Essence Lip Liners Swatches
L-R: Wish Me A Rose, Satin Mauve, Soft Berry, Cute Pink, Honey Berry, Femme Fatale
A year ago lip liners were quite the unknown territory for me. I didn’t think they do anything that special, so I was sticking to lipsticks and swiped them on bare lips. Fast forward to the present and I cannot be more addicted to these godsend pencils. They define the lips and make them appear fuller and plumper, they help you reshape & overdraw them if you fancy (cheating the system Kylie Jenner-style) or if that’s not your forte then you can just pop them underneath a lipstick and they will prevent it from bleeding and will prolong its wear time. Lovely, I know! So the moral of the story? I change my mind, which evidently is a good thing! And the product line that has converted me to a full-time lip liner wearer? Yep, you guessed it – the Essence Lip Liners (here).

I’ve banged on about these drugstore gems on multiple occasions on Twitter (find me here) but they deserve a tale on their own here on RosyChicc as well. So let’s gush about the formula for a minute, shall we? All the desired adjectives apply when it comes to the Essence lip liners and they simply rock. They feel really comfortable on and are extremely moisturizing and buttery, they hug every curve of the lips beautifully and glide on like charm. They feel silky soft and blend effortlessly and the best part is that unlike most lip liners on the market these bad boys don’t dry out the lips and don’t accentuate imperfections. Brilliant. The Essence lip liners hang around for about four hours if worn on their own and have gorgeous satin-y finish, which is simply to die for.

Essence offer nine lip liner shades in total, from which I have six but be sure that my collection will be complete in no time haha. Regardless of the shade you go for though, you are in for a treat; they are all gorgeous colors with beautiful pigmentation. And they go as follows: Wish Me A Rose is a lovely nude rosy pink, perfect for an everyday look, especially if paired with your favorite pinky nude lippy. Satin Mauve is my absolute favorite of the bunch and I’ve been sporting it on its own for months. I adore its medium mauve shade with purple undertones – it gives me the Kylie Jenner vibes and compliments my skin tone beautifully. Soft Berry is another shade I’m smitten by and its brownish nude with berry hues turn you into a retro bombshell on the spot and you can see it in action here. Cute Pink looks rather similar to Wish Me A Rose but it’s a touch darker, which I actually prefer. Honey Berry is a shade you need in your life if you are a fuchsia berry lipstick wearer and it looks bloomin’ marvelous paired with MAC Rebel (here). Last but not least we have Femme Fatale, which is a gorgeous classic red shade and it’s the perfect companion for a red lip lover. Beautiful!

Have you tried the Essence lip liners? Which if your favorite shade?

Lots of love,
Andrea

NYX Tea Rose Matte Lipstick / Review

NYX Tea Rose Matte Lipstick

NYX Tea Rose Matte Lipstick

NYX Tea Rose Matte Lipstick

NYX Tea Rose Matte Lipstick Swatch

The NYX Matte lipstick range and I go way back and ever since I confessed my love for Indie Flick (here) I wanted to get my mittens on some other shades. And then just when I didn’t need any more lipsticks in my life I found myself browsing through the NYX website and two minutes later Tea Rose (here) was added to my shopping card. Even though I’m not your typical nude-y pink lip wearer, this little gem and I really bonded. Its gorgeous mauve pink shade peps up my skin tone beautifully and I adore how sophisticated and chic it looks. Tea Rose is a lovely everyday kinda a lippy and just adds a touch of color, making me look extra feminine and polished. This beaut is one of those shades that suit everyone and it’s equally stunning slapped on with smoke eye or natural makeup. It’s a goodie and if you’re after nice subtle pink-y pout Tea Rose is your guy.

Formula wise, NYX lipsticks are possibly my favorite on the high-street and their Matte range gets my stamp of approval as well. They don’t break the bank, yet have all my lipstick needs in check. Tea Rose has beautiful buttery texture that just glides on and feels cushiony soft. There is no drying involved and the lippy applies evenly and doesn’t settle into fine lines. Although Tea Rose is supposed to have matte finish, I’d say it falls into the satin category and has lovely sheen to it, which I adore. What I adore even more though is amazing pigmentation and richness of the lippy – one swipe and you’re ready to head out the door. Score. The only thing about Tea Rose that doesn’t float my boat is the longevity. It hangs around for about two hours, which for a matte lipstick isn’t that impressive. Apart from that though – I am sold.

Have you tried Tea Rose before? Which is your go-to mauve pink lipstick?

