Physicians Formula Nude Wear Glowing Nude Blush in Rose

Physicians Formula Nude Wear Glowing Nude Blush in Rose

If you were to ask me two weeks ago what my favorite blush was I would have definitely gone for this little beauty here. However, Physicians Formula managed to strike again and now I have a new addition to my everyday makeup bag. Meet the cutest blush ever created – the Physicians Formula NUDE Wear in Rose (here). We all know I have a soft spot for pink blushes and when they also add gorgeous healthy glow to the skin I am pretty much sold.

Talking Physicians Formula and especially their new NUDE line, it would be a crime not to start off with the packaging. Let’s just have a minute and appreciate the beautiful faux leather compact and the adorable rose gold bow on top. It’s every girl’s dream, am I right! Who am I trying to fool, I only got the blush for the packaging. The good news, however, is that the product inside definitely didn’t disappoint and it left me absolutely smitten with the first swipe of the brush. More on the formula in a second but the color itself is absolutely stunning. Marketed as no-makeup-makeup-blush, this beauty provides just a light wash of color, whilst still brightening up the complexion and making it radiant and luminous. I have the shade Rose and I adore every single thing about the color. I just sweep my brush across the palette and blend all colors together to get this lovely pastel-y, cool-toned pink with beautiful sheen-y finish. If you are patient enough you could use each of the four shades individually but I personally find that they look best when mixed. Rose is one of those products that instantly perk up the skin and make it look healthy, dewy and fresh. It’s subtle, yet eye catching and if you have warmer skin tone, then the shade Natural should be a perfect match. Definite go have a swatch.

It’s no secret that I love the concept behind the Physians Formula products. I could never say no to a product that promises to be for sensitive skin and which is hypoallergenic, paraben and gluten-free. The NUDE line is obviously no exception and I love the formula of Rose. The blush is buttery and blends beautifully into the skin and the best part is that it doesn’t accentuate my pores, which I find very rare with sheen-y blushes. Yay. In terms of longevity I can’t really fault it – I get some good seven hours wear out of it. Pigmentation wise again – really lovely. Rose is definitely not chalky and could be build up or own, depending what look you’re going for. You can sheer it out or apply a couple of layers for more pop of color. It’s up to you but either way – it looks stunning on the skin. This gem does everything you would want it to do and more. From the packaging to the formula – it rocks!

Have you tried Physicians Formula NUDE Wear Blush in Rose? How do you like it?

PS. So sorry for the lack of swatches of this blush but I just couldn’t for the life of me make my camera do justice of the colors.

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Rio Rush Swatches

New launches are always intriguing but when their offering is brilliant that’s when obsessions are born. Having said that, I recently got hooked and there is no coming back. Meet my 2014 favorite launch so far – the gorgeous Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Rio Rush (here). It took me less than a second to completely fall in love with it and the report goes as follows:

I’ve been searching high and low for the perfect bright fuchsia pink shade and when I applied Rio Rush for the first time I knew it was the one. It’s vibrant, it’s bold, it’s fun and unique and the slight cool undertones compliment my skin tone beautifully. It’s summer appropriate and I equally enjoy rocking it during the day or on a night out. Rio Rush is one of those ‘slap on and head out the door’ shades and I adore the way it adds pop of color to my complexion and brightens it up. It is purely brilliant and the luscious, juicy finish is to die for.

Revlon really know what they are doing when it comes to creating spectacular lip formulas, don’t they! Do the incredible Lip Butters ring a bell? Well, this time around they proved they could make fantastic lippies in liquid form as well. The new Moisture Stains have the most unique formula and there isn’t anything I could really compare them to. They are hybrid between lipstick, lip gloss and lip balm. I’m not sure about the stain claims though as the product doesn’t actually stain the lips and it’s not the best in terms of longevity, sadly. Apart from that though the formula is on point. The application is a breeze and the cute little applicator makes everything that much easier. It dispenses the perfect amount of color and it hugs every curl of the lips. The product is extremely moisturizing and I’m sure all fellow dry-lipped ladies will be rather happy. Also you get no awkward fading or bleeding in deferent areas. Score! Oh and one last thing - you literally get full-blown, opaque color is just one swipe, which is rare for liquid lip products.

