGlow Supermud Mask vs. Superfacialist Deep Clean Pore Purfying Clay Mask

Starting off with the most amazing dupe discovery – ladies and gentlemen meet the drugstore alternative of the so hyped-up (and so incredibly pricey) GlamGlow Supermud mask (here) – the Superfacialist Clay Mask (here). If you’ve read my review of GlamGlow (here) you know that for me this is hands down the most incredible face mask! Its instant mind-blowing results left me absolutely besotted and highly impressed. The mask works wonders in clearing up the deeper layers of the skin by pulling out all gunk and excess oil that I may have. Since using it, my skin cleared up SO much and I no longer have problem with white / black heads and breakouts are nowhere to be found. Sounds fab doesn’t it? Well don’t worry, as I am here to tell you that the results of the Superfacialist Clay Mask come pretty damn close to the GlamGlow ones. Same as with the high-end version, the drugstore clay mask mask works amazing job at declogging the skin and battling breakouts and I can definitely see that my skin is definitely clearer, softer and smoother after using it. My pores appear smaller and the nasty black / white heads are not an issue anymore. The main difference between the two masks though is that the Superfacialist one shows its amazing results with continuous use, whereas GlamGlow improves the skin in literally ten minutes. Apart from that, I can honestly say that they work almost identical and the drugstore version is actually gentler so why splash out? From now on, I will continue using the clay mask on a weekly basis and save GlamGlow for some special occasions.

Dior Crème de Rose Lip Balm vs. Soap & Glory A Great Kisser Lip Balm

As any dry-lip sufferer out there would agree, using a good moisturizing lip balm is essential, so when I first heard about the miraculous properties of this Dior Crème de Rose lip balm (here), I knew I had to get involved. And it didn’t disappoint – it makes my lips super soft, smooth and hydrated. It even makes them a little bit more plump, which is incredible. The price tag, however, is a bit too much in my opinion, especially when we have in mind that the balm runs out pretty quickly. Luckily, I found a dupe for this lip savior and it is this A Great Kisser lip balm by Soap & Glory (here). Not only the price is significantly lower but the formula of the balm is actually very similar to the Dior one. It melts on the lips beautifully and makes them feel very soft and incredibly moisturized. It also makes them look fuller and the Soap&Glory balm even comes in four different scents, which are all delicious. Both products are on the thicker side of things and have that ‘waxy’ feel to them, but I’ve got to admit that the Soap&Glory offering is a bit sticky, which might put some of you off. Regardless, I think that if you want to keep your pout beautiful and chapped-free you don’t really need to splurge – A Great Kisser will definitely make your lips finally feel comfortable and juicy! It’s love!

NARS Orgasm vs. Sleek Rose Gold

I’m sorry NARS Orgasm (here), bad news – I found a dupe for your gorgeous shade and it comes from Sleek with their Rose Gold blush (here). Orgasm (review here) is one of NARS’ best selling blush shades and with good reason – it is absolutely gorgeous and I am obsessed with it! I adore its warm coral-y pink shade and the beautiful golden shimmers in the blush are incredibly pretty and give the face the most beautiful dewy finish. Sleek, however, did a brilliant job at creating the perfect drugstore alternative to Orgasm, which is great news if you are on a budget. Rose Gold (review here) is virtually identical to the NARS offering, only less pink. Ironically, the Sleek formula appeals to me more as the blush is a bit creamier and I find it blends easier. Orgasm’s staying power is a bit better and the blush wears for an hour or two longer but in both cases we are still talking over six hours, so I am not complaining. Both blushes are beautifully pigmented and add stunning healthy glow to the skin. If you love the shade of these beauts as much as I do and think of getting one of them, I would honestly say go for Sleek – less of a dent in your purse and a better formula! It’s a win-win!