Lots of love,
Andrea

Four Beauty Oils You Need In Your Life

Beauty Oils: Macadamia Healing Treatment Oil, Roger&Gallet Body and Hair Oil, Clarins Blue Orchid Treatment Oil, L'Occitan Almond Shower Oil

Beauty Oils: Macadamia Healing Treatment Oil, Roger&Gallet Body and Hair Oil, Clarins Blue Orchid Treatment Oil, L'Occitan Almond Shower Oil

Beauty oils have and forever will be my favorite way to combat the dry and lifeless skin / hair. They seem to have some magical properties, which never fail to inject moisture into my skin and locks, making them look healthy and nourished again. Ever since I came out of the oil-free zone a few years back my hair grew a lot and my skin no longer looks as if it’s about to crack any minute. I’ve tried my fair shade of beauty oils and here are the top four that make every day a pamper and help me leave the flakey, brittle days in the past…

Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment (review // here)
Kicking off the oil talk let me introduce you the product that has been a staple in my hair care wardrobe for well over two years and to which I own my now long and happy locks. Basically, the Healing Oil is therapeutic hair oil that helps repair dry and damaged hair and which rejuvenates and nourishes the locks. It is by far hands down the best hair oil I’ve tried and I love the fact that it also offers UV protection and helps massively with tangles. The Macadamia Hair Oil Treatment reduces the drying time and tames down the frizz as well, which is much appreciated. You can mix the oil with your favorite hair masque (here) for ultimate results and you can use it on both wet and dry hair. This gem makes my strands super soft and smooth and helps them look polished and healthy. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better then that, let me tell you that the oil smells good enough to eat and its lightweight formula absorbs instantly and doesn’t leave any greasy residue. It’s a total winner, ladies – get involved!

Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil (here)
Meet the very product that has completely transformed my skin over the past year and which has earned a Holy Grail status with pretty much the first application! This Clarins Treatment Oil has all my skincare needs sorted and if you get one product based on my recommendations this should be it. The one I swear by is Blue Orchid, which is designed for dehydrated skin but there is also one for dry (here) and one for oily/combination (here). The idea behind these oils is that they help balance everything out, revitalise and tone the skin, while restoring its natural radiance. I use Blue Orchid twice a week and three-four drops is all I need for making my skin deeply hydrated, soft, smooth and healthy-looking. This overnight miracle in a bottle evens out my skin tone beautifully and instantly calms down my skin as well. It also makes my not-so-subtle pores nowhere to be seen and it helps with blemishes as well. It either heals them completely or brings them to head (gross I know but it’s true). I’ve noticed that this Clarins facial treatment makes any scaring that I have fade away quickly, which makes me love it even more. Best. Skincare. Product.

Roger&Gallet Huile Gourmande Fleur de Figuier Ultra Nourishing Oil* (here)
I love a good beauty multitasker, so imagine my excitement when I got this body & hair nourishing oil! This Roger&Gallet gem is supposed to smooth both your skin and hair and it’s enriched with 96% natural oil mix of grape, pomegranate, blackcurrant, apricot and sweet almond. It has my soothing, nourishing and antioxidant needs in check and I adore the way it makes my locks and skin feel. Its luxurious rich and silky formula is actually featherligh and sinks in rather fast without leaving oily residue or making me feel sticky. Love. I like to use this beauty in the morning after my shower and I apply it all over my body and at the ends of my hair. The oil makes my skin feel silky soft, beautifully nourished and supple. Hello healthy skin! As for my hair. Roger&Gallet know what they’re doing and my strands get super soft and glossy on the spot. And you wanna know the best part? Huile Gourmande smells incredible and the irresistible blend of figs and grapefruit makes my mornings that much more special and pampering.

L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil (here)
This L’Occitane baby and I go way back and what can I say – it just makes my skin happy. It’s an in-shower essential for those days when my skin’s seriously lacking on the hydration front. It’s one of the most satisfying products to slap on and I love how it takes care of my dry skin. The oil injects moisture into the skin, making it feel replenished, uber soft and deeply hydrated. I like to use it after I’ve gone over with my regular shower gel as I feel like the oil doesn’t have enough cleansing properties on its own but works wonders in locking the moisture in place. What adds to the whole spa-esque experience is the oh-so-divine marzipan scent of the Almond Oil, which is seriously dreamy and relaxing. Go give it a sniff beauties, just go…

Have you tried any of these products before? Which is your favorite beauty oil?

