Beauty Favorites Autumn

It’s October! It’s Octoberrrr! Hands down my favorite month and I cannot contain my excitement! In my head October means one thing – the beginning of Autumn. The season of crisp weather, comfy jumpers, fuzzy socks, pumpkin pies, spicy candles, tartan clothing and berry lips. Having said that, my makeup Fall preparations have started early in September and some new beauty bits and bobs have been added to my everyday makeup bag. I am talking about darker lips and tips, warm blusher, a gem to clear skin and a delicious spicy hand sanitizer. September was a treat and here is what I have been obsessing over for the past four weeks…

As a proper crazy lipstick lady I couldn’t just pick one lippy to add to my Favorites. The two firm September standouts come from different price rangers but my love for both of them is infinite. First, we have Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Suspense (here) that I have banged on about quite a lot of recently, so I won’t bore you with too much details. To keep it short and sweet, all I have to say is that its cool-toned fuchsia berry shade is perfect and unique. It brightens up my complexion instantly and I love how sophisticated and classy it is. The formula is divine and you can have a read about it here. As for my vampy makeup choice this past month Rimmel Moisture Renew in Sloane’s Plum (here) has been keeping me the best company. I love me a good bold, plum-y lip and this beauty just rocks. The stunning shade is one of those confidence boosters we all love and the divine hydrating and super rich formula is the perfect finishing touch. Full review here.

As much as I love my pink and light peach blushes, this month I wanted to feel more Autumnal and what a better way to do it then to grace my cheeks with a nice deeper, warmer blush. NARS Deep Throat (here) has been the star of the show and I feel like a new solid friendship is forming. This darker warm coral is the perfect Fall blush as it gives me such beautiful natural flush of color and the finely milled warm shimmers perk up my skin in seconds. Goodbye dull skin. The formula is spot on and Deep Throat applies like a breeze and hangs around for hours and hours. Brilliant.

My skin has been one happy little thing for the past month and I haven’t had a single breakout, which calls for celebration. I am pretty positive that the product, which I have to thank for that is my LUSH Aqua Marina Cleanser (here).  I’ve decided to put aside all my other cleansers and only use Aqua Marina, both in the morning and at night. The results speak for themselves and I couldn’t be happier. This sushi roll look-alike not only gets rid of every last bit of dirt / makeup but also evens out my complexion and clams everything down. It does leave my skin a tiny bit dry but if I follow up with a hydrating serum or nice moisturizer it is all-good and I can embrace my clean, breakout-free skin. Love. It.

There have been two products from the hand care department that I absolute fell in love with and they both have contributed massively for my autumn mood. The Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine nail polish in Watermelon (here) has captured my heart yet again with its stunning dark teal shade. This baby screams ‘Fall’ to me and I love how different and unique it is. I adore the thick, highly pigmented consistency and the amazing five+ day longevity. My favorite part though is the ‘salon at home feeling’ and the glossy gelly finish. For swathes click here. I’ve confessed my addiction to hand sanitizers and the Bath & Body Works ones are on the top of my list. Their Warm Vanilla Sugar (here) one smells divine and kills all the germs in seconds. I hope so at least, and if not – well my hands are still lightly fragranced and the spicy scent adds to the whole A-word feel, so I am happy.

Have you tried any of these products? Which were some of your favorite products for the month of September?

Lots of love,

  18. I really enjoyed reading your September favourites (Love the photography style as well)! Bath and Body Works mini hands sanitisers are THE best. I love them ("Margarita" currently sits in my handbag). I have been wanting to try Lush skincare for a while now, this cleanser seems a good one. I also posted my September favourites if you fancy a read!
