So going skiing is fun. But you know what’s
not? Yep, the uber dry, lackluster
skin that I took home with me. I definitely had a mini panic situation going on
when I looked myself in my oh-so-favorite (not)
magnifying mirror. The sight was scary enough to be featured in any horror
movie, so actions needed to be taken asap. I rummaged through my stash, digging
out all products that had ‘moisture’ written on them and a SOS-pamper was the
plan for the night.
It’s not a proper pamper sesh without having
a bath, am I right ladies? My sore muscles could definitely use a little soak
and since I was in a mood for something uplifting and relaxing the Aromatherapy Associates Inner Strength Oil
(here) was called to the reuse. I’ve
accumulated quite a few minis of this divine product and I’ve been absolutely
loving its calming and soothing properties. The beautiful spa-like vapors
instantly distress and help fight both the physical and mental fatigue – love. When it comes to aromatherapy mixed with the
benefits of a fantastic skincare product you really can’t beat the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing
Balm (here). This not only
smells heavenly and relaxes me on the spot but it also cleanses and moisturizes
the skin beautifully, leaving it feel balanced, calm and silky soft, so on my
face it went…
Shower done. Now it was time for the most
excessive skincare session I’ve ever had but oh boy, did my skin feel
incredible the morning after! First, to help brighten up and exfoliate my skin
I applied the GlamGlow Youthmud Mask
(here) all over my face and I was
hoping for a miracle. And ten minutes later it happened – I swear my skin
looked 10x more radiant and glowing, my pores were minimized and my complexion
was even, toned and beautifully soft to the touch. This gem is my new best
friend and a full size jar of it will be joining the family soon, it’s that good. In order to deeply moisturize
and replenish my skin I decided to treat myself to a 10-minute mask and I used
my beloved Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus
Moisturizing Cream Mask* (here /
review). It didn’t fail to completely
sort out those unflattering après-ski dry patches I was having on my cheeks and
I love how luminous, smooth and hydrated my skin felt afterwards.
After I wiped off the mask with a damp
cotton pad I went ahead and rubbed in a few drops of The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil (here / review) on my skin. It is my favorite budget-friendly skincare
product and it just ticks all the boxes. It does a fab job at deeply
moisturizing the skin and it’s perfect for all skin types and I especially love
using it when my skin is lacking on the hydration front. The blend of all sorts
of beneficial oils is the best treat for my skin and I like that the product
absorbs instantly and feels really lightweight. To lock in the moisture I then went
all over my face and neck with my Antipodes
Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream* (here).
This is heavy-duty stuff and I only use it when my skin screams ‘dehydration’.
It is quite a thick and rich cream, enriched with avocado pear oil, manuka
honey and grapeseeds extract and it not only has antioxidant benefits but it
also injects moisture like there is no tomorrow. My skin literally drank this
stuff and it felt so hydrated, smooth and repaired the next morning. Mission accomplished - bye bye dull skin!
Now that my skincare was all slapped on, I
needed to take care of my hands and upper body. My skin was extremely dry and
almost chapped at places, so I slathered some of the Antipodes Jubiliation Hand & Body Cream* (here). Let’s admit it – this is not world’s most deliciously
scented cream but the blend of super-fruit kiwi seed oil, feijoa and wild
blackcurrant works a treat and it instantly calmed the redness, nourished the
skin and made it look and feel decent again. And now it comes the fun part –
painting my nails! Ski trip is done, March is upon us and that means one thing
– it’s time to put all the dark nail shades away and embrace the brighter, more
vibrant colors. And what better way to do so then paint my tips with one of the
prettiest Essie shades I own? Mint Candy
Apple (here / review) has ‘Spring’ written all over
it and the gorgeous aqua blue / mint shade always makes me happy and excited
for the warmer weather. Roll on spring!
Have you tried any of these
products before? Which is your top favorite pampering product?
Lots of love,
Andrea
