First of
all I feel like I should start this post by saying a huge thank you to all of
you who are following and supporting my lil’ blog. As you may have noticed RosyChicc
hit 6000 Bloglovin Followers the other day and I cannot express how happy and
content this makes me feel! Big virtual hugs to all of you eek! Secondly, if
you follow me on Twitter you
probably know that I’ve been having major issues with my memory card, so until
it’s being fixed I decided to share a post I originally wrote for the lovely Sandra from The Black Pearl Blog (here).
She kindly let me guest post over on her wonderful blog and I figured I’d share
it on mine as well in case you’ve missed it. Hope you enjoy and don’t forget to
check out Sandra’s blog – it’s one of my personal faves!
With the
colder months slowly but surely creeping up to us, I need to amp up my skincare
game and whip out my trusty makeup glow-getters, which will kiss the
dull-looking skin a big fat goodbye. Meet my favorite beauty bits that never
fail to perk up my complexion and add life and youthful radiance to it.
I find that
the quickest and easiest way to combat the lackluster complexion and oomph
things up is using the oh-so-amazing Rimmel
Wake Me Up Foundation (here). Two pumps of this godsend miracle product is all I
need to make my skin look well rested and flawless. The foundation offers
medium to full coverage that not only hides all imperfections but also makes
all signs of dullness and fatigue nowhere to be seen. The teeny tiny shimmery
particles in the foundation (sounds scary but fear not – they are very subtle) add to the whole dewy and
healthy skin look that we all know and adore. Wake Me Up blends beautiful into
the skin and the skinlike finish definitely tickles my fancy. It hangs around
for hours and hours and it is cheap and cheerful. A winner in my books.
If you are
not fan of the all-over dewy complexion, then this L’Oreal Lumi Magique Primer (here) may float your boat. This is basically like summer glow in a
tube and it’s my not-so-secret weapon to injecting faux radiance into my skin. This
two in one skin enhancing liquid highlight could be used both over and under
foundation on the highest points of the face for an instant boost. I always
come back to this gem when my complexion is looking a bit ‘meh’ and I
especially enjoy how it beefs up my base prior to foundation. Lumi Magique is
also perfect for all of you dry skinned gals as it moisturizes the skin a bit
as well. Radiant, healthy and happy looking skin even in the coldest day of the
year? Check! Review here.
Say hello
to the best illuminating powder companion – the incredible Soap&Glory Glow All Out (here). Gawd where do I even start – I bloomin’ love this stuff. This
multipurpose beauty has me covered when I need to brighten up my skin and just
make it that much extra lively. The über finely milled powder gives me youthful-looking complexion with just
one gentle swipe of the brush for skin that looks ‘lit from within’. Glow All
Out could be dusted all over the face or you can use it as highlight and just pop
it on top of your cheekbones for some lift. Either way – the natural peachy
pink shade that peps up all skin tones will make you look healthy, radiant and dewy.
It is a complexion cheerleader, I tell ya! Review and swatches here.
Have you tried any of these products before? Which is
your ultimate glow getting product?

I've been wanting a more glowy complexion lately but I didn't want to buy any more extra products when I already had so much makeup. I ended up mixing my Benefit Porefessional and High Beam together and it became my perfect glowy and long lasting base.
ReplyDeleteRimmel's Wake Me Up foundation has to be one of my favourite foundations, I love the finish it gives and it just lasts for ages! I've never got round to trying Glow All Out but it sounds so nice, will have to give it a try xx

I wish I could do the dewy/glowy skin thing but with my oily skin I always end up looking like a shiny mess!

I absolutely love Glow All Out! Probably my favourite highlighter of all time, which is amazing considering it's not too pricey.

I need to try that wake me up foundation, I've heard a lot of good things about that but I tend to stick with what I know when it comes to foundations.
