Having flat and volumeless hair is not my
favorite look but not all of us are lucky enough to rock natural big and bouncy
locks, so when I first heard about the latest beauty blogger cult favorite I
had to get involved. Yes, I am looking at you Charles Worthington Texturizing Spray (here). I think that everyone and their cat have been raving about
this drugstore gem recently but I thought that another review wouldn’t hurt
anyone, so here is how the tale goes:
Lion hair with tons of texture and volume at
the roots is extremely difficult for me to achieve as I have quite a bit of it
and it tends to weight down a little. And here is where the CW gem comes in. I
just give my hair a few spritzes of this; wiggle my fingers through my hair a bit
and I am instantly left with super big and bouncy locks. Basically, after my
hair is nice and styled I go with the spray all throughout my roots and they
double in size like a flash. I adore the way the spray lifts my hair and adds
‘backcomb’ effect – it’s beautiful. The texturizing spray actually has some of
your typical hair spray hold properties to it, which I really like because I
don’t need to use a separate product to set everything in place. This baby just
gives you that amazing second day hair grit and makes the locks super
voluminous at the same time. Brilliant.
The formula of the Texturizing Spray is lovely
as it doesn’t leave greasy residue, nor does it feel stiff or heavy. One thing
I have to mention though is that you need to allow at least 15cm. when you are
spraying your hair. The first time I used it I got way to close to my roots and
they got super sticky and crunchy. Keep some distance and you will be all good
- promise. Now, you can also use the spray all over your hair for some added
texture but as I have enough of it I just stick to using it on my roots. Plus,
I find that if used all over, my hair tends to get knotty and harder to brush
through. When I’m going for that ‘messy hair’ look we all love though, I
absolutely love the results. For me the CW Texturising Spray is an absolute
winner when it comes to bumping up my hair. I have never come across anything
else that gives me so much of the perfect trio – volume, texture and hold. If
you are looking for something to give your locks a bit of an umph – look no
further!
Have you tried the Charles
Worthington Texturising Spray yet? What do you think of it?
Ohh i keep seeing this prop up throughout the beauty community and I'd love to give it a try. Everytime I head into Boots they are always sold out of it! I love that it could be a great dupe for the Oribe spray and also the fact that the packaging is bright pink!! :D

This sounds like just what I'm after! I love big hair but mine also gets weighed down so easily, I really love the messy voluminous look though so I think this is going in my bag next time I'm in Superdrug! Xx

I keep reading so many good things about this texturising spray and need to give it a go. My hair is fine and pretty and volumeless and this sounds like it could be the trick to adding a little va-va voom to my hair.

I have just started using this as my beloved Bumble & Bumble Dryspun Finish spray came to an end but I'm not enjoying it too much - I'm not ready to give in just yet though.
