Sheer Reds

Sheer Red Lipsticks

Korres Lip Butter in Pomegranate

Sheer Red Lipsticks

Red lips, pointy shoes and faux fur vest – the look I usually go for when I want to be braver, look more sophisticated and feel empowered. There is something about the way a simple touch or red makes you feel and I am all about it at the moment. Even though I tend to go all in and sport a full-on bright red lip, recently you can spot me rocking more sheer, subtle reds. They require a lot less maintenance, you can just slap them on and be good to go and they are the perfect option if you are calling it a no-makeup-makeup-day. I rummaged through my stash and my three sheer red standouts are as follows:

The fact that I am on my second tube of Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me (here) should tell you something. I absolutely love this cute little tinted lip balm and I always run it through my lips when I fancy adding a touch of color to my complexion. Cherry Me gives the perfect sheer pinky-red wash of color to the lips and the hydrating balmy consistency is perfect for when you are in a rush and just want something quick and easy that doesn’t require much precision. No-mirror-required type of products are the best, aren’t they! This gem suits and peps up all skin tones and its purse friendly status makes it that much better, so if you still haven’t jumped on the bandwagon, I suggest you get involved asap. Cherry Me just rocks.

The most pigmented out of the three and the product with the best formula comes from Korres and it’s their Lip Butter in Pomegranate (here). Ah where do I even start! From the gorgeous moisturizing formula that makes my lips uber soft and smooth to the gorgeous shade that perks up my complexion in seconds – I cannot fault this bad boy! Pomegranate adds the prettiest reddish veil of tint to the lips and the slight orange-y undertones warm everything up beautifully. I am a massive fan of the Korres Lip Butters for many reasons but the way the balm softens and hydrates my lips has to be my favorite part. Oh and did I mention how much I adore the juicy, kissable finish of Pomegranate? Yes, it’s love.

The first time I got my hands on the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Fuchsia-Ristic (here) I wasn’t impressed. As my love for sheer red lippies developed though, I’ve grown to love it. Ignore the bright orange shade in the bullet, ignore the deceiving ‘fuchsia’ in the name and trust me when I tell you that this baby goes in a stunning sheer pink-y red color that just compliments any skin tone beautifully. It is one of those ‘I could do it with my eyes closed’ kinda lipsticks and I love how evenly and faff-free it applies. The pigmentation is not Fuchsia-Ristic’s strongest feature but if you go on with a few layers you’ll end up with good enough pop of color that will boost your confidence in no time. Formula wise, this lip balm /lip gloss hybrid delivers on all counts and makes my lips feel soft and moisturized. Stickiness in not an issue and you’ll fall in love with the gorgeous glossy finish that makes everything much more exciting.

Have you tried any of these products? Which is you favorite sheer red companion?

Essie Parka Perfect / Review

Essie Parka Perfect Nail Polish

Essie Parka Perfect

Essie Parka Perfect

Essie Parka Perfect Swatches

Essie Parka Perfect Swatches

It’s time we dive into the deeper, more muted nail shades and put the pinks and corals on the bench until Spring rolls around. The color that’s been making my tips happy and all ready for the A/W season is yet another fab Essie shade (I have a problem, I know) and the beauty in question is Parka Perfect (here). This luxurious gray with a touch of glitter appeals to me with its colder weather vibe and I am excited to dig out my favorite knitwear more so then ever. The dusty blue undertones are beautiful and make the varnish really unique and en vogue. Think Essie Bikini So Teeny (here) but deeper and grayer– it’s love! The lovely neutral shade of Parka Perfect makes it my lacquer of choice for any occasion. For an everyday wear or for any formal event, this sophisticated gem always looks on point. Not to mention that it goes with everything and you don’t have to spend hours matching your nails to your outfit. It’s a people-pleaser, what can I say?

The formula of Parka Perfect is an important part of the equation so luckily it ticks all boxes. It left me smitten from the very first application and it reminded me once again why I love Essie so much. I can’t say no to highly pigmented nail polishes and I love it that this baby goes opaque in just one swipe. No faff, no mess, no streaks – run the perfect big, fat brush across your nails and you can easily be out the door in five minutes. All sounding rather fab so far isn’t it? Well it gets better and my favorite part is Parka Perfect’s longevity. It just stays on. For days. I wore it on my tips for a solid week and there were hardly any chipping or tip wear. Oh and the finish? Absolutely beautiful with all the right amounts of glossy. Brilliant.