NUDE radiant day moisturizer and Philip Kingsley Elasticizer

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling Cherie

Hello beauties! Have you ever had that moment when there are so many things you want to do or talk about but don’t know where to start? Well, that happens to me all the time and yesterday I had a mini crisis because I couldn’t decide what to write about in today’s post. So instead of doing just one review, I decided to create new monthly series where I will be sharing my top 3 products that I am currently obsessing over. Think of it as Monthly Favorites extension in which I will ramble about some additional beauty bits that I am loving at the minute. To spice everything up a little bit and to give you a larger scoop of products, I decided to always talk about one makeup item, one skincare and one hair care. I really hope you enjoy this little addition to RosyChicc and let’s get into the three items that have captured my attention recently.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in #10 Darling Cherie

Oh how much I love rediscovering old favorites - it’s almost like shopping my own makeup collection! Amazingly enough, this joyous event happened to me this month and the award for forgotten favorite has to go to the ever-so-beautiful Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in #10 Darling Cherie (here). Being my most-worn shade for Spring 2013, this lippy definitely made quite the comeback and left me absolutely smitten once again! Its gorgeous lavender-pink shade compliments my skin tone so beautifully and I adore its cool undertones. Darling Cherie is such a lovely spring / summer color and it brightens up the face by adding beautiful pop of color. Sadly, the formula of the crayon is not ideal because of the poor lasting power and the slight drying feeling it gives to my lips. Thanks to the yummy peppermint taste of the lipstick and the cool tingly feeling it adds though, I am willing to overlook the flaws. Darling Cherie is one of the most unique lip shades I own and if you are into the whole lilac-y look this beauty is definitely worth checking out. See my full review and swatches of it here.

NUDE Radiant Day Moisturizer

Moisturizing my face before adding foundation is a step in my routine that I never skip and my latest companion has been this Radiant Day Moisturizer by NUDE (here). The cream is incredibly lightweight and sinks into the skin in literally seconds, ensuring the perfect foundation base. It hydrates wonderfully, leaving my skin look beautifully radiant and glowing. It firms the skin and evens out the skin tone very nicely as well. The moisturizer is enriched with the n-probiotic nutrient and zinc, magnesium and copper, which not only hydrate but also energize the skin. This gem has become my go-to daily moisturizer and I don’t even need to put primer under my foundation as my skin is already super soft, smooth and with minimized pores. Brilliant product!

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer

Finishing off today’s trio, raving about the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer (here) is in order. Fast becoming my hair’s newest best friend, this pre-shampoo treatment completely stole my heart with the miracles it does! Basically, if you have ever wanted your hair to be smoother, less brittle and knotty, stronger, more shiny and bouncy – you need to get involved with this miracle worker! All you need to do is wet your hair before shampooing, divide your hair into sections and apply the Elasctizer. Comb through, let it sit for about 20 minutes and then rinse off. Et Voila - enjoy your beautiful healthy strands that scream brilliant maintenance! Alternatively, for deeper conditioning and nourishing, you can also sleep in with the product and it’s like getting new hair overnight – beautiful bouncy locks that turn heads! This gem gives mind-blowing results - let me tell you that!

The Perfect Spring Lip / Topshop Lipstick in Ohh La La Review

Topshop Lipstick in Ohh La La

Topshop Lipstick in Ohh La La

Topshop Lipstick in Ohh La La Swatches

Topshop Lipstick in Ohh La La Swatches

Topshop Lipstick in Ohh La La

When I think Spring makeup, a picture of beautiful peachy lips pops into my head. Having said that, recently I went on a mission to find the perfect peach lippy for the season but got home with a fair amount of peaches in my basket. There are so many stunning shades in the stores at the moment but the one that stood out the most and captured my heart is that Topshop lipstick in Ohh La La (here). Gorgeous peach with coral undertones? Yes, please! And what’s more – I adore how bright, almost neon Ohh La La is. It brightens up my complexion beautifully and adds a soft, gentle pop of color to the face. This iridescent shade with semi-matte velvet-y finish will definitely be my best friend during spring/summer and I think it would look even better when I am tanned. Bring on the sun!

