Difficult to photograph products usually go straight to my ‘not-to-blog-about’ list but every rule has an exception and today it’s in the form of Essie Sunday Funday (here). This beautiful coral pink with tangerine undertones completely won me over and it just had to be featured on RosyChicc, regardless all hours I spent trying to make the color justice (which sadly I still didn’t quite manage to do). If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you are aware of my raves about Essie Cute As A Button (here) and Essie Peach Daiquiry (here). And well, Sunday Funday is a great addition to the coral shade family and surprisingly I fell in love with the slight orange-y hues.
The color changes depending on the lighting and it screams summer and I love how vivid and playful it is. It gets even better as there are countless of tiny shimmery particles running through the polish and I love the sheen they add to the otherwise cream finish. It’s love. From tips to toes this beauty has been keeping me a great company and it is definitely coming with me when I head to Greece in a couple of weeks. The fact that it also makes my hands look tanned certainly tips the scales in its favor as well.
We all know how it goes – Essie formula could either be hit or miss and this time it is a total winner. Sunday Funday definitely ticks all boxes. It goes on like charm without streaks or bald patches. It’s not too watery, not too thick – it’s right in the middle, which is rare to find. The brush of the polish hugs the entire nail from the bottom to the top and in just two coats gives you full-blow, even color. This gem is fast drying and hangs around without chipping for days and days. It is brilliant.
Have you tried Sunday Funday before? How do you like it?