Have you tried Para Perfect before? Do you love it as much as I do? Which is you favorite A/W nail polish?

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Suspense / Review

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Suspense

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Suspense

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Suspense Swatches

Chanel never fail to bring it with their lipsticks and the new addition to my stash – Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Suspense (here) - is definitely no exception to the rule. It took me less than a second to completely fall in love with it when I swatched it in the store and walking away with it in hand was a no-brainer. Suspense hasn’t left my makeup bag and has been constantly glued to my lips ever since and if I say that I’m smitten it would be an understatement. I bloomin’ love everything from the gorgeous luxurious packaging, to the stunning shade and lovely formula! It has already earned a HG status and this should tell you something. This effortlessly sophisticated cool-toned fuchsia berry pink is everything I want in a shade, and more. It’s unique, it’s daring, it’s elegant and it’s classy with just a sprinkle of fun. Suspense is bright but somehow muted at the same time and the deeper berry tint makes it the perfect companion for the colder days. The beautiful luminous sheen is the perfect finishing touch and I love how the lippy instantly brightens up my complexion. It’s a keeper.

Being the crème de la crème of lipstick, the formula of the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lippies is much-adored and well-raved. And for pretty good reason. If you are familiar with the formula, you know what I am talking about! And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better than that, Suspense lands in my shopping basket. The very thing that makes it that much better than its original Rouge Coco Shine fellows is the color payoff. Unlike the original offerings, Suspense is designed to be ‘color-riche’ and it goes on fully opaque, covering the lips in one gentle swipe. You get no sheer coverage with this beauty and on top of that the lipstick feels buttery soft and moisturizing on the lips. The consistency of Suspense is thin and pretty emollient, kind of lip balm-y but it applies evenly, so yay for no bald patches! Now the longevity may not be ideal as the lipstick wears for about three hours on me but I am more than okay with that. I mean, taking the gorgeous bullet out of my bag and applying it is a mini pamper on its own, am I right! So, my overall verdict of Suspense? I’m in love and I suggest you go get it and see for yourself – it won’t disappoint, promise. Plus, we all need to treat ourselves sometimes and what better thing to do it with than a Chanel lippy?

Lush Handy Gurugu Hand Cream / Review

Lush Handy Gurugu Hand Cream

Lush Handy Gurugu Hand Cream

Lush Handy Gurugu Hand Cream

As we get into the colder months our hands require more care, so having a good moisturizing cream at the ready is always a great idea. I’ve declared my love for the Soap & Glory Hand Food (here) on multiple occasions but a while ago I got a bit tired of the scent and I fancied a change, which naturally lured me into my local Lush store. One is never able to leave that place empty handed, am I right! I got a bunch of bath goodies and soaps as well as their Handy Gurugu Hand Cream (here). Long story short – it wasn’t what I was hoping for. Read on to hear why this lil’ pot and I will never become best friends.

It is very rare for me not to fall head over heels in love with a Lush product, I mean they are all absolutely delicious and work a treat on my skin but I guess every rule has an exception and this time the exception is in the form of Handy Gurugu. The reason why I am sending this stuff to the bench is threefold. First and foremost – the scent! I got the cream on a whim without sniffing it properly, thinking that all Lush products smell good enough to eat but oh how wrong I was. Handy Gurugu (weird name alert!) smells horrendous. I can’t exactly put my finger on it and say what it is but it kind of reminds me of a very cheap and well-expired shaving cream. The scent is heavy, makes me sick and unfortunately does linger for good few hours. I tried to get used to it but my sensitive nose just couldn’t agree with it.

The next reason Handy Gurugu doesn’t tick all the boxes is because of the formula. The cream is enriched with Shea, cashew, almond and pumpkin seed butters and really does a fab job at moisturizing and making the hands super soft and smooth. However, that happens after it’s fully absorbed, which usually takes about two hours post-application. Ain’t nobody got time to sit and wait with greasy hands for a product to sink in. If it doesn’t absorb within two minutes - in the bin it goes. The hand cream is really thick and rich and if you have *very* dry, sore skin, then maybe you’ll fall in love with the hydrating properties of Handy Gurugu, but I feel like there are loads of great moisturizers out there that will do a similar job without all the faff.