Lots of love,
Andrea

Violet It Up With MAC Heroine

MAC Heroine rosychicc blog

MAC Heroine lipstick

MAC Heroine lipstick

MAC Heroine lipstick

If you are a regular reader here on RosyChicc, you would know that when it comes to my lipstick choices I don’t discriminate. No matter how bright and bold a lipstick is I’ll have it and chances are – I will love it too. And the shockingly bold (and equally beautiful) MAC Heroine (here) is the living proof. Ever since I got if a few weeks back, it’s been twisted up and swiped on too many times to count and even though it gets the occasional judgy looks from my grandma I adore it. I feel like it reflects my personality perfectly and if I were a lipstick I’d definitely be Heroine…

With Heroine, you either love it or hate it and I definitely seem to be in love with it. The super unique bright violet purple shade of Heroine is what leaves me smitten every time I swipe it across my lips. It is bold and daring and definitely has a certain edge to it but at the same time it’s fun and stylish. Heroine is ideal when you want to break from the mainstream nudes and reds and it definitely does something to my confidence. It is the perfect companion for us green-eyed ladies too as it makes the color of the eyes pop beautifully. If you don’t fancy going full-on purple pout then I have good news and you can actually build down the shade to a more sheer violet-y veil of color, which is just as stunning. Love.

Heroine is branded as a matte but I’d say that it has more of a satin finish. It definitely has a slight sheen to it and the creamy consistency is what makes me love it even more. The lippy applies like a dream with no trace of drying or clinging into fine lines. Also, there is no awkward fading or bleeding in different areas, which gets big thumbs up from me! Pigmentation wise, Heroine rocks and you need one swipe to get full-blown and even color. The 3-4 hour longevity of this beauty is great considering how smooth and soft it actually is. So my final verdict? Heroine is a good’un and if you fancy going out of your comfort zone and dipping your toe into the violet / purple lip pool this gem’s a must!

Have you tried Heroine before? How do you like it? Would you sport a shade like this?

Lots of love,
Andrea

Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Brush Set / Review

Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Brush Set

Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Brush Set - face brushes

Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Brush Set - eye brushes

Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Brush Set

I am sure you’ve all heard about the oh-so-gorgeous Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Brush Set (here or here) by now. These little gems have taken over the beauty world and Instagram recently and after some serious swooning I took the plunge and placed my order. And I am smitten. All brushes have beautiful quality, perform incredibly well and the stunning design is everything a rose gold lover could ever dream of.

The Zoeva brushes tick all the boxes – they are super soft, easy to control, apply and blend products beautifully, wash well and have an amazing luxury feel to them. They definitely measure up to my MAC bad boys but are basically a fraction of the price. The Rose Golden set comes with eight brushes (five for face & three for eyes) and are made with both natural and synthetic taklon bristles. The brushes are housed in a gorgeous faux leather travel bag, which is such a lovely touch. Here is a quick rundown of all brushes and you might want to keep your wallet at the ready. You know -just in case.

106 / Powder (here)
This brush is designed to make the application of both loose and pressed powder a breeze. However, due to its somewhat longer, too flexible and pointed bristles I don’t find that it actually works as good for all over setting powder application – it just doesn’t seem to be doing much for me. I do love it for dusting bronzer down my neck or with my Guerlain Meteorites though. It disturbs the product evenly and I love how ridiculously soft and gentle it is.

102 / Silk Finish (here)
I never thought I’d find a foundation brush that would bump my beloved Sigma F80 (review) off the top spot but miracles do happen and Silk Finish is the living proof. It is definitely my favorite brush of the bunch and I adore the way it applies and blends my liquid foundation. It offers the quickest and easiest application and the results blow me away every time – even high coverage, natural-looking flawless finish that looks as if I’ve spent hours airbrushing my skin of Photoshop. Big thumbs up and it’s not only the softest brush I’ve stumbled upon but I also love that it picks up the perfect amount of product without wasting tons of foundation. Definitely one to check out ladies!

110 / Face Shape (here)
This baby is the mini version of Silk Finish and it could be used for more precise makeup application or for contouring. I mainly use it for the latter and it creates the perfect shadow under my cheekbones, especially used with cream bronzer (Bourjois Bronzing Primer or Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel work a treat). Again, it is uber soft and blends product seamlessly. Love.

