I am not the biggest eyeshadow wearer out there and quite frankly for the most part I couldn’t really be bothered to go for the full-on eye makeup look. I am definitely more of the lazy type when it comes to doing my eyes, so I am always on the hunt for one of those ‘slap on and head out the door’ products. The Kiko Eyeshadow Sticks (currently on offer here) are definitely the ones in that respect and I love them to bits. They are completely foolproof and uber fast and faff-free to use, whilst still manage to be rather beautiful and eye-catching indeed. Allow me to explain…
The Kiko Eyeshadow Sticks definitely rock when it comes to the formula. They just glide on smoothly without any dragging or pulling involved and also feel very luxurious and lightweight on the lids. They are super creamy, do not smudge and the best part is that they are completely crease-free even on my slightly oily eyelids with no primer needed. Score. The shadows blend like a dream but you need to work fast because once they set, they stay. When Kiko say that these bad boys are long lasting they are not kidding. They just sit patiently on your lids without any budging, waiting for you to wipe them away at the end of the day. The fab twist-up packaging makes everything even more brilliant and add to the overall high-end feel of the sticks. These wallet-friendly gems come in 32 beautiful shades and I am smitten by the two I have.
They are both really rich in pigmentation and go beautifully opaque in one go. The good thing is that you can definitely build them up or down depending on the look you’re after and both shades have metallic / sparkly finish. My natural everyday eye makeup needs would’ve probably preferred for the sticks to be slightly less shimmer-heavy but I can easily mute them down by adding some matte shadows on top. My favorite shade of the two is #6 Golden Brown (here) and I am all about its bronzy shade. It’s the perfect speedy smokey eye companion and it’s been keeping me great company on my most recent nights out where tons of compliments were received. As for #7 Golden Beige (here) what can I say – it’s the most perfect inner corner highlight. Its champagne-y gold color is absolutely beautiful but the shade is a bit too glitter-laden for my all-over-the-lid likes. I can picture it looking rather divine during Christmas paired with a red lip though. For the time being, however, it is being used to help brighten up my inner eye area and let me tell you- it works a total treat. Bye bye tired eyes.
Have you tried the Kiko Eyeshadow Sticks yet? Which shades tickle your fancy the most?
Lots of love,