Ohh La La is my first Topshop lipstick and I am already impressed! The lippy has a lovely soft, buttery formula and glides on the lips like charm. It actually kind of reminds me of YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks, which is insane! This lipstick feels very comfortable on my oh-so-dry lips, so I definitely approve! The pigmentation of Ohh La La is amazing and you only need one swipe to get the color fully opaque. This products lasts on me for some good three hours, which is not ideal but I don’t really mind reapplying as I get to admire the lovely packaging. :) Similar to the Rouge Voluptes, this beauty does cling into imperfections and dry patches but if you give your lips a nice exfoliation beforehand, you will be all good and enjoying your stunning coral-y peach pout.

If you are like me and love the peachy lip trend, then Ohh La La is definitely a shade to look into. I love the unique hint of neon running through the lippy and the way it adds life to my complexion. If you feel more daring and bold, then you should definitely give Ohh La La a whirl. The formula is also beautiful, so all I can say is that this gem completely won me over. Love. It.

Have you tried Ohh La La before? How do you like it? Which is your favorite peachy lipstick at the minute?

Five Beauty Tips and Tricks To Remember #3

Five Beauty Tips and Tricks

Hello ladies! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and are ready for the third installment of my Five Beauty Tips and Tricks To Remember series (see the first two posts here and here). The posts went down rather well, so I am really excited to share some new tips that you should really consider adding to your beauty routine. So grab a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the tricks that will help your skin stay clear, your hair be more luscious and your nail polish dry faster.

When To Wash Your Face

Starting off with the very best beauty tip that I have ever received – washing your face after you rinse off your shampoo and conditioner. I used to always wash my face before shampooing and conditioning my hair, which recently resulted in having some strange red bumps around my temples. Apparently, I was doing it all wrong and the right way to do it is to wash your skin after you rinse off every last bit of hair care product. This will prevent you from having buildup product on your face and will help the skin stay clear. Ever since I started doing this, my skin has cleared up SO much and I no longer have to worry about hairline breakouts. Brilliant advice!

Keep Your Phone Clean

Keeping with the tips for clearer skin, a great thing to do is clean your phone with isopropyl alcohol at least once every two days. Just pour tiny bit of alcohol onto a cotton pad or a Q-tip, squeeze out the excess and apply to the surface of your phone. Then, using a gentle cloth wipe clean the phone and you are done! This will kill all the bacteria the phone collects throughout the day and will prevent you from getting breakouts around your cheeks and mouth. Simples.

Overnight Hair Treatment

The way I keep my thirsty strands happy? Once every two weeks I like to do an overnight hair treatment by leaving my conditioner on for the night. I just shampoo my hair and apply my conditioner from my ears down (otherwise my roots will get greasy) and comb through. Then I put my hair up in a plastic cap and wrap it in a towel. This will prevent the conditioner getting on my pillow and potentially breaking me out. In the morning, I rinse off the conditioner and my hair feel incredibly moisturized and silky soft. This technique is my favorite when it comes to nourishing my locks and I absolutely adore how smooth, hydrated and shiny my hair gets! Definitely try this if you struggle with dry, knotty hair!

Clean Your Hot Tools

Have you ever noticed that your straightening or curling iron isn’t working as good as it used to? Don’t get all panicky, thinking that the end of their days has come; the reason may be just that the tool is dirty and has some product buildup. This often results in incomplete straightening/curling, uneven heating and even hair damage, so you need to make sure your tool is clean. Basically, all you need to do is heat up the tool, then turn it off (you also want to make sure it’s unplugged) and wait until it gets warm to the touch (not hot!). Then pour some alcohol or warm water onto a soft towel and start rubbing the tool until it’s fully clean. Voila!

Dip Your Nails in Cold Water

I hate to wait my nail polish to dry, so a quick and easy thing to do is to dip your freshly painted nails into a cup of ice-cold water. As strange as it sounds, it actually really does work because the nail polishes tend to dry faster when they encounter cool temperature. Just submerge your nails under the cold water, leave them in for about two minutes and you are done!

Have you tried any of these tips before? How do they work for you? Which is your top beauty tip?

NARS Orgasm Blush Swatches

They say every girl has a weakness. And if that is true mine definitely has to be blush. I love how blushes transform my face and finish off any makeup look beautifully. The way they brighten up the complexion and add gorgeous pop of color is incredible and I pretty much never leave the house without some blush on – call me crazy but I just adore playing with all the different colors and perking up my skin. Having said that, I’d like to introduce you to one of my staple blushes in my collection – NARS Orgasm (here).