My final verdict? The Revlon Moisture Stains are a total people pleaser and Rio Rush has completely stolen my heart. Now, where is my wallet, I need to get my mitts on the rest of the stunning 11 shades haha.

Have you tried the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stains before? Do you love the look of Rio Rush as much as I do?

*These babies will hit the stores in the UK in August

Bronze Things Up

Continuing our bronze-y talk from yesterday, I figured I’d also talk you through my favorite face bronze-getters for Summer 2014. If you were to ask me this time last year what my all time favorite beauty product was I would have definitely gone for blush or lipstick. This year, however, I am all over bronzers. High end, drugstore, shimmery, non-shimmery – I am not picky; I want them all haha. Having said that, I have had the chance to try quite a few for the past few months and here are my top four that made it to my most-loved:

Starting off with an old favorite here on RosyChicc and my one and true love - Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer (here). This matte beauty has been keeping me the best company for the past year and I love it for two simple reasons. One – Milk Chocolate is the perfect shade for my oh-so-fair complexion and two – the creamy, buttery formula is such a pleasure to use. If you are a fellow pale lady one thing is for sure – you will love the shade of this baby. It is a lot lighter then most bronzers on the market and it does not have orange undertones; it just adds healthy natural-looking color to the skin. And as I said – no shimmer in sight, which makes Milk Chocolate perfect for both contouring and warming up the outskirts of the face. The formula couldn’t be any better with its long-lasting, moisturizing and cocoa-smelling benefits. Oh and I also just hit pan on it yesterday, which is always exciting eek. Review here.

Speaking of a fair complexioned gal’ best friends Soap & Glory Solar Powder Bronzer (here) has to be mentioned. This cutely packaged, multicolored gem is the best of both worlds. It comes with two shades – a darker, true bronze brown and a lighter, more nude-y color with some fine shimmers running through it. You can mix both colors together for a subtle all over golden glow or just use them individually for sculpting. Either way – the results are absolutely gorgeous. Its buttery soft, hydrating formula that hangs around for ages on the skin has everything on my bronzer checklist sorted and you won’t regret it either. Promise. Review here.

Bourjois are absolutely owning it at the minute and I’ve recently added another one of their fab products to my stash. Say hello to Bourjois Delice de Soleil Bronzing Powder (here), which has been helping me massively to incorporate some color and healthy glow to my face. You get the perfect blend of warm and cool tones and it instantly adds beautiful and natural-looking color to your cheekbones. I have the shade fair/medium and again – it is ideal for all of us not-so-tanned girls. The bronzer has some teeny tiny particles but they are very subtle and won’t make you look like a walking disco ball, so fear not. Delice de Soleil applies like a breeze, has amazing longevity and the sun-kissed look it gives is absolutely beautiful. There’s nothing you won’t love about this and I bet you’ll fall in love with its chocolate scent. Yum.

A bronzing powder cheap as chips that actually works wonders really do exist. Enter NYC Big Bold Bronzer in ManhaTan (here). This beauty and I bonded with the first application and let me tell ya – it rocks. Its gorgeous matte golden bronze shade leans more on the warmer spectrum of things but it still compliments and enhances my skin tone beautifully. Big Bold blends effortlessly and evenly and you don’t have to worry about it being chalky – it’s soft as butter and foolproof to apply. Pop it on to create the larger cheekbones and thinner nose that you never had or just dust it all over for beautiful radiant and healthy golden look. You can’t really go wrong with it. It’s love.

Last but not least on today’s beauty report comes the lovely Milani TanTastic Face & Body Baked Bronzer (here). Shimmery bronzing powders and I usually don’t get along but this highlighter-and-bronzer-in-one was a game changer. It gives a spot of bronze-y color and lots of sheen and I love to pop it on top of my regular bronzer on my cheekbones. It just adds some warmth and the beautiful glowy finish is absolutely stunning. Bronzed, radiant and healthy skin? Check! If you are not into slapping shimmer on your face then you could pop this beauty on your collarbone, the center of your legs (shinbone) or any other place you fancy illuminating. Make sure you apply it with very light hand and you will enjoy gorgeous dewy finish that isn’t too overboard. Simples.