127 / Luxe Sheer Cheek (here)
Say hello to the perfect blush brush you’ll ever see in your life! This angled shape godsend brush is made with the softest natural bristles and packs all the right amounts of color. It is practically a dupe for the MAC 168 (here) and it hugs the cheekbones perfectly, making it an ideal companion for the application of your favorite blush, bronzer and highlight. Luxe Sheer Cheek turns my cheekbones from almost non-existent to oh-so-high and modelesque on the spot. The only reason this baby comes second after Silk Finish in my favorites list though is because it tends to shed a bit but apart from that it rocks and I couldn’t recommend it enough.

142 / Concealer Buffer (here)
It’s official - I am never applying concealer with my fingers again! Not after seeing the miracles this brush works! Not only that it is super soft and gentle but it also gives high coverage and blends concealer so seamlessly – no lines or strokes! I use the Concealer Buffer to blend the concealer under my eyes, around my nose and on my chin and it is such a dream to use. I am smitten.

227 / Luxe Soft Definer (here)
MAC 217 dupe alert!! If you ever wanted to get your mitts to the much adored MAC 217 brush (here) or you were hoping to find a much softer alternative, you’ve come to the right place and 227 Soft definer is the brush you need in your life. It is easily the best eyeshadow brush I own and it is such a little mulitasker – it is the perfect crease brush and I love how beautifully it packs and blends out color whilst being really gentle. Bye bye harsh lines, hello professional eye makeup application!

231 / Luxe Petite Crease (here)
I am yet to fall head over heels in love with this brush but I can imagine that if you are a serious smokey eye wearer you’ll adore this. Petite Crease is a tiny tapered crease brush and helps you accentuate the socket, create very defined crease and outer V. Since smokey eye and I meet at rare occasions, I tend to use Petite Crease for applying eyeshadow under my lower lash line or placing some in the inner corner of my eye for some brightening effect.

317 / Wing Liner (here)
Out of all brushes in the set, Wing Liner is the brush that gets the least use from me. I was hoping that this lil’ angled brush would be my brows’ new best friend but because of the fact that its bristles are too long and bendy the brush lacks precision and it’s not ideal for brows. However, if you’re a gel eyeliner type a gal (unfortunately I like my liquid liner better) this baby will help you nail the perfect cat eye, creating precise line and beautiful flick. It’s tried and tested.

Have you tried any of the brushes in this set? Which one would you like to try?

Lots of love,
Andrea

The Winter Foundation Menu

winter foundations chanel vitalumiere aqua, rimmel wake me up, Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover

winter foundations chanel vitalumiere aqua, rimmel wake me up, Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover

Winter likes to take its toll on my skin every year without a fail and I’m often left with lackluster, dull and extremely dehydrated skin. Not a cute look, so I like to change up my foundation routine slightly when the colder months roll around. I like my fuller coverage all year round but in winter the glowy and healthy finish if what I look for in my base companions. I do count on it to make me look presentable and like a human again. Having said that, today I decided to give a little shout-out to my top three glow-giving winter foundations housed in my base drawer and the list goes as follows…

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (here)
If you are a regular round these parts, I’m sure you’re all familiar with my raves of this gem, so I shall be quick. Vitalumiere Aqua is my all time favorite foundation and it ticks all the boxes. It’s one of those ‘one product to do all’ bases as it blurs imperfections, illuminates the skin, stays on for hours and hours and blends seamlessly into the skin. It gives that flawless healthy look that I’m after but at the same time it feels featherlight and doesn’t cling to imperfections. I like to apply it with my Sigma F80 (review) or Zoeva 102 Sink Finish (here) brushes and it works a total treat.

Rimmel Wake Me Up (here)
The glow-injecting properties of this anti-fatigue foundation are what make it a favorite wintertime pick. The really finely milled shimmer particles running through Wake Me Up add light to the skin, making it look fresh, bright and healthy. It’s like a complexion cheerleader and the instant pick-me-up results make it my safest bet on days when my skin is particularly dull and lifeless. Wake Me Up looks extremely natural on, almost like a second layer of skin and its incredible medium-to-full coverage makes all blemishes and imperfections nowhere to be seen. The foundation hangs around from dusk till dawn and photographs gorgeously as well. I can’t fault it and I can wholeheartedly label it the best drugstore foundation I’ve tried. It’s definitely one to check out, ladies!

Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover (review // here)
Okay, I cheated with this one slightly as it doesn’t give that lovely dewy finish I’m after but I like to slap on some of the L’Oreal Lumi Magique Primer (review) prior application and I adore the way these two work together and  illuminate my skin. On its own HD Invisible Cover has more of a matte finish and I reach for it when I’m after a full coverage foundation; it is my bad skin day little rescuer. It is one of those foundations, which you need the tiniest amount of and it will cover everything with no concealer needed. It still manages to look really natural and I love how nicely it blends. The longevity of this HD base doesn’t fall short either and it stays put until you say so. This flash photography-ready gem is also my special occasion bbf and I love how beautifully is photographs. My only bugbear is that it tens to cling to dry patches, so I always make sure my skin is well prepped and moisturized when I wear it.

