NARS Deep Throat Blush

NARS Deep Throat Blush Swatches

Despite all my efforts and all the face oils I’ve been slathering on my face recently, my skin still looks rather lackluster and dull, which called for some help in the makeup department. I rummaged through my stash for some faux glow getters and NARS Deep Throat (here) swiftly jumped in my everyday makeup bag. We go way back and it was my preferred cheek companion this time last year. Its deeper pinky coral shade goes beautifully with my favorite spring peachy / coral lippies and takes me one step closer to achieving my beloved golden goddess look. The subtle golden shimmer running through the blush captures my heart every time and I adore the way it highlights my cheeks and adds gorgeous healthy and luminous glow to the skin.

Deep Throat is such a flattering and universal shade and I am all about its complexion-warming properties. It’s a fab skin enhancer and one of those ‘suit everyone’ people pleaser blushers that you just need in your collection pronto. Deep Throat gives the most stunning wearable and natural flush of color that perks up the skin on the spot. This gem is less glitter-laden than NARS Orgasm (here) so it’s perfect for all of you that don’t fancy going down the full-on shimmer route and just want a touch of radiance added to your complexion.

Speaking of NARS blushes, we all know that all desirable adjectives apply and Deep Throat is creamy, buttery, blendable and hangs around for ages. It applies like a breeze without accentuating dry patches or pores and gives lovely even finish. Deep Throat is one of the longest lasting blushes in my stash and its six-hour wear is everything I could ask for, and more. A* product right here. Go give it a swatch ladies!

Have you tried NARS Deep Throat before?  Which is your favorite NARS blush?

Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencil in In With Coral / Review

Maybelline really did hit the nail on the head with their Color Drama Lip Pencils (here) and I even went as far as calling them the best beauty launch of 2014. I am absolutely smitten by these super affordable babies, so adding a new shade to my collection was in order. I was after a nice vivid and bold companion for the summer months and In With Coral (here) was the answer to my prayers. It has everything on my checklist sorted and if you fancy getting your paws on a bright lippy that hangs around for ages you’ve come to the right place. In With Coral is hands down the most stunning coral pink in my collection and I love the way it warms and brightens up my complexion. The shade definitely is the brightest bulb in the box and I love its neon vibe. It still manages to be rather wearable though and it’s perfect for taking away on summer holiday.

In With Coral has beautiful sort of satin finish and the touch of moisture is everything my naturally dry lips need. The lippy feels really comfortable on and the creamy, velvet-y texture is just dreamy. My favorite part of the item in question though is the easy-to-apply formula that just glides on, giving full-blown, even color in just one swipe. Brilliant. In With Coral is one of the most rich an opaque lippies I’ve swiped on and the fact that doesn’t settle into fine lines is what makes me love it even more. The five+ hour longevity is bloomin’ impressive, considering the pencil practically melts into the lips. This gem definitely measures up to the big, high end boys (NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils I’m looking at you!) and I can’t really find a fault. It’s a good’un and if you fancy dipping your toe into the rather bright lipstick pool In With Coral is a good staring point for Summer 2015.

Have you tried this beauty before? Which is your favorite shade of the Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencils?

Lots of love,
Andrea

No7 Instant Illusions Rapid Radiance Balm / Review

No7 Instant Illusions Rapid Radiance Balm

No7 Instant Illusions Rapid Radiance Balm
Buckle up because the rave train is running a high speed service today! Ever since I got my hands on the No7 Instant Illusions Rapid Radiance Balm (here) I knew that a new serious love affair is born and this review just couldn’t wait any longer! It took me less than a second to completely fall in love with the balm and it’s been gracing my complexion non-stop since I first applied it. It’s honestly that good.

If you are ever in need for a quick and easy skin perk up you are looking at the right direction. The Rapid Radiance Balm is literally like a complexion cheerleader and a small pump of the heavenly liquid is sure to transform your skin from dull and lifeless to luminous and dewy. It’s like magic I tell you! The goddess peachy pink glow that it gives to my complexion is absolutely stunning and I am in love with my new healthy and radiant skin. The balm has velvety sheeny finish, rather that shimmery and it just brightens everything up in the most natural looking way. It is perfect for adding a touch of something to an everyday look.

The No7 offering is actually a spot in dupe for my beloved Clarins Beauty Flash Balm (here) but I actually prefer the cheaper version as it gives more glow and feels much more lightweight. The Rapid Radiance Balm has beautiful creamy texture that glides on like a dream and I love how hydrating it feels. It gives an instant illusion of better skin and I love how it smooths over pores and imperfections. The balm is my proffered base for my foundation as of late but I also looks fab on its own for an ‘I woke up like this’ effect. Love.

Have you tried the No& Instant Illusions Rapid Radiance Balm before?