As if all the above wasn’t enough of a let down but when I found out that the cream has some bizarre black particles in it, which go straight on your hands I was amazed, an not in a good way. You can’t really avoid these bad boys and they just stick and hang around on your skin for the majority of the day. Not the cutest look if you’re having an important meeting, let’s put it that way! Handy Guguru definitely goes straight into my don’t-recommend-it list and if you have any suggestions for a nice hand cream, please do let me know.

Have you tried Handy Gurugu before? How do you like it?

Products I Always Come Back To

As you may know, I recently went on holiday and this time I didn’t pack light. My makeup bag literally took good two thirds of my suitcase and there were four foundations, multiple nail polishes, five eye shadow palettes and at least twenty lipsticks thrown in the mix. Excessive much? Sure, but my new motto is: When in doubt – get everything haha. Apart from my oh-so—hard-to-lift luggage, jetting off with all those makeup bits was a brilliant decision. I had the best makeup play around, I dolled up myself every night and I fell in love with some HG products all over again. No matter how smitten I am with my newer makeup purchases, there are three products that I always come back to and I have my bizarre packing habits to thank for reminding me how awesome the following trio actually is.

Welcome to my everyday makeup bag, Chanel Vitamumiere Aqua (here). Make yourself feel at home because this time you are not going anywhere! I am actually on my way to go and repurchase this gem as we speak and I cannot bloomin’ wait to have a brand new bottle of this godsend foundation. The reason I love it so much? Well, we have the amazing dewy finish that creates the illusion of perfectly healthy and luminous skin. We have the fantastic all-day-wear longevity. We have the incredible lightweight feel on the skin and last but not least we have the coverage. It is the very thing that got Vitalumiere Aqua a one-way ticket into my everyday makeup drawer but this time I have lil’ secret! I used to apply the foundation mainly with my fingers but I when I was away I decided to dip my beloved Sigma F80 Brush (here) in the foundation and the magic happened! I got the most stunning full coverage finish, which not only hides all imperfections but also makes my skin look airbrushed and really natural. It’s my new favorite duo and if you are after ‘flawless skin’ kinda finish – look this way!

‘Your lashes look fab, do you have falsies on?’. Yup, that’s the question I get asked pretty much all the time when I’ve coated my eyelashes with the brilliant Too Faced LashGASM mascara (here). And no wonder why – this stuff works wonders! It is definitely my all time favorite mascara and if I have to tell you how many times I’ve repurchased it you’d think I’m insane! I always come back to LashGASM as it gives the perfect amount of lash drama – I get the big and volumised lashes I adore but the look is still pretty wearable and ideal for everyday wear at the office/uni/school. The mascara offers a great deal of separation and there are no clumps or flakes in sight. LashGASM applies like a breeze and coats the lashes with beautiful jet-black color that makes the look deeper and more dramatic. This beauty holds curl perfectly and stays on for hours and hours. And if all this hasn’t converted you yet, maybe if I tell you that LashGASM is the easiest to remove mascara I’ve tried you will be willing to give it a whirl. You can see the lovely results here.

No matter how much I adore my MAC Rebel lipstick (here), I am afraid that it has been bumped off the top spot and the new star of the show is the Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop (here). It’s been a year since we bonded and my first tube is slowly but surely coming to an end. Lollipop has been twisted up and swiped on on a regular basis since I came back and I’ve rekindled my love for it and the reason for that is as follows. Firstly - the formula. It is creamier than butter and just hugs every curl of the lips, making them feel hydrated and comfortable. Secondly, the color pay off is spot on and you can get full-blown color in one swift swipe and no mirror is required. But it’s the color that sets Lollipop apart from the rest. I am all about this unique cool-toned fuchsia pink shade that compliments my skin tone beautifully and makes my green eyes pop. It is the ultimate confidence booster and the glossy finish just makes everything more polished and flattering. It’s love. Review and swatches here.

Have you tried any of these beauty products before? Which is the one makeup item that you always come back to?

Mini Fall Haul + First Impressions

Autumn Fall Makeup Haul

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipstick in 80 Suspense

Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara and Sephora Brilliant Jumbo Cheeks & Lips pen

Fall nail polishes

Sweater weather is right around the corner and I know I say it every year but I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited for the colder months! The fashion, the food, the holidays, the cozy nights and the makeup. Oh the makeup! I’m so done with wearing brights and the berry shades have already taken the front row in my makeup collection. My excitement went on another level and I made a cheeky little trip to the shops and got some new autumn-appropriate beauty bits. And it was a good trip, let’s put it that way.