Have you tried any of these foundations? Which is you go-to wintertime base product?

Lots of love,
Andrea

The Kylie Jenner Lip // MAC Soar Lip Liner

MAC Soar Lip Liner The Kylie Jenner Lip

MAC Soar Lip Liner

MAC Soar Lip Liner The Kylie Jenner Lip

MAC Soar Lip Liner The Kylie Jenner Lip

MAC Soar Lip Liner Kylie Jenner

MAC Soar Lip Liner The Kylie Jenner Lip

Let’s get honest for a moment – I never thought that I would ever be this fond of a mauve brown lip liner but what can I say – the whole Kylie Jenner lip craze got me in the mood to rock the 90s lip, so picking up miss Jenner’s signature lip product was only a matter of time. After searching high and low for some good two months, trying to find what feels like to be the fastest selling lip liner in the history, I eventually managed to get my mitts on it. And let me just tell you – Soar (here) was well worth the wait. This flattering mid tone pinkish brown gem is bloomin’ marvelous! It is subtle, yet daring and somehow manages to draw the attention straight to the lips with numerous compliments to follow. It has the magic ability to make me feel 10x more confident and feminine and from what I’ve seen it does make anyone look like they’re the perfect fit for the Kardashian family (bombshells with sultry makeup and all that). Soar is a full-on lip product on its own and I like to fill my lips with it and sport it on its own Kylie Jenner style. It could also be paired with a darker nude (I adore Brave) for a softer finish.

As any other MAC lip liner, Soar does a fantastic job at defining the lips and making them appear fuller and plumper. I adore its matte, non-budging and non-drying formula and the soft and creamy texture is what makes Soar that much better. It also has brilliant color pay-off and one coat is all you need with no dragging or pulling the lips involved. This baby is long wearing enough to satisfy my no-touchup needs and I only suggest you give your lips a nice scrub before application since Soar likes to settle into fine lines. Apart from that, I can’t really find a fault – it’s incredible and has already made its way into my everyday makeup bag. Get hunting ladies, this beauty is a must!

Have you tried Soar? It is a shade you can see yourself wearing?

Lots of love,
Andrea

It’s Haul Time

So this happened. I don’t really have an excuse but in my defense I’ll say that some of these were gifts and plus, aren’t all beauty counters that much more exciting during the holidays? With all the fairy lights and festive mood around the shops they just lure you and make you want everything. I blame it on that, yes. And of course then the vouchers get involved and you just have to go back again and pick some more stuff and then there is the Christmas sales and you have to have a look at those bits and then… you know how it goes… I admit it though - I did get slightly carried away this year but hey, I am a beauty blogger, I need products to share with you and this is my justification. At least that’s what I like to tell myself haha. So here is what I got over the last couple of weeks: We have an excessive amount of lip products (call the lipstick rehab and send help asap!), a gorgeous set of rose gold brushes *swoon*, some beaut nail polishes and more…

Starting off with some skin care and body bits, I finally got my mitts on some First Aid Beauty products. I got their Fab Set (here) and I already tried the cleanser and the Facial Radiance Pads – love. I decided to give the brand Apivita a try and their Face Mask with Green Clay (here) got my eye. It’ made of 88% natural ingredients and I tried one sachet and it’s lovely. It really reminds me of my beloved Superfacialist Clay Mask and it left my skin feel clean and decongested. When I saw a mini of the famous GlamGlow Youth mask (here) it was a no brainer and I popped it in my basket. I haven’t used it yet but knowing how much I adore the Supermud one (review), my expectations and high. For body, I got the Aromatherapy Associates The Star and it comes with my favorite Inner Strength Bath & Shower Oil (here). I adore these little bath oils as they are always so relaxing and pampering. Another quite luxurious body product I couldn’t resist getting is the L’occitane Almond Shower Oil (here), which I’ve been loving for years. It smells divine and injects moisture into my skin, making it feel supple and beautifully hydrated. It’s a winter must-have.

Keeping with the lovely-smelling things theme, Dior stroke again and made me fall head over heel in love with their Hypnotic Poison fragrance (here). It was a love at first sniff and the sweet vanilla notes of the perfume ensured it a safe landing in my shopping basket. This gem has written feminine and sophisticated all over and I’ve been using it every single day since I got it. It smells bloomin’ beautiful.