Have you tried any of these products before? Which is your favorite bronzer for the summertime?

Bye Bye Pale Skin

Sun’s out and so is our skin. Shorts, dresses, bikini – it all sounds wonderful but if you are pale as a chicken (*raises hand*) you’ll know it all suddenly doesn’t seem that exciting. Being fair complexioned must be one of my least favorite features about myself and honesty lying down on the sun for hours does not appeal to me. Having said that, luckily I’ve discovered a couple of fab products to help me fake that sun kissed look we all know and adore.  Say hello to my ultimate summertime confidence boosters, which never fail to help me look as if I just came back from the Caribbean. Bare legs season, we are finally staring to get along!

Being a completely self-tanning newbie when I got my hands on the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Gradual Tanning Moisturizer (here) last year I had no idea what to expect or how to use it. In the morning, however, I was loving every bit of my newly lost fake tan virginity. The lotion had given me the most beautiful bronzed-goddess type of look and my body had honestly never looked better. Basically, the idea behind this product is that if applied regularly it helps you gradually achieve and maintain gorgeous bronzed glow all over your body. This gem also doubles as a moisturizing lotion and with the help of the Vitamin E it keeps the skin soft, smooth and well hydrated. Brilliant. The color that the tanner gives to the skin is spot on – not too orange, not too ashy; it’s just the perfect blend and I love how natural it looks. You could build it up or down depending on your preference but either way – you are going to love your beautiful healthy looking complexion. The application of this gem is quite the child’s play – make sure you’ve exfoliated your skin before and then using a tanning mitt or your hands (wash them well right after you’re done) just rub in the lotion wherever you fancy. Done. You are getting no patches, no streaks and no unevenness – I am definitely giving this beauty the RosyChicc stamp of approval! One thing I have to mention though is the scent – it does smell strong of cookies and chocolate, which isn’t ideal for my sensitive nose but luckily it doesn’t linger for ages so it’s fine by me.

Three finished bottles down the road and a good amount of confidence boosting, next under the spotlight we have the oh-so-incredible Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs (here). Makeup for your legs anyone? Yes please! This spray-in-and-go product has definitely stolen my heart with the first application. You just shake it well, spray some amount on your palms and then gently apply it evenly all over your legs. The results? Beautifully tanned and natural-looking skin, which makes you look ten times thinner and a hundred times healthier. I absolutely adore the subtle glow that this beauty gives me - it’s lovely. The fact that it also gets rid of the pink-y undertones of my legs and replaces them with stunning chocolate bronze color is enough to call this spray a total winner. However, if this is not enough to convince you that you need to get involved with Airbrush Legs fear not - the list of awesomeness continues. This miracle worker not only instantly enhances the color of the skin but it also covers imperfections. Bye bye freckles, hyperpigmentation and veins – it is literally like full coverage foundation for your body and I am absolutely smitten. The great thing about Airbrushed Legs is that it doesn’t stain your clothes and it is water resistant as well. Brilliant isn’t it! After all this faux tan talk I am off to slap some of it on and rock my new flowy dress eek.

Have you tried these products before? Do you adore them as much as I do? Which are your favorite self-tanning products?

Summer Blues

L-R: In The Navy, Mezmerised, Bikini So Teeny, Blooboo
What a better way to fight the summer blues then rocking pretty blue hues on your tips and toes. Nail polish wise, Summer 2014 for me is definitely the year of the beautiful blue manicure. From cobalt to navy to pastel – I don’t discriminate; I love them all. Blue nail polish is fun and unique and definitely the epitome of sea and summertime getaway to somewhere exotic. Here I have my top favorite blue shades, which have been making my nails rather happy and excited for my upcoming holiday. The list goes as follows:

I’ve been searching for the perfect cobalt blue nail lacquer for absolute ages and I am happy to report that I have finally found it. Meet the ever so lovely Bourjois 1 Seconde Gel Polish in 23 In the Navy (here). I adore the somewhat darker cobalt blue shade – the deeper tones are absolutely stunning and I like how the polish goes brighter depending on the lighting. I think I’ve banged on about the formula of the 1 Seconde varnishes enough recently, so let’s just say that it is downright brilliant. High-shine, gel like finish, mind blowing pigmentation and incredibly long lasting? I am completely sold.