I am sure that any rose gold lovers out there will agree that this NARS beauty is one of the greatest makeup inventions! Orgasm’s gorgeous warm coral-y pink shade is so stunning and worms up the skin amazingly. It has some breathtaking finely milled golden shimmer running through it, which just adds to the overall uniqueness of the blush. Orgasm blends beautifully on the skin and provides that natural-looking ‘sun-kissed’ finish we all know and love. The golden particles are very fine so if you think you may end up looking like a walking disco ball – fear not!  The shimmer just catches the light wonderfully and makes the skin look healthy and glowy.

Talking NARS, saying that the formula is out of this world will come as no surprise to anyone. NARS are known for they incredible quality blushes and Orgasm is definitely not an exception. The blush has soft and smooth texture and applies like charm. It is not overly pigmented, which is a good thing, as you don’t have to worry about looking like a clown. It just gives you the right amount of color, which is amazing and makes everything so much easier. As I said, Orgasm blends effortlessly, plus it never looks cakey, nor does it accentuate dry patches or clings into pores. And if all of the above isn’t enough to convince you about the magical properties of Orgasm, let me tell you that this gem stays on me for some good seven-eight hours. This is pretty impressive as most blushes fade on me around the four hour mark. Brilliant stuff!

If you love rose gold coral blushes and fancy adding a little something to your cheeks, Orgasm is definitely a product to look for. It will not only perk up your skin by illuminating it beautifully but will also make it look more tanned and dewy. The quality is also impaccable and you really cannot go wrong with it – it’s incredible. The only bugbear about it has to be the price but don’t worry – I’ve found the perfect dupe, so keep your eyes peeled next week if you want to know more about it. Until then, you can at least go and give Orgasm a little swatch – it will capture your heart, I’m sure!

Have you trued Orgasm before? Isn’t it just lovely? Which is your all time favorite blush?

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Greenberry / Review

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Greenberry

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Greenberry Swatches

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Greenberry

Well the spring has officially sprung (in my mind at least) which means one thing – it is time to leave the dark, vampy nail polishes behind and pull out my beloved bright, colorful nail colors. I love me a good vibrant nail art - those never fail to make me feel happy and dreamy! Every season I have one shade that stands out to me the most in my collection and which I cannot stop wearing for weeks. I have a feeling that for Spring 2014 the chosen one would be the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Greenberry (here). This beauty was on my wishlist for ages and I can only regret not picking it up sooner – it was love of first application and it’s become a slight obsession!

Mint green is probably my most worn nail color of all time and I think it’s safe to say that my collection is pretty impressive. Even though I’ve tried a bunch of mints, I have never seen anything quite like Greenberry – there is something very special about it that I adore! This bottle of perfection is the most beautiful turquoise I have ever laid my eyes on. Greenberry is the perfect blend of green and blue and I love how bright, almost neon it is. It somehow reminds me of an exotic island and it is ideal for the upcoming months! The uniqueness of Greenberry makes a statement and leaves a long lasting impression, that’s for sure!

The only thing better than a beautiful nail polish is a beautiful nail polish with fantastic formula! And Greenberry is just that. I know some people might disagree or maybe I just got a good bottle, but I actually really love the formula. The polish applies easily and evenly and is not gloopy or streaky. It is on the thicker side, but dries fast and all you need is two thin coats and you are done. This faff-free formula glues the polish to my nails and it stays on for some good six days without chipping and with minor tip wear. Impressive! My favorite thing about Greenberry’s formula though is the stunning hi-gloss finish. The lacquer adds such incredible shine to the nails that I don’t even need to put top coat on – winner!

If you fancy rocking bolder tips this season, my top recommendation would definitely has to be Barry M Gelly in Greenberry. It is bright, it is cheap and cheerful and it’s colorful and shiny and a definite confidence booster. It is a unique shade with amazing formula and you definitely need to get involved! I am sure you will be totally smitten!