I’m sorry in advance if this product makes you want to head out the door and hit the nearest Chanel counter but I just had to share it! Meet the most gorgeous fuchsia berry pink I have ever swept across my lips – Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 80 Suspense (here). It is the perfect transition shade as it is all the right amounts of bright, but at the same time it does have that deeper berry tint to it, which already makes it a Fall 2014 staple. If I had to describe it in one word it would have to be sophisticated. Suspense just screams classy and elegance and the way it brightens my complexion is absolutely stunning. The formula is spot on as well but if you fancy hearing the whole tale keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming review.

I have a soft spot for chubby sticks but when they could be used both on your lips and cheeks, an obsession is about to be born. I just like to play it a bit matchy matchy, what can I do. Needless to say that when this gorgeous Sephora Brilliant Jumbo Cheeks & Lips Pencil in Pleasant Plum landed on my desk all the way from the US I was instantly in love! Dab and blend this hybrid beauty on your cheeks for a light veil of berry coverage or sweep it across the lips for the perfect juicy plumy pout, either way - it’s love!

I am always late to the party, we all know that but this time I couldn’t be happier that I jumped on the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara (here) bandwagon. After just one application all I can say is that I am smitten. You’ll have to wait a bit for my final verdict on this gem but so far I am well impressed. Volume? Check! Perfect separation? Check! Length? Check! No clumps? Double check! New favorite highstreet mascara? Possibly.

We’ve got to take care for those cuticles, so I picked up my third pot of the heavenly Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter (review here). The tiniest amount of the zesty cream, rubbed on my cuticles or any dry areas of my body is all I need to have uber soft and smooth skin. It’s a little miracle worker and I cannot be without it – it makes the biggest difference and keeps my skin happy and beautifully moisturized.

Now that my cuticles are finally back to being nourished and soft as baby’s bottom, buying tons on new nail polishes we all know I don’t need is in order. I kicked off the season by getting three new varnishes that I have the feeling you’ll be seeing a lot of in upcoming post. My favorite of the bunch has is the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in 640 Plum Luck (here). I adore everything about its unique plum-y purple shade and I can gush about the formula for hours. It’s not Andrea’s haul if there isn’t at least one Essie polish, so I decided to throw two for good measure haha. The first one I got mainly because of the name, I mean – Cashmere Bathrobe (here) – I couldn’t resist. Luckily, I also ended up absolutely loving the deep gray shade and the gorgeous silver shimmer particles running though it – so cozy and the perfect accessory to any Autumn outfit. Another gray, but this time lighter and with finer shimmer and what’s currently gracing my tips is Essie Parka Perfect (here). I adore this dusty blue lacquer of perfection and it really adds to the ‘colder weather vibe’. Both Essie shades have brilliant color pay off and you can easily get away with just one thicker coat. Score.

Hope you enjoyed this little haul and let me know if you got any exciting Fall makeup bits recently, I am not done yet haha.

L’Oreal Haircare Staples

L'oreal haircare products, L'Oreal Elnett Heat Spray, Loreal Silver Shampoo, L'Oreal Ever Riche Conditioner

L'oreal haircare products, L'Oreal Elnett Heat Spray, L'Oreal Ever Riche Conditioner
L'Oreal Silver Shampoo

Even though I rarely talk hair here on RosyChicc, I actually take my haircare routine very seriously and I am rather picky with my products. In order for them to get a HG status they need to meet certain criteria and the list is a wordy one, let me tell ya. Having said that, for the past year, three L’Oreal bits have passed the test and now work their magic on my locks on a daily basis. If you fancy hearing more about each one, keep reading!

Calling all fellow blonde gals out there – I’ve found the perfect solution to maintaining our strands happy and brassy-free. Say hello to the best toning shampoo I’ve ever laid my hands on – the L’Oreal Expert Silver Shampoo (here). This scary-looking purple potion definitely has that ‘I just came back from the salon’ vibe to it and it works a fab job at keeping the beautiful ashy tones in tact. You can use the Silver Shampoo as often as you’d like but I tend to treat my locks to it once a week and just let it sit in my hair for about five minutes. Now this at-home-treatment could be slightly drying, which leads me to my next L’Oreal cult product. Review of the shampoo (here).