Royal blue nail polish is summertime must have in my opinion and Essie Mezmerised (here) has been well and truly loved this year. Again, I adore the deeper tones of the shade and it reminds me of sailing, ocean and beaches. Same as the Bourjois offering, Mezmerised changes its color and on direct daylight it appears slightly brighter and more vibrant. Beautiful. This lovely cream not only dries to a stunning glossy finish but it also has brilliant formula. You literally need one coat to get full blown, even color and it hangs around for ages as well. What else could I ask for!

The perfect on-the-beach or by-the-pool vibe for me this year comes from Essie Bikini So Teeny (here). It is definitely the ultimate ‘head turner’ and I love how different and unique it is. The stunning cornflower blue shade is soft and feminine and I love the slight purple-y tint it has. It is a lovely cream but still has finely milled shimmer particles running through it and the way they reflect the light is absolutely beautiful. Bikini So Teeny doesn’t have the most brilliant formula out there as it goes a bit streaky but I happily ignore that and just focus on the gorgeous shade. It simply puts the biggest smile on my face just looking at it – my summertime best friend for sure! Full review here.

Who said pastels are only for the spring! I am not one to strictly follow all beauty rules, so I dug out a Spring 2013 firm favorite of mine and put it on the front row for this season’s nail polish picks. Yes, I am talking about you Models Own Blooboo (here). This beauty has the most gorgeous pastel blue shade I’ve seen and even though it might be a bit too daring for some I love every bit of it. It is shimmer and glitter-free and dries to a nice cream finish. As a fan of more glossy finishes, I like to put top coat on top just to make it extra shiny. The formula is spot on and unlike many other milky shades I’ve tried this one applies like charm. Bye bye streaky tips and hello even, long lasting manicure. Oh and did I mention that it makes the hands look a hundred times more tan? Swatches here.

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Serum and Crème Contour / Review

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Serum and Crème Contour

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Serum

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Crème Contour

Thickening my hair and adding some volume and bounce to it is something I always try to achieve, so any products that claim to double the size of my strands and make them look all nice and springy is always welcome. As a firm fan of the Bumble and Bumble Thickening range, you can imagine my excitement when the lovely Crème Contour* and Serum* additions arrived at my doorstep. These gems are all tried and tested and the report goes as follows:

Serum for your hair, not your face? Yes, apart from sounding all fancy and innovative I am happy to say that after using the BB Thickening Serum* (here) religiously for the past two months – it actually does work. I’ve seen some not-so-positive reviews of this product but I know that it did work for me and I am happy with it. Basically, this is a nightly leave-in treatment that you apply before you go to bed. Pump the serum two or three times, rub it well between your palms and then work it through your roots and ends on damp or dry hair. Used regularly this product ‘fattens and fortifies each strand’ over time, making the hair thicker, stronger and fuller. I’ve been using the serum twice a week and I can definitely see the difference. My hair definitely feels bigger in size and there is more bounce and life to it. The serum is quite runny and I find that it’s a bit tricky to apply but once you get the hang of things it’s all good. I love that the product absorbs into the hair and doesn’t leave greasy residue, nor does it make my hair stiff or weighted down. Brilliant. If you want to add some life and umph to your locks, get involved with this serum. Love. It.

To help my hair look plumper, more voluminous and defined I’ve been loving the Bumble and Bumble Thickening Crème Contour* (here). I just melt a small amount of the styling cream between my hands and work it through my locks to add shape and definition. I love the created lightweight paste – it helps me set my already styled hair and holds everything together. Crème Contour is my product of choice when I am rocking the curled hair and the way it defines and holds the curls is amazing. On days when I need some lift from my roots I just run a tiny amount on there after I’ve sprayed my beloved Charles Worthington Texturizing Spray (here). These two gems work wonders in conjunction and I like that Crème Contour not only helps my volume hang around for longer but also adds some bounce and lift on its own. One thing I have to mention though is that when I use the cream on my roots my hair does need washing more frequently. Apart from that, this beauty is right up my street – it adds life and volume, it hold and defines the styled hair and it feels light and smells lovely. A total winner.

