Beauty oils have and forever will be my
favorite way to combat the dry and lifeless skin / hair. They seem to have some
magical properties, which never fail to inject moisture into my skin and locks,
making them look healthy and nourished again. Ever since I came out of the
oil-free zone a few years back my hair grew a
lot and my skin no longer looks as if it’s about to crack any minute. I’ve
tried my fair shade of beauty oils and here are the top four that make every day
a pamper and help me leave the flakey, brittle days in the past…
Kicking off the oil talk let me introduce you
the product that has been a staple in my hair care wardrobe for well over two years
and to which I own my now long and happy locks. Basically, the Healing Oil is therapeutic hair oil that
helps repair dry and damaged hair and which rejuvenates and nourishes the
locks. It is by far hands down the best
hair oil I’ve tried and I love the fact that it also offers UV protection and
helps massively with tangles. The Macadamia
Hair Oil Treatment reduces the drying time and tames down the frizz as
well, which is much appreciated. You can mix the oil with your favorite hair masque (here)
for ultimate results and you can use it on both wet and dry hair. This gem
makes my strands super soft and smooth and helps them look polished and healthy.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better then that, let me tell you
that the oil smells good enough to eat and its lightweight formula absorbs
instantly and doesn’t leave any greasy residue. It’s a total winner, ladies –
get involved!
Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil (here)
Meet the very product that has completely
transformed my skin over the past year and which has earned a Holy Grail status
with pretty much the first application! This Clarins Treatment Oil has all my skincare needs sorted and if you
get one product based on my recommendations this should be it. The one I swear
by is Blue Orchid, which is designed
for dehydrated skin but there is also one for dry (here) and one for oily/combination (here). The idea behind these oils is that they help balance
everything out, revitalise and tone the skin, while restoring its natural
radiance. I use Blue Orchid twice a week and three-four drops is all I need for
making my skin deeply hydrated, soft, smooth and healthy-looking. This
overnight miracle in a bottle evens out my skin tone beautifully and instantly
calms down my skin as well. It also makes my not-so-subtle pores nowhere to be
seen and it helps with blemishes as well. It either heals them completely or
brings them to head (gross I know but
it’s true). I’ve noticed that this Clarins facial treatment makes any
scaring that I have fade away quickly, which makes me love it even more. Best. Skincare. Product.
Roger&Gallet Huile Gourmande Fleur de
Figuier Ultra Nourishing Oil*
(here)
I love a good beauty multitasker, so imagine
my excitement when I got this body & hair nourishing oil! This Roger&Gallet gem is supposed to smooth
both your skin and hair and it’s enriched with 96% natural oil mix of grape,
pomegranate, blackcurrant, apricot and sweet almond. It has my soothing,
nourishing and antioxidant needs in check and I adore the way it makes my locks
and skin feel. Its luxurious rich and silky formula is actually featherligh and
sinks in rather fast without leaving oily residue or making me feel sticky. Love. I like to use this beauty in the
morning after my shower and I apply it all over my body and at the ends of my
hair. The oil makes my skin feel silky soft, beautifully nourished and supple. Hello healthy skin! As for my hair.
Roger&Gallet know what they’re doing and my strands get super soft and
glossy on the spot. And you wanna know the best part? Huile Gourmande smells incredible and the irresistible blend of
figs and grapefruit makes my mornings that
much more special and pampering.
L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil (here)
This L’Occitane baby and I go way back and what
can I say – it just makes my skin happy. It’s an in-shower essential for those
days when my skin’s seriously lacking on the hydration front. It’s one of the
most satisfying products to slap on and I love how it takes care of my dry
skin. The oil injects moisture into the skin, making it feel replenished, uber
soft and deeply hydrated. I like to use it after I’ve gone over with my regular
shower gel as I feel like the oil doesn’t have enough cleansing properties on
its own but works wonders in locking the moisture in place. What adds to the
whole spa-esque experience is the oh-so-divine marzipan scent of the Almond Oil,
which is seriously dreamy and relaxing. Go give it a sniff beauties, just go…
Have you tried any of these
products before? Which is your favorite beauty oil?
Lots of love,
Andrea
I love the Body Shop Camomille Silky Cleansing Oil. My favourite makeup remover! Have you tried it?