With the risk of sounding like a complete haircare snob, I’ll admit that I never thought that a drugstore conditioner actually could do the job and make my hair soft, silky and easy to brush through. Well, the moral of the story is that obviously L’Oreal know what they’re doing and their Ever Riche Nourishing & Taming Conditioner (here) is the living proof that fab highstreet conditioners do exist. I am on my third bottle of this gem and I have the one for Very Dry Rebellious Hair and in one word – it rocks. This baby makes my locks feel so hydrated and nourished, without weighting them down and just leaves them feel extra soft and glossy. I need the tiniest bit of this Sulphates-free detangler and my hair is instantly a breeze to comb through, which trust me, is a rare occasion. I usually leave the lovely botanical oils to do their wonders for about five minutes and then rinse. The result? Soft, silky and beautifully rejuvenated hair that’s beautifully hydrated and extra bouncy. Bye bye straw-like hair – you’ve been banished!

I wish I was one of those ladies that never need to put any heat on their hair to look fab, but sadly I am not of them the lucky ones. I do need to blow dry and strengthen my hair to make it look decent and this means that the use of good heat spray is in order. Well, six (and probably more) bottles down the line and I could say that I found my Holy Grail heat protectant and it’s in the form of the L’Oreal Elnett Heat Protect Styling Spray (here). The one for Straight hair floats my boat the most and I love that as well as up to 230° heat defense this gem helps also keeps your hair styled and frizz-free. Brilliant. The mist is really lightweight and fine and absorbs fast into the locks, which means you can use it both on wet and dry hair. I love that the spray almost has like build-in oil of some sort that makes my hair extra soft and sleek. Double winner.

Have you tried any of these products before? Which is your number one hair product?

Lots of love,

Andrea

How To Make Your Eyes Look Bigger and Awake

In an ideal world we would get some good eight hours of beauty sleep every night but let’s be realistic – our summer holidays are over and it’s officially back to school / work season. Staying in the library till the small hours or having sleepless nights, stressing over a due project – trust me I’ve been there! And the worst part is that we don’t get to call the next day a ‘duvet day’ and we need to be back at school or work and look presentable even if we’re falling asleep at our desk. Fun times. Luckily, we can always rely on or our best friend, the makeup, to come to the rescue and erase all signs of fatigue. Here are my tips and favorite beauty bits, which help me look a little bit more bright-eyed and present.

Talking makeup for tired eyes, we obviously need to start with covering those not-so-flattering dark circles that are peeking through, using your favorite concealer but you know the drift, so let’s jump into the second step – applying light eye shadow. All you need to do is pop some all over the lid or right in the center, which gives a 3D effect on your eye and makes it appear brighter and wider. The makeup mavens agree that the best shade to use is champagne or a very light gold with some tiny reflecting particles in it. If you fancy taking things one step further, you can also add some white shadow in the inner corners of your eyes, which will instantly create the illusion of well rested and awake look.

My two favorite ‘tired-eye’ companions are the MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study (here) and the bloomin’ beautiful Too Faced Eye Shadow in Magic Mushroom (here). Bare Study is my most cherished cream eye shadow and I adore the stunning light champagne-y color and the stunning frosty finish. It not only brightens up the look in one swift sweep of your finger but also helps cover any veins that you may have. Score. Review here. Magic Mushroom on the other hand tickles my fancy with its unique light pink-y shade with subtle golden shimmer running through it. It has ‘brighter and awake eyes in a pan’ written all over it and the way it makes my eyes pop and look wider is incredible. Oh and did I mention how creamy the Too Faced shadows are – they are virtually like butter. Review here.

Next step towards making the eyes appear bigger and awake is using this medieval torture device known as eyelash curler. Having the perfect eyelash curl is essential when you want to trick everyone into thinking that you had a chilled night in catching up on Netflix. This is the quickest and easiest way to get that wide-eyed look and I wouldn’t skip it if I were you – it makes the biggest difference. All you need to do is get the curler as close to the root of the lash as possible and curl. It’s easy peasy and I’m feeling it. My curler of choice is the makeup artists’ beloved Shu Uemura one (here) and it just makes everything a child’s play. It gets the job done perfectly without breaking the hairs as well – hello bigger eyes even on the no-makeup days!