Have you tried the Bumble and Bumble Thickening Serum or Crème Contour? How do you find them?

Summer Lip Combos

Combining lip products and creating a new shade that I don’t own is always fun and recently I’ve been loving to play around with colors, so I thought I’d share my two most-worn combos. We have one pink and one peach in the mix and I adore the results – colorful and unique pairings, ideal for the summertime. Enjoy!

Pink lips and I go way back so when I found this combination I immediately fell in love. Using my summer best friend MAC Impassioned (here) and adding some of the NYX Butter Gloss in Peaches and Cream (here) on top makes the perfect pink with coral-y peach undertones. The gloss tones down the almost-neon pink of the MAC lippy and adds nice warmth to the color. I love how it sheers it out a bit and the hi-gloss finish is to die for and helps me achieve a beautiful juicy pout. Peaches and Cream also helps the lipstick to last longer and it adds to the whole soft and moisturizing sensation. I adore wearing the combo on days when I don’t feel like rocking a matte pink lip and just fancy adding some glossiness into my look. Impassioned review here and Peaches and Cream review here.

When I think peachy lips I think Topshop Lipstick in Ohh La La (review here) and Bourjous Color Boost Lip Crayon in Peach On The Beach (here). Mix them together and you get the most beautiful lip duo your peach-loving eyes will ever see. I just love how the beautiful peachy pink of Peach On The Beach compliments the bright, neon peach of the Topshop offering. It adds more life and versatility to the shade and the result is absolutely stunning. The combo brightens up my complexion beautifully and weirdly makes my skin look more tan, which I always welcome. As much as I love the semi-matte finish of Ohh La La I must say that when I pop Peach On The Beach on top the glossy finish definitely tickles my fancy – it’s gorgeous.

How do you like these lip combos? Which one do you prefer?

Mini Drugstore Beauty Haul + First Impressions

Drugstore haul

Physicians Formula Nude Wear Blush in Rose

NYC Big Bold Bronzer in Manhatan

NYX Stick Blush in Pink Lotus

NYX Matte Lipstick in Indie Flick and Soap & Glory Fuchsia-Ristic

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in La La

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stay in Rio Rush

Hello ladies! So I went shopping. We all know how the story goes… I managed to get a bunch of products we all know I don’t need but they were just so beautiful that I couldn’t help it. I got carried away with lip stuff (as usual) and at this point I think I need help haha. Anyway, without further ado, let’s get haulin’.

The NYX counter always sucks me right in and this time was no exception. After falling completely head over heels in love with their Butter Glosses (review here), I decided to treat myself to a new lip gloss and it was their Mega Shine Lip Gloss in La La (here). It is this gorgeous bright medium pink with lovely finely milled silver shimmer running through it. The pigmentation is mind-blowing for a lip gloss and I love how well it applies – no streaks or bold patches. But wait, it gets even better – La La feels so buttery and soft on the lips and is not sticky in the slightest! I don’t know how you do that NYX, but very well done! Well, maybe I am becoming slightly lip gloss obsessed. Who knew that’s possible!

Keeping the lip theme, the next item I got was this beautiful NYX Matte Lipstick in Indie Flick (here). I’ve heard incredible stuff about this range and I am happy to report that it didn’t disappoint. Incredible pigmentation, easy to apply, extremely long lasting – all check! The lippy could be slightly drying though but after a good exfoliation and with some balm underneath it’s all good. Indie Flick is an absolutely stunning, bright orange-y red and I love how it livens up my face. If you are into bold lips for the summertime, this gem will float your boat – I love it.

I’ve had the NYX Stick Blush in Pink Lotus (here) on my wishlist for ages and this time I couldn’t walk away without it. This cream blush in stick form is not only cute to look at but it also has lovely formula. The color pay-off is amazing and you only need the tiniest amount to get full blown color, it hangs around for absolute ages and it doesn’t feel greasy or sticky. The blush could feel a bit drying at first but when blended into the skin it feels lovely. It doesn’t apply patchy or uneven and you don’t need to worry about it looking cakey or disturbing your base. Have in mind that the packaging on the stick could be quite deceiving and Pink Lotus is not a coral-y peach. It is a stunning cool toned pink with teeny tiny shimmers in the blend. I love how it compliments my skin tone and the way it brightens up my complexion is incredible.

