April is officially here, which means one thing – it’s time for me to walk you through my March most-loved. Beauty-wise, March was a brilliant month and let me tell you – we have a nice selection of products here! I’ve discovered and rediscovered some amazing bits, so grab a cuppa and dive in with me into the prettiness of peach makeup, the perfect base and contour companion and a brow miracle worker!
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
Starting off with an oldie but a definite goodie, this Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation captured my heart yet again. For some reason I always forget about this beauty and tend to stick with my high-end foundations. This time, however, I will not be looking back. Wake Me Up (here) is hands down the best drugstore foundation I have ever tried and I cannot recommend it enough! It provides incredible medium-to-full coverage and covers everything from minor redness to severe blemishes. It blends beautifully and the thing I adore most about it is how natural and airbrushed it looks on – it’s like a second layer of perfect skin. Wake Me Up feels very hydrating on the skin and doesn’t accentuate dry patches, unlike my beloved Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (review here). The cool thing about this foundation is that it is actually ‘anti-fatigue’ which means it adds beautiful glow and dewiness to the complexion. The foundation has some really finely milled shimmer particles in it to help with that but don’t you worry – they are almost undetectable on the skin and won’t make you look like a walking disco ball! Wake Me Up just makes the skin look appear healthier and happier, without budging throughout the day! Brilliant product – well done Rimmel!
Benefit Gimme Brow in Light / Medium
Ladies and gentlemen, meet the star of the show this month – the oh-so-amazing Gimme Brow* by Benefit (review here). I would’ve never thought that I could fall in love with a brow product that much, but this little tube of perfection completely proved me wrong. Gimme Brow is a brow volumizing fiber gel, which not only keeps the hairs in place but also fills in the bold gaps and tints the brows making them look thicker and fuller. It is the perfect invention for someone like me who have rather sparse and unruly brows! Gimme Brow is amazingly pigmented and it is very buildable. I only need two coats to give that extra boost to my brows and the good news is that the gel doesn’t make the hairs look crispy. This brow genius is an incredible product, which will not be leaving my makeup bag any time soon – that’s for sure!
Topshop Lipstick in Oh La La
I’ve had a slight obsession with peachy lipstick recently and the one that has been pretty much glued to my lips in March was this Topshop lipstick in Ohh La La (here). I think I’ve raved about it enough recently, so I will leave you to my review on it here, but let me just tell you – this is the most beautiful Spring lipstick! Ohh La La is such a stunning almost-neon peach with coral undertones and I adore how it brightens up my complexion. I love the soft, velvet-y finish of this lippy and the hydrating formula gets big thumbs up from me as well. Love. It.
Bourjois Cream Blush in 01 Nude Velvet
Following the peachy theme, the rediscovery of the month has been this gorgeous cream blush from Bourjois (here). If you are into peach blushes and you are a fellow pale skinned lady - Nude Velvet (review here) is the one to check out. The light peachy color of this beauty is amazing and I adore the way it adds pop of color to my cheeks and brightens up my face. These Bourjois blushes have incredible cream-to-powder finish and have soft velvet-y texture. I usually use my fingertips to apply Nude Velvet and it blends effortlessly without budging the layers underneath. The pigmentation of the blush is amazing and the staying power is impressive – around seven/eight hours on me. Say hello to my cheeks’ best friend for Spring!
Soap&Glory Solar Powder Bronzer
The beautiful hot, sunny days are right around the corner but my skin needs that sun kissed glow more than ever. I am scary fair at the moment and last month my complexion was literally begging me to incorporate some color into it. Luckily, the incredible Soap&Glory Solar Powder bronzer (review here) came to the rescue and gave my face everything it needed. This lovely two-colored bronzer is ideal for both contouring and just for adding subtle overall glow to the face. Depending on the effect you are going for, you can mix the two colors together or use them separately. Nonetheless, the formula of Solar Powder is insane – the color pay-off is amazing and I love how soft and buttery it is. It applies like charm and sticks around for ages. Luminous, healthy-bronzed look? – Check!
