H&M Cosmetics Make Me Blush Palette Swatches

After falling head over heels in love with the Topshop Cosmetic range a few years ago, I came to the realisation that clothing brands could actually produce great quality makeup. Having said that, last week when I was browsing through the H&M store I spotted their cosmetic range and decided to give some bits a whirl and see if they measure up to the higher end beauty lines. The first item that caught my eye was this beautiful H&M Cosmetics Make Me Blush Palette (£2,99). There were two blush palettes available and I went for the pink one cuz you know me – I have a soft spot for pink cheeks. For some weird reason though, I couldn’t find the name of the palette anywhere on packaging but it’s the pink one and the other one leans more on the peachy side. Honestly, I am really surprised at how little-to-no information there is about the H&M blush palettes because they are actually really lovely. The shades are beautiful, the formula is great and they are cheap and cheerful – definitely worth a try.

The Make Me Blush Palette comes with three stunning shades – Pink, Bright Pink and Plum. They are housed in a not-so-classy looking packaging, which definitely does not float my boat but it gets the job done and it’s great for travelling. Pink must be my favorite shade of the bunch because as you know I am a sucker for lighter, cool toned pink blushes. This one compliments my skin tone beautifully and instantly brightens up my complexion. It’s a great all year-rounder and perfect for daytime wear when you need some skin boost. Bright Pink looks rather scary in the pan with its vibrant coral-y pink shade but on the cheeks it looks more natural and adds the perfect veil of tint to the skin. Just be careful and apply it with light hand and you’ll be good to go. Bright Pink would be the perfect spring/summer blush and I can’t wait for it to grace my cheeks when the warmer months roll in – I love how it perks up the skin. The last shade of the trio is Plum and let me just tell you that it’s a colder weather must-have. It’s gorgeous Plum-y shade is super unique and looks so sophisticated and natural on, while warming up the complexion wonderfully. It has that wintery vibe to it and I’d hazard a guess that it will be very well loved now that autumn is here.

All blushes have beautiful satiny sheen to them, which I absolutely adore and they make my skin look healthier and more polished. The formula of the trio varies slightly in the pigmentation front but they are all still super pigmented and you need the tiniest dab of the brush to get full-blown, even color. The blushes have lovely silky soft texture, which feels almost creamy and they all glide on like charm. *Pleasantly surprised!* Also, these beauties don’t cling to dry patches, nor do they look cakey, which I find rare for high street blushes. The longevity is not the strongest feature of the palette and the blushes start to fade around the fourth hour mark but that’s to be expected considering the ridiculously low price tag.  So my final verdict? For what it is the H&M Cosmetics Make Me Blush Palette rocks. Definitely go get your mitts on it – I’m sure you’ll love it and for the price you don’t really have anything to loose, am I right!

Have you tried this blush palette yet? Have you tried anything from the H&M Cosmetics range? Which is your favorite product?

Lots of love,