I added two new members to the cheek products family. Starting off with the product with the most beautiful packaging in the world – Physicians Formula Nude Wear Glowing Nude Blush in Rose (here). I won’t be giving too much away as a review of this beauty is coming your way soon but let’s just say that I am absolutely smitten. This blush has everything on my blush checklist sorted and we are having a love affair at the moment! It’s summer and I need some color on my face, so I decided to get a bronzer that is literally the size of my head to help me with that haha. Meet the NYC Big Bold Bronzing Powder in ManhaTan (here). We bonded straight away and I find it perfect for days when I fancy adding some color and warmth into my face. The lovely matte golden bronze shade is a fair lady’s best friend and even though it is on the warmer side of things it doesn’t go orange in any way. It blends beautifully and the pigmentation is spot on. It definitely gets my stamp of approval so far.

I love me a good chubby stick and if it promises 3D volume effect, well I am sold. Needless to say that this lovely Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Fuchsia-Ristic (here) captured my interest immediately and as a good lipstick addict I had to add it to my stash. Now I have to say that this product just didn’t do it for me sadly. When swatched on my hand it is a nice pink-y shade (despite the bright orange color in the bullet) but on my lips it goes super sheer and it is almost undetectable. The stick applies well and feels soft and moisturizing but I find it a tad sticky, which I am not crazy about either. Oh and also - no volume or plumper looking lips. Not impressed. I think Fuchsia-Ristic will have to sit on the bench for now.

Last but not least, my best friend (check out her incredible blog here) decided to surprise me with the new Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Rio Rush (here). Easily this is my favorite launch of the year so far. Gorgeous shade range? Check. Mind-blowing color pay-off? Check? Unique formula? Double check. These are just brilliant let me tell ya! For me they are a hybrid between lipstick, lip gloss and lip balm. They go extremely opaque, feel super moisturizing and buttery and hug every curve of the lips making the application a breeze. The only thing I have to say about them is that I wish they stayed on longer, as I get maximum two hour wear out of them. The fact that they are not sticky makes up for that in my mind though haha. Rio Rush captured my heart with its stunning bright fuchsia pink shade – I adore how vibrant it is. Such a beauty!

Have you tried any of these products? How do you like them? Is there anything exciting you’ve added to your makeup bag recently?

MAC All That Glitters Eye Shadow / Review

MAC All That Glitters Eye Shadow

MAC All That Glitters Eye Shadow

MAC All That Glitters Eye Shadow

MAC All That Glitters Eye Shadow Swatches

My quest at making myself look like sun-kissed, bronzed goddesses continues. Even though eye shadow is not part of my regular summer makeup routine and I prefer to go out bare-lidded (is that even a word?) I still do like to sweep across some shadow if I’m feeling more fancy. Single eye shadows and I go way back and when they are from MAC you can bet that we have a certain love affair going on. As of late my weakness is their oh-so-famous All That Glitters (here). This ‘frosted champagne with gold pearl’ has completely stolen my heart. I am usually not one to wear such warm shades much but this one really stands out. The combination of the frosty finish and the copper-y tones work really well together and I adore how the little shimmers catch the light, making my eye pop beautifully. It is my perfect all over the lid shade when I want to incorporate some bronze into my look – it’s wonderful. All That Glitters is the perfect universal, everyday shadow – super subtle and very feminine. Such a beauty and I love that it is more sheeny then shimmery!

This gem has set in stone my opinion for MAC eye shadows. The formula is simply mind blowing. All That Glitters is creamy as butter and applies beautifully. Using my trusty MAC 217 brush it’s all a child’s play – it blends effortlessly and the shadow is very very far from chalky. The color pay off is insane and you only need the lightest bad of the brush. No wishy-washy pigmentation here. The shade also stays in place for hours and hours and there is no fallout in sight. No wonder All That Glitter is a MAC best seller – it does work a treat.

Have you tried All That Glitters? Which is your favorite MAC eyeshadow, I need to add some new ones to my collection?