Have you tried Greenberry before? Do you love it as much as I do? Which is your favorite nail polish at the moment?

Spring Beauty Haul + First Impressions

Spring Beauty Haul

Spring and summer nail polishes

Sunshine, cherry blossom, peonies, pastel clothes and brighter lips and tips. Yes, it finally feels like spring outside and I literally cannot contain my excitement! Spring is my favorite season and I have a little beauty ritual where every year I go and get some new bits to add to my spring / summer makeup collection. Last week it was round one and here we have some gorgeous nail polishes, some lip treats and a couple of gems to help me keep my skin soft and flake-y free.

Having beautiful and nourished skin is essential, so when my beloved Soap & Glory Hand Food hand cream ran out, getting some hand moisturizer was in order. Somehow I got myself talked into getting this Handy Gurugu cream by Lush (here) and I still can’t decide if the purchase was worth it or not. The hand cream is very rich and is perfect for using before bed at night. As long as you don’t put too much on, it absorbs quickly and leaves your skin feel super soft and smooth. The drawback with this hand cream is the scent. It stinks, pretty much. I have no idea how I didn’t realize that in the store but I guess my nose went a bit crazy with all the different scents in the store. I hope I’ll get used to the smell though as apart from it Handy Gurugu ticks all the boxes. My lips have been having a moment recently and felt even drier then usual. With that said, I decided to stop making excuses and finally go ahead and give a try the oh-so-loved Reve de Miel lip balm from NUXE (here). This gem is everywhere these days and with a good reason – it’s incredible! Reve de Miel has a bit bizarre consistency as it feels a bit grainy and is very thick. Once it melts on the lips, however, it feels light weight and instantly softens the skin. Since I’ve been using this, my lips have been feeling so nourished, smooth and more plump! Reve de Miel not only moisturizes like charm but it also looks amazing under lipstick as it dries matte. And if this isn’t enough to convince you that you need this in your life let me tell you that the balm smells divine – honey and citrus anyone? Yes, please!

Keeping up with the lip theme, I also got two of the most beautiful peachy coral lipsticks I’ve ever seen. The first one comes from Bourjois and it is their Color Boost Lip Crayon in Peach On The Beach (here). This stunning peach with glossy finish completely stole my heart and I’ve been wearing it non-stop since I got it. Peach On The Beach is so unique and ideal for the spring with its playful, fun vibe. The formula also didn’t disappoint and I adore the hydrating, soft feeling the lippy gives to my lips. It’s love! The second coral shade I added to my collection is the gorgeous YSL Rouge Volupte Shine lipstick in #14 Corail in Touch (here). Pretty coral-y orange with incredibly moisturizing formula and luxurious packaging? Yes, this YSL beaut gives all that and more! It makes my lips so full and juicy and the amazing hint of color will finish off any spring/summer makeup look beautifully! I am absolutely in love with this product and if you fancy winning one for yourself you can enter my Giveaway here.

Apparently I was on a lipstick-shopping mood, so I couldn’t stop myself going into MAC and treating myself to a new lippy. The lucky winner this time was the famous Impassioned (here). A MAC’s best-selling shade, this beauty left me absolutely smitten. It is the most gorgeous bright pink-red in my collection and I love the hint of neon that it has – it’s perfect for the warmer months. Impassioned makes my green eyes pop beautifully and brightens up my complexion. It is super opaque and glides on the lips effortlessly. It does feel a bit drying on but if I pop some lip balm underneath - I am good to go.

Ladies and gentleman, big news - I have new favorite mascara!! It is from the drugstore and it is downright incredible! I am talking about the brilliant Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion mascara (here), which captured my heart with the very first use. Bigger, thicker lashes? Check. Volume? Check. Holding curl? Check. No clumps? Double check. This baby is just everything I ever wished for in a mascara and the results are amazing! My lashes have never looked better and so many people have asked me if I was wearing false lashes. Tells you something, doesn’t it? :) The only problem I have with False Lash Effect Fusion is that I got the shade Black/Brown and it is a bit less dramatic for my liking. I will definitely be picking up the Black version soon though, so it is all good.

