Someone please explain to me how it’s nearly August now? Crazy! I swear I still wear my Christmas leggings and literally refuse to wrap my head around the fact we are in the second half of 2015 already eek. On a different note though, 2015 has been a total treat in the beauty department so far and I’ve discovered some gems that I don’t seem to be able to put down. I’ve managed to narrow them down to five and the list goes as follows… Oh, and keep your beauty wishlist at the ready ladies because you may want to add these, they rock!
You are all probably tired of me raving about the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob (here / review) but it’s the product that literally has been glued to my lips over the post six months. It’s what I’ve been sporting nearly everyday and it’s definitely earned the top spot in this post. Eastend Snob has been a total game changer and its ability to reshape my lips and make them look 10x bigger and plumper definitely gets big thumb up from me. It does something to my confidence and its beautiful pinky nude shade is so flattering and I love that it doesn’t wash me out as most nudes do. The formula is a winner also and it goes on smooth, feels hydrating and stays put for some serious five-six hours. The only down size to it is that I find it runs out pretty quickly but that’s probably due to the fact that I use it way more than I probably should. Having said that, I am ordering my fifth tube as we speak. The obsession is real.
Another product that completely blew me away recently and which I never leave the house without nowadays is the No7 Instant Illusions Rapid Radiance Balm (here / review). It’s the better and cheaper alternative to the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm (here) and I am smitten by the way it perfects my skin. It eliminates all signs of fatigue and the beautiful balm instantly adds life and light into my skin. It has beautiful sheeny finish, which is nowhere near glittery or shiny and it’s perfect to apply pre-foundation for those of you who fancy incorporating some radiance into your complexion. I don’t think it specifically prolongs the foundation wartime but it definitely preps and hydrates the skin, as well as smooths over any pores and imperfections. Love.
I’ve always fancied adding some glow and warmth to my ever-so-pale face but I’ve been super scared to put any kind of self-tanner on because my skin is rather sensitive. The Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster (here) was the answer to my prayers though and now I feel like a new woman. All you need to do is put a few drops of the concentrate in your moisturizer and within several hours it develops into beautiful and super natural-looking sun kissed glow. I got asked on multiple occasions if I just go back from holiday, which says it all honestly. The tan does fade within a couple of days though but the booster is so easy to use and doesn’t irritate my skin, so I don’t mind that at all. If you’re after having beautifully tanned complexion that screams healthy and looks natural, this is the product to check out ladies. It’s a godsend. Just make sure you wash your hands after you apply your moisturizer – orange palms are not a cute look.
I take my mascaras rather seriously and if you know me you’d know that this is a pretty bold statement but here it goes: I think I find my dream mascara. Benefit know what they are doing mascara wise we all know that but they really hit the nail on the head with the launch of Roller Lash* (here). We instantly bonded and this gem is everything I want in mascara, and more. It separates really well, holds curl for ages, doesn’t clump or smudge, applies like a dream and the way is lengthens and volumeizes is insane. I really cannot find a fault and now that my mini is almost run out it’s time I invested in the full size, which means that review is coming your way very soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
Have you ever fallen in love with a perfume? Well, I have recently and the love affair is getting stronger and stronger each day. Chloe Eau de Parfum (here) I love you! I dream about you, I miss you like crazy when you’re not with me and I seriously want to marry you! No, but seriously guys – the addiction is real and this has definitely become my new ‘signature scent’. If I was a perfume that’s how I’d smell like – fresh, feminine and sophisticated with a touch of playfulness thrown in for good measure. The notes of pink peony, freesia, litchi and rose are beautifully combined and I find the fragrance quite untraditional, yet elegant and daring. It is perfect for both day and night wear and I can clearly see myself rocking it all year round. Chloe Eau de Parfum is one of the longest-lasting perfumes I own and the amount of compliments I get when I wear it sums it up pretty well. Go give it a sniff. Just go. It is seriously intoxicating.
Have you tried any of these products before? Which is your favorite?