Bourjois 1 Seconde Nail Polish in 27 Green Fizz / Review

I have a soft spot for all sorts of mint, green and turquoise nail polishes and I am always on a hunt for the perfect one. The Bourjois 1 Seconde Nail Polish in 27 Green Fizz (here) ticks all the boxes and I am in love. The almost-neon, yet milky mint green shade is so unique and beautiful and I always get tons of compliments when I wear it. It reminds me of Essie First Timer but it is a bit lighter and definitely brighter. Green Fizz is quirky and I know that it’s not in everyone’s taste but I personally cannot stop wearing it on my tips. It is the perfect summer companion as it is super fun and colorful and makes my hands look super tan, which is always great.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again – the formula of the Bourjois 1 Seconde Nail Polishes is d’bomb. They are absolutely the best varnishes on the market formula wise. I only need one coat of Green Fizz to get a full-blown, even color – simply amazing isn’t it! Also, the polish dries in literally seconds, which is a dream come true for all us not-so-patient gals. All varnishes from the range have silicone-gel texture and have gorgeous hi-gloss finish. Green Fizz stays on and doesn’t budge for some good six days. If you are not impressed yet – hear this: The brush of the polish is the perfect size. It is wide and fat and it covers the entire nail in one swipe preventing from streaks or bald patches. So so brilliant and it is from the drugstore too! Yay!

Have you tried the Bourjois 1 Seconde Nail Polish in 27 Green Fizz? Isn’t it just stunning?

Summer Cheeks

Summer blushes

Topshop Cream blush in Flush

physicians formula happy booster blush in Pink

Minimal eye makeup, bright lip and luminous cheeks – that’s pretty much my summer makeup routine in a nutshell. Who can be bothered spending hours getting ready when it’s a hundred degrees outside? Not me, for sure. To perk up my skin a bit though I always like to add a dash of mascara, pop some vibrant lipstick on and sweep across some brightening blush. Here are my top cheek picks for Summer 2014 – they are all fun, colorful and make my skin beautiful and glowing.

We have a reoccurring pink theme going on in this post and the first offering comes from Benefit in the form of their Posietint Lip & Cheek stain (here). The gorgeous light poppy pink shade is an absolute dream and I adore the way it brightens up my complexion while still looking super natural and subtle. If you are into more sheer pop of color on your cheeks, which still could be build up – this is your best bet. Posietint hangs around A.M to P.M and it is completely smudge-proof, which is exactly what we need for the summer time, am I right! The liquid-gel formula is a bit tricky to apply as you need to work it into the skin rather fast but once you get the hang of it you will be wow-ed with the beautiful results. Off into my makeup bag it goes.

Cream-to-powder blushes are my favorite for the warmer months and this Topshop beauty in the shade Flush (here) has earned a top spot on my summer makeup shelf. Just look at this perfect pink shade that is not too warm but not too cool either – it’s right in between and I absolutely love it. It adds such a lovely flush of color and I find that it really enhances the natural color of my cheeks – it’s love. The formula also left me smitten. It glides on like a breeze, doesn’t go patchy and the pigmentation is insane. Full review here.

The list of pink awesomeness goes on and the next beauty on my list is the oh-so-pretty Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Blush in Pink (here). Cute as a pie packaging, stunning cool toned pink shade, which adds beautiful life and radiance to my complexion and incredible long-lasting formula. What else could I ask for? I adore this little gem and it makes the perfect summer blush for me. It colors and highlights my cheeks like there is no tomorrow and it gets me one step closer to achieving my favorite “sun kissed’ glow. Full review here.

Okay I’m stopping with the pinks now, I also have a peachy offering and surprise, surprise it is Milani Luminoso (here). I feel like that this pan of perfection has taken over my blog recently but I can’t help it – it’s gorgeous and it’s one of my summertime best friends. It is the most beautiful peach with golden shimmer running through it and it’s one of those universal shades that suit pretty much everyone. It brightens up my skin with just one swipe of the brush and I am in love with how dewy my skin looks when I wear it – the sheen is absolutely gorgeous. Luminoso blends effortlessly and the opacity is wonderful. Big thumbs up from me. Review here.

Have you tried any of these blushes before? Which one is your favorite? Which is your go-to blush for summer 2014?

Lots of love,