Last but certainly not least, I got three nail polishes and I have fallen head over heels in love with each of the shades. The fist one is Essie Mezmerised (here) and it is this gorgeous true cobalt blue. Its stunning shade makes me think about the sea and I think it would be the perfect summer companion. Next, I got another blue polish and it is Bikini So Teeny by Essie (here). This beautiful soft ‘cornflower’ blue shade is ideal for the warmer months and makes my skin look so tanned, which I adore. The fine silver shimmer in Bikini So Teeny adds such beautiful sheen to the polish and I love how beautifully the light reflects it. Prettiness in a bottle! The last polish I got is the ever-so-unique Bourjois 1 Seconde Gel polish in #27 Green Fizz (here). You can see me wearing it here and the almost-neon green shade is so stunning and definitely a winner in my books. It reminds me of Essie’s First Timer (here) but I love that it’s brighter. The formula of all three nail varnishes is spot on. They apply easily, dry fast and stay on well. Lovely picks!

I really hope you enjoyed my little haul and everything I got. If you’ve tried any of the products do let me know how you like them. :) Have you started your spring beauty shopping yet? Have you got anything exciting?

The Perfect Nude Lip / MAC lipstick in Hue Review and Swatches

MAC lipstick in Hue

MAC lipstick in Hue

MAC lipstick in Hue

MAC lipstick in Hue Swatches Lip Swatch

MAC lipstick in Hue Swatches

MAC lipstick in Hue

Subtle eye makeup, natural blush and bold, bright lip. Yes, that is my ideal makeup look and what you can spot me wearing the most. However, sometimes I like to channel my inner Kim Kardashian and rock the smokey eye, paired with a pretty nude lippie. My favorite partner in crime for those occasions is Hue by MAC (here). Being my first ever MAC purchase, this gem has a special place in my heart and for a good reason – it is beautiful, the formula is lovely and it finishes off any look perfectly.

One of MAC’s cult lipstick shades, Hue definitely has a lot to bring to the table. It is the most beautiful pink-y nude I own and I absolutely adore its subtle sheen-y cream finish. Something that I’ve noticed with Hue is that it looks slightly different in the bullet than it does on the lips, so it is definitely worth swatching. Hue is one of those shades, which transfers on everyone’s lips a bit differently. On my rather pigmented lips it appears more pink-y and just tones down my natural lip color a bit. It is a pretty classic and universal shade and in my opinion it would compliment any skin tone beautifully. Hue is so feminine and sophisticated and is a great companion for any occasion. Be it an important meeting or a night out – this beaut has got you covered.

The formula of this lippie is amazing. Being a Glaze, it offers medium coverage and stunning sheen-y finish. Hue glides on the lips effortlessly and feels buttery soft on. This is pretty much the only MAC lipstick I own that doesn’t dry out my lips and it definitely deserves thumbs up for that! Hue stays on for about two hours, which is not ideal but I honestly don’t mind reapplying throughout the day. The only bug bear about this lipstick is that it does accentuate imperfections and could look a bit patchy. If you give your lips a good exfoliation (read all about my lip scrub techniques here) beforehand though – you will be all good and you’ll have beautiful juicy and even pout. Simples.

If you are all about a good nude lippie or you are like me and fancy a change from the bolder lip choices, then you need to go and get involved with Hue. Go and swatch it and I am sure you will be smitten – it’s love.

Have you tried Hue before? How do you like it? Which is your favorite nude lipstick?

Oh brows – they are a bit of a touchy subject for me. Thanks to my ‘rebel’ teenage self who used to pluck every last bit of hair she sees, now I am the not-so-proud owner of two sparse, uneven and unruly brows. Let’s just say that when it comes to brows, channeling my inner Care Delavigne is a mission impossible. After trying (and not really liking) a ton of brow products, what I really needed was a miracle to happen. And very recently it did – a little package from Benefit arrived at my doorstep with their latest release – Gimme Brow* (£17.50). Benefit definitely know what they are doing when they talk brows and this miracle worker proved just that and has made my eyebrows one lucky pair.

