L-R: Eastend Snob, Obsession |
Confession time! Lipsticks are no
longer my one true love and they have been replaced by lip liners. There, I said it. But there is just
something that they do to my confidence that no lipstick could ever do and over
the past few months I’ve accumulated quite a few new shades with all sorts of formulas.
The Essence ones (here) are fab, Mac
Soar (here) is blommin’ marvelous
but the ones that I am having a love affair as of late have been these Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liners in Eastend Snob (here) and Obsession (here). And oh boy, they are nice! Allow
me to explain…
These little gems are not only wallet-friendly
but they definitely measure up to my high-end MAC and MUFE bad boys. Formula
wise, they do tick all the boxes. Soft and creamy formula that just glides on? Check. Amazing pigmentation that goes
opaque in just one swipe. Check. No
drying out the lips and leaving them feel comfortable? Double check. With The Rimmel Exaggerate lip liners you don’t have
to worry much about them settling into fine lines or imperfections, although
I’d still advise you to give your lips a quick scrub before you swipe these on.
Oh and when you do – be prepared for at least five hours of picture perfect and
even wash of color. These babies know how
to stay on and not budge! The twist-up applicator actually floats my boat
as well, as I hate everything that I need to sharpen – love.
The Rimmel
Exaggerate lip liners come in various stunning shades but the ones that I
picked up are Eastend Snob and Obsession. If you are after a more
affordable Kylie Jenner lip then you are in for a treat with Eastend Snob. Even though it’s not an exact
dupe of her signature brownish pout, this beauty still has that KJ vibe with
its gorgeous soft mauve pink shade and fully matte finish. It makes the lips
look 10x fuller and plumper and it’s my not-so-secret confidence booster partner
in crime. You can slightly overdraw you lips if that’s something you favor or
you could just follow their natural line but either way – the results are fab
and your lips will look bigger and better! It’s my new favorite nude, that’s for
sure! Obsession on the other hand is
a lovely deep brick red shade, which looks especially beautiful paired with a vampy
red (Rimmel Kate 107 (here), I am
looking at you!). I am a bit over the darker shades and I’m ready to embrace
the spring / summer corals and pinks but I’m sure that when autumn roll around
this baby will be twisted up and swiped on daily. I am head over heels in love
with its matte finish and its complexion-warming benefits and even though I
expected Obsession to be more purple we actually formed a good friendship! So I
guess now it’s the time I urge you to go and pick up a few shades of these
godsend lip miracles, right? Well, you really
need to – they simply rock!
Have you tried the Rimmel
Exaggerate Lip Liners before? Which shade is your favorite?
Lots of love,
Andrea

ReplyDeleteI've purchased Eastend Snob time and time again as it's such a fab colour. I like to team this up with Gosh Darling lipstick or NYX butter gloss in Creme brûlée
ReplyDeleteThey sound like a great budget liner! Are the essence ones as good or no? Great post!

I have Eastend Snob and for some reason the product keeps breaking when off when I apply. I have to agree that it is amazing product and comparable to some higher end lip pencils. Wish they would make this in lipstick form to though.
ReplyDeleteI love your photographer, it's beautiful. Sam xxx

I have the Eastend Snob and I love it. It's a perfect my lips but better shade and is excellent at over lining without it being too obvious.
