Another month, another monthly favorites and this time it’s a good one! Beauty wise April was brilliant! Not only that I changed up my every day makeup routine quite a bit (keep your eyes peeled for a FOTD post soon) but I also discovered and rediscovered some complete game changers. Purple eye shadow to enhance my green eyes, incredibly lengthening and volumizing mascara, beautiful peach lippy – that’s just a little scoop of my April most-loved and I hope you enjoy!

Putting eye shadows under my lower lash line has never really been my forte but after flipping through some beauty magazines and seeing the latest trends this was about to change. I decided to dip my toe into the whole ‘eye shadows under the eye’ thing and I couldn’t be more pleased. Purple shadows and I are now best friends and the partner in crime is this beautiful Inglot 114R shade from their Rainbow Freedom System (here). I use the darkest hue and the way it makes my green eyes pop is just love. The formula is also incredible – buttery and long lasting. Lovely!

I found it – the best drugstore mascara! Pretty bold statement but that’s just how I feel about the Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion (here). We bonded straight away and even though I somehow ended up with the Black Brown version instead of the Black, I am still in love. It gives me legit false lash effect in literally seconds and I adore how long and voluminous my lashes look. This gem really gets into the root of the lash and the amazing plastic wand works its magic with no fuss, while getting all lashes and offering wonderful separation. Also – you get clump-free formula and amazing curl-hold. This past month False Lash Effect Fusion bumped off the top spot my beloved Too Faced LashGASM (review here) and the best part is that it costs fraction of its price! Score!

I usually tend to go for true pink blushes but this month I craved a little change, so I dug out a forgotten gem – Benefit Hervana (here). This four-shade beauty gives the most beautiful peachy pink flush of color and brightens up the complexion in one swipe. Hervana is one of those blushes that add gorgeous subtle sheen to the cheeks whilst keeping everything super natural and pretty. I just pop it on when I want to tone down my makeup a bit or on those no-makeup-makeup days. It instantly perks up the skin and makes me look healthy and fresh. I also adore the long lasting, buttery formula.

You know that you’ve found a beauty gem when you receive massive amount of compliments on it. This month it happened with the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Streak (here). I gushed about it enough here, so I won’t go into too much detail but let’s just say that I’ve fallen head over heels in love with it. The packaging, the formula, the shade – everything. A bright peach with pink-y coral undertones and brilliant moisturizing and pigmented formula – it’s love. One swipe and I am done – having the perfect juicy pout, ideal for the season. Could this become my new favorite lipstick? Quite possibly, yes.

Pastel tips are good. Purple pastel tips are even better and for second spring in a row I devote my love for Essie Lilacism (review here). Even though it did somehow change its shade a bit, going from true lilac to more of a periwinkle with a pinch of grey – it still owns my heart. The beautiful, enchanting cream was pretty much glued to my nails in April and for a good reason. The shade is so unique, yet rather classy and sophisticated when on the nails. As far as the formula goes, I’ve seen Essie do better but it’s nothing too faff-y, so I’m not complaining.

Have you tried any of these products before? Which is the one product that you loved in April?

Lots of love,