First Impressions / Guerlain, Clarins & Lush

guarlain baby glow foundation, Lush BB Seaweed mask, Clarins Golden Glow booster

Oh boy do I love trying new beauty bits! But hey – I am a beauty blogger, so that’s always a good excuse to buy new products and test them out, right? I have recently had the pleasure of getting my mitts on some new gems and I just couldn’t wait to share my initial thoughts with you on here. We have a potential new favorite summer foundation on our hands, a faux-glow booster and a face mask, which left me smitten with the very first use. Allow me to explain…

Guerlain Meteorites Baby Glow* (here)
So I was send this beauty a while ago and I have no idea why it took me so long to try it. Go figure. As Summer is fast approaching now was the perfect time to dig it out though and so far so good. As a massive fan of the Meteorites Pearls (here) I had my hopes high for the liquid offering and I am quite close to give it the stamp of approval. Baby Glow has sheer coverage, which could be build to medium and feels featherlight on the skin – ideal summer companion. My favorite part though is the absolutely stunning matte, yet luminous finish that the foundation gives. It’s definitely a complexion cheerleader and makes me look healthy and radiant on the spot. Bye bye dull skin! I adore the light violet scent of Baby Glow and the fact that it has SPF 25 definitely earned it some bonus points. Keep your eyes peeled for the full report, it’s coming your way soon!

Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster (here)
Here I go again, jumping late on the bandwagon! Last year everyone was raving about this innovative Clarins gradual self-tanner and now I can finally get the hype. The Golden Glow Booster is basically a self-tanning concentrate, which you put three to five drops of in you everyday/evening moisturizer and in matter of a few hours it develops gorgeous sun-kissed glow. It gives me the ‘I just got from Bali’ vibes and I love how natural and even the tan is. I am all about the healthy, glowy look and now I can have it all year round – yay! I am absolutely blown away and I just hope that the Golden Glow Booster won’t irritate my skin now that I’ve started using it more. Full review will be in order in a few weeks, so stay tuned!

Lush BB Seaweed Mask (here)
It’s rare, very rare for me to fall in love with a face mask on the very first use. I usually need to get good few uses to notice actual difference but the BB Seaweed was quite the opposite. The mask is supposed to soothe the skin and leave it feel super soft and smooth. And does it deliver? You bet! I left the mask on for about five minutes and after rinsing it away I was smitten. The finely milled almonds have gently exfoliated the skin and it was silky soft and oh-so-smooth. My complexion was radiant, even, well moisturized and the skin felt supple and toned. It’s like a miracle in a jar – I tell you! I followed up with my favorite Lush Cosmetic Lad (here) moisturizer and the next day my skin was just beautiful. I will wait to see how my skin reacts to BB Seaweed with continues use and I’ll fill you in once I have made up my mind. But so far things are looking rather fab!

Have you tried any of these products yet? How do you like them?

Lots of love,
Andrea

Summer vibes with Yves Rocher

Yves Rocher Summer Collection
Summer is right around the corner and the holiday season is officially open whoop whoop. I just booked a nice little vacation myself and I can’t wait for some one-on-one time with the sun eep. To help me set the mood and get me beach-ready I have a lovely selection of summer-themed products from Yves Rocher (here) that not only smell like summer in a bottle but also leave my hair and body feel bloomin’ marvolous. Go fix yourself a little cocktail and let’s discuss…

Yves Rocher Delicate Cleansing Cream* (here)
I am someone who is usually rather picky when it comes to shampoos and tend to stick with what I already love (cough* L’Oreal Silver). When I received this cleansing cream though, I decided to give it a whirl and see how it performs. This baby is supposed to cleanse thoroughly and remove any build up, which is exactly what my hair needs at the moment. And I am happy to report that it does live to the expectations and worked a total treat on my hair. The non-foaming formula of the shampoo is what captured my heart the most as it wasn’t stripping and drying as most cleansing shampoos. It left my hair clean and I love how silky soft and lively my locks were after the blow-dry.

Yves Rocher Rinsing Vinegar* (here)
As someone who hates vinegar with a passion I was quite on the fence about trying the Rinsing Venegar but I am honestly so happy that I did. We definitely bonded and it’s definitely my favorite product of the bunch. The raspberry vinegar is supposed to help reduce limescale and mineral buildup, which is absolutely incredible and I definitely noticed that my locks got uber soft, smooth, shiny and somewhat more radiant. The vinegar smells good enough to eat and you just run it though your strands on the last rinse and voila – enjoy your magazine-worthy luscious locks! Love.

Yves Rocher Lagoon hair & Body Wash* (here)
Now if you fancy some holiday mood then you are in for a treat with this guy! This baby literally smells like summer and it mentally takes me to Bali every time I use it. You can use it both on hair and skin but I like to use it as a body wash and I love how well it lathers, giving me the impression of beautifully cleansed skin. The scent lingers for hours and the wash leaves my skin silky soft, thanks to the Aloe Vera it’s infused with – fab!

Yves Rocher Manoi Precious Oil* (here)
Dry oils are my soft spot during summer and this gem is my latest obsession. It ticks all the boxes and it not only smells divine but the little shimmery pigments also help enhance and maintain the tan. They help illuminate the skin and make it look sun-kissed and luminous. The oil absorbs in an instant and it’s not greasy in the slightest, which gets big thumbs up from me. I like to pop some of it on my locks for some extra shine and moisture as well. This bad boy is definitely coming with me on my hols – it’s such a fab summer product!

Have you tried any of these products before? Which is your top summer beauty essential?

Lots of love,
Andrea
