|L-R: Platinum, Royal Gold, Renaissance Gold, Antique Bronze|
Note to self: I change my mind about makeup. And I change it a lot. A few years back highlighters were almost non-existent in my collection and recently it’s all I’ve been buying. The most recent addition to my stash comes from Sleek with their Precious Metals Highlighting Palette (here) and I am smitten, period. I do love some good Sleek makeup and this little quad has made my beauty-loving heart beat a little bit too fast. Allow me to explain…
Actually, do I have to? Just look at this beauty! It’s every highlight fan’s best friend and I just cannot leave the house for a night out without some of the shades gracing my cheekbones. Housed in a cute little mirrored metallic compact are four stunning shades and we have three creams and one powder. There is also a mini brush thrown in for a good measure but truth be told I prefer sticking to my fingers with this one. The Precious Metals palette captured my heart with how shiny and shimmery it is and it definitely gives me the summer vibes. Golden goddess look made easy right here!
If you are after adding a touch of faux-glow to your complexion I suggest you look this way ladies. The palette is absolutely brilliant quality and all shades feel really luxurious on the skin. They blend in nicely and practically melt into the skin, making them a breeze to apply. I like to dab them on with my fingertips for most natural finish and I love that the creams don’t seep into pores and just illuminate the skin. The shades are pigmented enough to add healthy glow to the complexion and brighten everything up without making you look as if you’re headed to a fancy dress party, which is exactly what I fancy. Just make sure you don’t put too much on and you’ll be left with beautifully enhanced complexion.
The four shades of the Precious Metals palette are Platinum, Royal Gold, Renaissance Gold and Antique Bronze and I use and love them all to bits. Platinum is a lovely shade to use under your brow bone as it just ‘lifts the brows’ by adding a subtle sheen. I also love using it as inner corner highlight and its pearly shade instantly opens up the look. Love. Royal Gold and Renaissance Gold look rather similar on my skin with the only difference that Royal Gold is more shimmery. They are both this beautiful rose gold-ish shade that gives all the right amounts of sun-kissed glow and I love running the two babes along the tops of my cheeks and down the bridge of my nose for some added glow. I feel like they do make me look a bit more tan and I love their complexion-warming benefits. Last but certainly not least we have Antique Bronze, which is the only powder in the quad and I love its shimmery bronze shade. It’s obviously too dark for me to use as highlight but I love dusting it all over my décolleté area when I want to look extra sun kissed. It also looks fab dusted all over my eyelids and I love how the shimmers reflect the light – it’s beaut!
Have you tried the Sleek Precious Metals Highlighting Palette yet?
Lots of love,