My favorite purchase of the bunch is without a doubt this gorgeous Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Set (here). I’ve been wanting to try their brushes for ages and they didn’t disappoint. The quality is insane – the bristles are incredibly soft, pack product well and are a dream to use. A review of the set is coming your way very soon but as a little sneak peak I’ll just tell you that my heart is set on the 102/Silk Finish one (here). Best. Foundation. Brush. Ever.

My cheeks will be one happy pair from now on. Ever since a friend of mine got me this giant Sephora Bronzer my face has been nicely contoured and the Revlon Highlighting Palette in Rose Glow (here) has been beautifully illuminating my cheekbones. The MAC Dame blush (here) is patiently sitting on my dressing table, ready to be photographed and I can’t wait to dust this cool-toned pink beauty it on the apples of my cheeks! The star of the show though comes from Guerlain with their oh-so-popular Meteorites in Clair 02 (here). These little pearls of perfection are too good to be described in one sentence, so you’ll have to wait for the full review but let me tell you a little secret – they are literally like Photoshop in makeup form. LOVE.

I did cheat on my beloved Essie nail polishes this time but I fancied a little change. My weakness this time came from the Estee Lauder and YSL counters and I couldn’t walk away without picking some of their fab shades. Estee Lauder’s Insolent Plum (here) was glued to my tips for a week and I adore its burgundy shade with a hint of plum. The two YSL gems are #39 Beige Gallery (here) and #16 Mauve Naif (here). I’m currently sporting the latter and I cannot stop staring at my nails – gorgeous. Since I’m having a moment with blue tips at the moment it seemed only appropriate to finally treat myself to the iconic Nails Inc. Baker Street (here). It’s in the old packaging for some reason but who cares – just look at that shade!! I’ve been wanting to try the Maybelline Super Stay Gel Nail Color for a while and when I saw Midnight Blue (here) I decided to give it a try. It’s a shade I haven’t seen before but the lovely blue-ish sheen immediately caught my eye. To set all my nail laquers in place, I picked a new bottle of my trusty Sally Hansen Double Duty Base & Top Coat (here // review), which I adore.

I told you I had lip product problem and here is the aftermath… Kicking off the lip talk, I thought I’d start by announcing that I finally have the pleasure of owning MAC Soar Lip Pencil (here). If you’ve been caught in the Kylie Jenner lip craze you know that this beauty has been sold out for months and I still can’t believe my luck that I found it. It is everything I’d hoped for it to be, and more. It will be reviewed it details next week, so stay tuned! My lovely friend Antoinette (check out her incredible blog here) treated me to my first Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss in the shade Pirate (here). It’s the most stunning classic red and the non-sticky, long lasting formula blew me away! My lips have been rather dry recently, so the purchase of new lip balm was in order. I got the Apivita Lip Care with Black Currant (here) since I liked the fact that it’ made of 99% natural ingredients. We didn’t bond though as it is too emollient and its hydrating properties are almost non-existent. The one I knew I’d be fond of, however, is the Korres Lip Butter in Wild Rose (here). My love for these little pots is infinite and I love how moisturizing and buttery they feel on the lips.

Now for the exciting part – lipsticks! I went a bit overboard but I’ve no regrets haha. They are all too pretty and the only problem is that I can’t use them until I take photos of them *insert crying emoji* (bonus points for the good beauty blogger!). I can’t seem to be able to stay away from the YSL Rouge Volupte lippies and #11 Rose Culte (here) is a shade I’ve been trying to hunt down for yonks. Its bright fuchsia pink is right up my street. Then for more nude options I went straight to the NYX website and got Tea Rose (here) and Whipped Caviar (here) from their Matte range. Haven’t tried Whipped Caviar yet but Tea Rose is a gorgeous mauve pink, which peps up my skin tone beautifully. MAC seems to be always a good idea and three lipsticks in my bag went. I got Brave (again, blame it on the Kyle Jenner hype), Costa Chic (that peachy coral though!) and Heroine (here) - I am downright in love with that daring purple. Last but definitely not least, I treated myself to a Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in Melodieuse (here). From the beautiful bright coral red to the luxurious feel of the click packaging – I am smitten. Roll on spring!

I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know if you’ve tried any of these products before?

Lots of love,
Andrea

*Locks all her credit cards and embraces a one month spending ban* Oh wait, is this a new MAC collection? See ya later, bye haha!