When you first look at Gimme Brow it looks like a regular brow gel but really – it’s so much more than that! This brow-volumizing fibre gel not only keeps the hairs in place but it also tints them and makes the brows look fuller and more defined. Gimme Brow comes with a teeny tiny wand, which is so easy to use and it’s an ideal size – it goes right in there and covers every hair without being messy. The amazing fiber gel sticks to the skin and hairs and fills in those gaps perfectly. Gimme Brow boosts the brows beautifully and makes them look super natural and subtle at the same time.

What I adore about this lovely product is that it offers amazing color pay-off and is also very buildable. Just swipe this beauty over your brows and if you have naturally fuller brows you will be good to go. If you fancy more tint and dimension you can apply two or three layers of the gel and it will maximize your brows without making them look crispy or feel heavy. Simples! Gimme Brow comes in two shades – light/medium and medium/dark and they are both rather universal. I have both but since I’m blonde I opt for the lighter shade and I love that it has more ashy tones and doesn’t lean towards yellow. This gem also stays put for the whole day and is also water resistant. Brilliant touch.

So there you have it – my new Holy Grail brow product that takes me one step closer to the desired bigger and fuller brows. Gimme Brow is definitely one of the best releases of the year so far and it’s perfect for everyone’s needs. It’s time to kiss goodbye the sparse, unruly hairs and welcome our new, perfectly defined brows!

Have you tried Gimme Brow? Do you love it as much as I do?

Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake

MAC Angel Lipstick

Hello beauties! Recently I did a guest post over on Chaitra’s blog and I figured I’d share it on mine as well in case you missed it. So Valentine’s Day might be over but who cares? We don’t need a special day to give love and feel loved, am I right? One thing I will kinda miss about V-day though is the pretty pink makeup that goes with it. There are so many tutorials that show us how to look out best for the holiday, using subtle, natural pink-y makeup, which I simply adore! Why stopping at Valentine’s though? We can (and we should) recreate those looks any day of the year when we’re going out on a date with our special someone! My main makeup focus while doing them is always a lipstick, so I decided to show you my top three pink lipsticks, perfect for a date. They are all pretty and natural and you can’t go wrong with them. Oh, and a little secret? Guys love pink pouts! ;)

YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in 07 Lingerie Pink

Pretty pastel pink lipstick in a breathtaking packaging? Yes please! YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in Lingerie Pink is my ideal companion when it comes to pink lips. The shade is to die for and it compliments my skin tone perfectly. I don’t know how it would look on darker skin, but I definitely recommend swatching it because it’s waaay too pretty to miss and the glossy finish will win you over. The formula of this beaut is incredible as well – it’s super moisturizing and feels buttery soft on the lips. The pigmentation is insane and lasts on my lips for about two hours. One tip though – make sure you exfoliate your lips before wearing the lipstick as it tends to cling into imperfections. Once that’s done though you will have the perfect pinky lip, which will steal your partner’s heart!

Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake

I love me a good budget buy lipstick and the Revlon Lip Butters seem to make the cut! One of my favorite date-appropriate lippies is their Strawberry Shortcake butter. I am head over heels in love with its gorgeous cool-toned candy pink shade. It is absolutely stunning and the blue undertones make it that much more special. It is my go-to pink at the moment and I love how natural and romantic it looks.  The formula is spot on as well. Creamy? – check! Opaque? – check! Moisturizing? – double check! I highly recommend you get involved with Strawberry Shortcake – it’s love and will turn heads! ;)

MAC lipstick in Angel

Meet my favorite pink-y nude lipstick – Angel by MAC! This pale rosy shade is ideal for those of you who don’t fancy wearing full on pink on their lips but still want some nice pinkish hue. Angel is super creamy and I adore its subtle sheeny finish. This is my perfect no-makeup-makeup lippie as it looks super natural but still enhances your look beautifully. Angel is slightly drying but it’s nothing that a tiny bit of lip balm underneath can’t solve. I love that is very buildable and lasts hours on the lips. Little winner!

Have you tried any of these lipsticks? Which one is your favorite? What is your ideal date night lipstick?

Lots of love,