If you want to create faux awake eye look you can’t skip on mascara. End of. Keep your favorite at the ready and apply nice coat to those hairs. Make sure you use lengthening mascara, which also offers a great deal of separation and you are halfway there. Wearing mascara helps massively with bringing your eyes out and opening up the look and helps hold the curl for hours and hours. For a bigger and brighter look I like to max out my lashes with the Benefit They’re Real Mascara (here) as I find that it doesn’t clump my lashes and keeps the hairs long and separated, as well as beautifully voluminous. Love it.

One of my favorite steps to making my eyes look bigger and wide-awake is the good ol’ nude eyeliner trick. When I’m having an ‘I look so dull and tired’ crisis I like to line my waterline with nude eyeliner. It makes world’s biggest difference and instantly makes me look ten times more present. It is the ultimate thing to do when you are after a doe-eyed look, just make sure the kohl is nude and not white as it looks more natural. The nude-y color counteracts any redness and opens up the look, making your eyes appear twice the size. The best nude kohl pencil I’ve tried comes from the drugstore and it’s in the form of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal in Nude (here). It’s cheap as chip but don’t let that fool ya – its waterproof formula is incredible and just glides on, adding the right amount of color and hanging for the whole day. Winner.

How do you make your eyes look bigger and more present? Share your tips in the comments!

Priming With Too Faced

Too Faced Primers

Too Faced Primed and Poreless Powder

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eye Shadow Primer

Too Faced Lip Insurance Lip Primer

Weirdly enough applying primers is one of my favorite steps of doing my makeup. Be it face primer, eye shadow primer or lipstick primer – I just love them all! They just make the biggest difference and not only help your makeup to stay in tact for ages but also create a perfect ‘even canvas’ for your beauty bits to go on top. One of the brands that definitely stand out for me primer wise is definitely Too Faced and here is a little overview of my favorite picks that I use daily.

If you are a large pore sufferer *raises hand* you probably wouldn’t want to skip on your face primer. The one that never fails to make my pores and fine line nowhere to be seen is this Too Faced Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer (here). Its featherlight formula enriched with vitamin C and A makes the skin more supple and hydrated, which is my dry patches’ worst enemy. The primer smoothes the skin and makes it the perfect base for any foundation – they all just blend beautifully and last all day. Perfection.

Another gem from the same range is the Too Faced Primed & Poreless Loose Powder (here). Even though I prefer to use it as a setting powder, rather then as a primer I think it could make a great addition to your stash if you are fan of mineral makeup. Just pop some of this translucent dust of perfection under you foundation and it will erase the appearance of pores and will smooth your skin beautifully and prep it for your favorite mineral foundation. Such a great multitasker!

Moving on to eyes, say hello to my two favorite eye shadow primers of all time – the Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer (here) and the Shadow Insurance Candlelight Primer (here). Basically, they are the same thing when it comes to helping your shadows stay in place for the day without creasing. They are the bomb, I tell you! These get the job done perfectly and you don’t need to worry about awkward crease lines or fading eye shadows – they both just glue the shade to your lids and you are good to go. The Shadow Insurance primers also help the eye shadows look more vibrant and intensify the colors, which I adore. It gets even better - the Candlelight offering also softly illuminates the lids by adding a hint of golden sheen to them. I like to sport it alone to brighten up the look or to use it for its purpose of prepping for eye shadows. Either way – it’s absolutely stunning and the little particles will add a little something to any look.

Ever wanted your favorite lipstick to last from dusk to dawn without smudging or fading? Well I have great news – Too Faced made that possible with their Lip Insurance Lip Primer (here). This bad boy preps your lips and creates the perfect smooth base for your lippy to go on top. When you first apply the product, you need to let it sit for a bit until it gets a bit tacky and then just go with the lipstick of your choice on top and it will set it in place for hours and hours.  Any lipstick will last at least twice as long as it normally would and it will get you through burgers, cocktails, talking and humidity. Brilliant. Lip insurance also smoothes over any imperfections and fine lines and I adore how even and easy the lipstick glides on top. Now this little gem does dry out my lips slightly but it’s nothing too uncomfortable, so I am willing to pull it out for any special occasion when I fancy my lippy to stay in tact for the whole evening.

Have you tried any of these products? Which is your favorite primer?
